May 18, 2013 Magic EBTA Part Two - From Tejas to España

I would book it now, and re-shop it once onboard the EBTA. The rates are really good, and the deposit for a family of four to hold it (for an inside) was about $300. :thumbsup2

Nearly $600 deposit for this family of 4, that is new booking with 20% deposit, is yours moving a dummy booking Mandy and only 10% deposit??

Awww man.... that's right. Mine was moving it over. My parents was $300 for new ressie with just two adults.

I think the dentist drilled into my brain this morning instead of just my teeth :rotfl2:

Forewarning: You might have some of us ladies beating you down with our pink feather boas from Champagne Girls if you eat the ship's supply of Chocolate Souffles!! :rolleyes1

That...could be good entertainment if I somehow get bored on the ship. I'll keep it in mind. ;)

EDIT: I will take this as a hint that one of my recipes for the Recipe Exchange should be for Chocolate Souffle.

I called DCL this morning re extension cords on this site

Can bring an extension cord for medical advice. Must bring it in carry-on bag and take it to guest services. Then the chief electrician (or was it engineer?) must verify it can be used.

Otherwise you can get an extension cord from guest services with a $50 refundable deposit. Nothing to denote on reservation to guarantee you have one waiting.

Thanks, guys! I want to book it, but I also wanna do PC. Didn't realize I could book that already! Looking now...

Hmm, the deposit for WBPC (May 2014) is $1446. I put a hold on it, but still not sure if I should book now. Do the prices rise regularly? Or are there magic numbers (as to X weeks prior, X months prior, etc.) that we will see price increases?

Good plan!! We won't make you walk the plank on Pirate Night if you have a good recipe for that pirate:

It's a crap shoot. May go up, or may have *gty rates come out like the Panama Canal cruise for this May did. Just a gamble

Yeah, I had checked previously and it was $9000+, and now just a bit over $8000, so that is why I held it. Need to talk to DH and the parents.

Perhaps I should grab the PC now and book WBTA while onboard?

Yes - I think grab PC now. Many will be hesitant to book WBTA because of airfare I think (Barcelona and San Juan).

So slightly off topic...

I had a bike wreck in third grade and broke my two front teeth when biting the curb. As a result, one has since been extracted (implant now) and the other has had a crown or veneer or whatever it's called (that has lasted 19 years). My implant has only had my temporary crown that I kept making last until new insurance kicked in for 2013 :thumbsup2 But of course the temporary popped off right before church Sunday morning (for the first time) and the temporary cement they sell at the drug store isn't that great. I had a GREAT pirate costume going!!!! pirate:

Today was the day I went to get new impressions done for both those front teeth and get new temporaries. Luckily my dentist is in my Sunday School class at church, but he kept wanting to talk about cruises. I couldn't talk with his hand constantly in my mouth! :scared1: I told him he needs to go on EBTA with us though as his kids' school ends May 17 where his wife also teaches. He was on the Carnival Triumph a few weeks ago (not the broken one), but still ready to book his next cruise! :thumbsup2 I told him with the cost of my treatment plan, he and his wife should have no problem booking the IGT rate! :rotfl2:

Omg no way! Look at Tony's FB - he ALSO broke his front fake tooth/crown/whatever that 1/4 tooth tip is called this weekend! He is such a geek, he broke it....wait for it...playing his jaw harp HAHAHAHA!!!

Glad you both got them fixed! And yeah, the cost definitely would supplement a cruise haha.

Your not having much luck are you!

What limo company are you using? We booked ours yesterday, using Texas Airport Car.

Galveston limo. Recommended by Dreams Unlimited. I didn't do any research on it. But I'm not upset with them. They dealt with it without being on hold for hours.

Talking about luck, I flew to London last night and Air Canada decided they didn't want to bother with sending my bag with me. They apparently figured my bag wanted to spend some time apart so sent it to Toronto. Brand new bag. I cannot wait until this cruise. :lmao:

Hey all, I'm new to this board / group, and I'm so excited to read stuff from other fellow travelers! I've been on lots of cruises before but never a TA one and never a Disney one. So I've got lots of questions (which I won't ask right now - can someone point me to an appropriate place to ask questions??) and I'm excited to learn more!

:) Melanie

Reading this board, ie perusing topics that look relevant to your situation and reading cruise reports are a great way to learn. Also, please feel free to ask questions, there are a lot of helpful and experienced cruisers on here who are more than happy to help first timers if they have questions.

Also, welcome to the group, and check out all the information on the first two pages of this thread!

:headache: on the tooth, but :rotfl: on your dentist being able to pay the IGT rates because of it!
