We recently took a DCL cruise this past January, and would like to start planning a WDW vacation. Previously, we have always gone with TA or booked packages with Disney direct. I have been reviewing alot of information on these boards and am thinking of booking things separately. We are looking for May 2006. Do you know how far in advance WDW takes room ressies and when is the best time in May to go. Also, we are deciding between any of the moderate resorts. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
I'm going to keep an eye on this thread We are planning for June 2007 and I'm wondering how early is too early. I'm so excited that I can't hardly help myself! I'm probably going to have my DH crazy long before our departure!! Right now I'm reading the Unofficial Guide and trying to decide where we might want to stay. I don't want to get too many ideas in my head just yet, though, because I'm sure things will change within the next two years.
I was talking to Disney this weekend, I was trying to make reservations for FW campsite for Nov, 2006 and she said they only book 500 days in advance for room reservations. I would start counting you might be close!!!
With the MYW dining plan I'm not so sure I'd be so quick to throw the TA out of the picture. You can only get the dining plan with a package. Of course this is a "do as I say, not as I do comment" as I am a DVC member...no packages available to me. However from comments I've seen on the board you probably want to check out AAA's travel agency since they give discounts.
As for time in May...I would go as early as possible but at the same time keep an eye on the Flower and Garden Festival event schedule this year to use as a guide for when in May I'd want to go for next year.
