Zerog-Thanks for the pixie dust!! Every little bit helps!:goodvibes

One more (okay, two more!) questions for those who have done this before:
1) I have packed clothes, FE and FE gifts, trip docs from Disney, passports, have state ID's and the signed copy of the Disney contract agreement. Does it sound as if I have the main essentials?::confused:

2) When we arrive at the port, is there somewhere to eat?popcorn::

Thanks everyone for your help!!!

The buffet is open on deck 9 as soon as you board the ship. That's the first place we head - except tomorrow, I'm heading over to the Excursion Desk to try and book a dolphin swim in Nassau. There are other places around the ship to get a bite to eat as well.

Hey all!!!

I was finally able to get online. We are here at the Radisson at the Port, with 4everluvdisney, just had a couple of pre-cruise drinks. DH is sound asleep and I am too excited to sleep! Guess I will need to have a few more little nightcaps!

Got a wake up call for 7:30....would like to be on the move by 9:00, return our car and then head to the port for opening. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Has anyone heard about or done the dolphin encounter in Nassau??? I would be interested in hearing about it. Also, can we go to Parrot Cay for a sit down lunch once we board?

And......I'm ready, 5 min early!! Sorry to have been so scarce this week, just so many last minute things to do! But you all know that song :goodvibes

Laura, Parrot Cay had better be open for lunch, because that is where we plan to head upon boarding, too! DH says it's supposed to open in addition to Topsiders.

So, here we go!!! I can't believe I'm this awake after just over 4 hours of sleep!! Wonder what I forgot to pack/do? Can't wait to meet everybody--I've got my bracelets on!!!!

Well, I'm shuting off the computer now as we will be going to breakfast and then heading to the port. See you all at the Magical mAYniacs meet later today. Safe trip and loads of pixie dust to all.pixiedust:

I'm back too:sad1: We had soooo much fun! My hubby is such a champ and is cutting the grass less than an hour after we got home. Me on the other hand, well....:surfweb: I'm really bummed to get back to reality. Oh well....I'll check in with you all later!

I'm baaack.....
So much laundry and stuff to put away. :sad2:

Who knew 2 people could make so much laundry on vacation?!! I have a feeling I'm going to go thru at least 1/2 a box of laundry soap today. :laundy: But what a wonderful trip (we won't discuss the sunburn)!! We got home about 11 last night and I'm still waiting for my "land legs" to return. I'm just sitting here at the computer and I swear I can feel the sway of the boat, still!!

It was so good to meet so many of the new friends we've made here on this board. Wish we could have met ALL of you! Hope everyone makes or has made it home safe and sound. Would love to sail with you again!!

Ditto. I wish I could have met more Magical Mayniacs, but that's just the way it goes. All the ones I did meet were wonderful people. BTW - I wore my green bracelet proudly everwhere I went (even on formal nite).

The weather was perfect for the entire 7 days. No rain and better yet, the seas were so calm. Unlike previous cruises I didn't see nor hear anyone with seasickness. A CM told me that it wasn't like that the week before on the Eastern. She told me they had to close the pools because water was splashing out all over the place.

We ended up taking 3 excursions: The Dolphin Swim in Grand Cayman, the Segway tour in Nassau, and we parasailed in Castaway Cay. All excursions were 'one in a lifetime' experiences. We did have a few tense moments at the start of the cruise with the Dolphin excursion - since Cozumel was cancelled, DCL booked 4 of us for a swim in Grand Caymen and the other 2 for Nassau. The Excursion CM and I went back and forth about how ridiculous that was to split up our family (I was nice about it). But, he wouldn't budge. Later, we got a call that someone canceled their GC Dolphin Swim and we took those 2 slots.

Palo brunch was awesome and so was dinner. DCL was kind enough to move dinner from Thursday to Wednesday, since the sea days had changed.

The shows were awesome as usual, but I didn't care for the hypnotist. I'm just not convinced it is real.

Putu (Indonesia) and Christian (Peru) were our servers. They were great.

Pin trading was fun. DW, myself, and the kids were always on the lookout for a nice pin worn by the CMs. By the middle of the cruise, we couldn't enter an elevator without someone commenting on the heavy metal around our necks.

Well that about sums it up. I hope other Magical Mayniacs can find time to stop and say goodbye. Thanx everyone for contributing to the fun.

I'm also home unpacking and doing laundry :( It was a wonderful trip despite the killer sunburn I have... The sunshine was beautiful but brutal at the same time!!

This was our first seven night cruise and was the BEST VACATION EVER!!! We already have another 7-Night Western booked for this September and a 7-Night Eastern booked for this December :cool1: I think we are addicted....:rolleyes1

The highlights of our trip were beautiful Rum Point in Grand Cayman, Castaway Cay and Palo Brunch. We did not eat in the dining rooms but had dinner at Palo twice (thanks to our awesome Palo server Laura). We ate at Topsiders a few nights and had great meals there. Overall, the food was great. I had fun trying new things I would not normally eat.

Here are a few of the 1000+ photos I took... Its going to take weeks to go through them all!

I hope it's okay for an outsider to step into the May 2 cruise family, but we are getting set for the May 16 Western on the Magic. Any observations or tips you would like to share? We are two sisters plus one 15 year-old girl and one 6 year-old girl.

Hi everyone !

We are back home also and it's cold ! We had to fire up the wood stove last night !

It was our first cruise experience and what an experience it was !!! My husband already wants to go back. We are thinking next March break. We would of booked on the ship, but I don't know what week the March break falls on next school year !

We did the white knuckle boat ride and what a blast that was ! Also did the Rhum Point beach day in Grand Cayman and it is the most beautiful beach I have ever saw

We had supper in the dinning rooms everynight and the food was delicious. My husband went to Lumiere's for the dessert buffet and he said that the camera wouldn't done it justice !!! We were matched up with a great family and ended up spending the days at seas, the day at Castaway Cay and most of the evenings together. The kids got along so well and so did the adults !

I wish I could of meet more of you. Maybe next time !:cutie:

Wishing everyone a good return to work

Whoa....wait a minute.....how the heck did I miss the dessert buffet in Lumiere's??!?!? What night was this? (note to self: must book another cruise for the dessert buffet) We had a similar experience with our tablemates. After worrying so much about who they would pair us up with, we had a great family who has an 8 year old daughter, and we spent a ton of time together too!

I wish I could have met more of you too!!

Happy Mothers' Day to all the mom's out there!

Hi everyone!
I was sooooo hoping others would "check in", too. (Like I really thought we would just "end it":lmao:)
What a vacation!!! My poor sister just listened to me go on and on for almost 2 hours, but guess what? I think she may be interested in going on a cruise now!:goodvibes
I had such a wonderful time meeting so many of you, and wish I could have met everyone too. And thank you everyone for all of the awesome, great, creative fish extender gifts! Don kept saying "My gosh, how many people are filling them today?" and I really don't know who ELSE was contributing, but we were getting things from people we had no idea who they were. I only wish we would have seen them so we could tell them we weren't part of their group.:confused3
If any of you ever get the chance to go to Grand Cayman again, I would highly recommed the Nautilus Semi-Submarine and snorkeling excursion. It was the most amazing thing of my trip! Well, that and the fact Don actually shocked me and bought me the most beautiful blue diamond ring. I cried my head off in the store because that's just not typical of him, which made it all the more special.:cloud9:
Unfortunately I am exhausted today since we didn't get in until about midnight and not to bed till about 2 and my dogs just wanted to play all night long. At least they were happy we're home!
Oh, and the scale reads a 4 pound gain. I don't think all that creme brulee' has sunk in yet!:scared1:
Randy and cdfl30-Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos!! Just have to sit and stare at them for a bit to relive the magic!!
Back to laundry and kitchen duties..................:sad1:
