Hey everyone,
I usually never reveal this but I graduated High School in 1992, I loved 90210,Party of Five and in the 80's loved "Square Pegs"with a not so hip Sarah Jessica Parker!!!
Kristin

You crack me up girl!!! I swear there is more than coffee in your cup every morning. :lmao: ;)

I hope you're walking with us in the mornings. I'm going to need your chipper chatting to get me out of bed.

Good Morning Everyone! I have been reading the boards but have been busy with deadlines at work so not much posting. I'll catch up AFTER my coffee today (maybe after 2 cups since I screwed up so badly last time! :lmao:).

Just wanted to among the first to say Happy Saturday to each of you! In 3 weeks, at this time, we will be driving to the port!
I LOVE the fact that in THREE weeks we will be getting ready for our sail away party!!!

Well in 12 hrs she looks like she will make it out of this! The Vet said we wont see major results for a week. Shes home with us, We have a good vet...he said honestly there was no difference in her staying at the vets over being at home other then at home theres tones of love. But yesterday she wouldn't move, and this morning we found her on her favorite ledge by our window.
So glad to here she is on the mend. It will make it much less stressful for you.

Mati ~ You SO crack me up and start my day off great :)! Over the years I have "found" other DISers by the lime green ºoº paint chip. It's a very handy identifier. Please do let me know what you think you will be wearing so I can try and spot you guys. I was just thinking about what I should wear on Friday (since it's our travel day too). I'm leaning towards this hot pink halter top. It looks good with my "fake and bake tan" that I have been working on :) and I am NEVER in pictures except on vacation when I make Jake/Brian take them :). Please keep me posted on when/where you think you, Belinda and Jane (and anyone else I may have forgotten, Sonya ????) will be meeting. If I could only see you guys for a bit, it would be GREAT to finally meet everyone in person :). I told Brian last night that you and Sabrina had signed up for our Grand Cayman excursion. He asked me if I was going to talk to all these DIS people. I said "Of course I am, they are all great people!!". I still keep in touch with one family from California that we met on our last DCL cruise almost five years ago. We met in line for boarding and just hit it off. They have a daughter who is a year younger than Jake (Jake and his friend Matt were like her big brothers on the cruise, it was very sweet:)). They went to WDW (for the 1st time) after the cruise (like we did) and we were their personal tour guides. We had hoped to have a "reunion" trip at WDW this summer, but our plans couldn't mess together. So instead, we get to cruise with all you WONDERFUL folks :)!!! We are hoping to fly to the San Francisco area where they live sometime in the next year or so.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday :). Tonight is our local Catholic schools annual tuition fundraisor auction (a fancy-smanschy event).

Kathy - I picked up a couple of the mickey heads at the store so I'll be putting it on my bag. I'll be keeping an eagle eye out for you. Have a great time at the function tonight. I agree with your gams you need to wear the short dress.

Mati - the slushie/beer thing sounds like a great idea. With the EMH in Epcot will you be staying in the parks late? We have dinner plans at 8:00pm at DTD but we were planning on one last trip into Epcot for our final night. I'll send you, Belinda & Kathy our cell phone numbers so we can connect up.

Tiffany - good luck on your finals next week. I'm going to try and lay out my stuff for packing this weekend as well. I'm planning on shipping a box and I need to figure out how big a box I'll need.

Finally got all the materials together and made myself sit down and do it. This is my homage to the Adventurers Club.

We're 80% done with the magnets (unless I start printing some more).

Happy Saturday to everyone. I haven't been able to post in a while with finals going on right now but in a week it will all be over . DH and I graduated in 1998 from the same high school but we didn't meet each other until two years after graduation. I absolutely loved 90210.

I think we'll start packing this weekend. I ordered Disney character t-shirts from the Disney outlet online for $4.99 each. I thought that was a great deal. We are all wearing a different character shirt on embarkation day. We should be pretty easy to spot.

Hi Tiffany! I hope your finals go well. Just one more week!!! Isn't it a relief just thinking about it? Oddly enough, I look at a lot of my deadlines as "finals" too. I have to get it all in by Friday so next weekend should be stress free (from work at least).

We have character shirts from the outlet too! Not sure when we will wear them but me and Sabrina have matching blue Minnie and Kai and Yoni have matching Goofy.

Hey everyone,

Kristin

I LOVED Square Pegs!!! Maybe because I was a bit of a "Square Peg" in high school. You should so my senior photo ---- so so serious! It is not like me at all, at least not anymore!

You crack me up girl!!! I swear there is more than coffee in your cup every morning. :lmao: ;)

I hope you're walking with us in the mornings. I'm going to need your chipper chatting to get me out of bed.

Darling Amanda -- I am so glad I can be of service. Actually, my coffee is pretty limited (even going for the Sugar Free creamer these days) but am planning on having a Bailey's and coffee every morning on the ship. I am planning on (and will need to) walk with you guys every morning. Of course would love to get a spin class or two in there too!!!

In general, I am a happy girl. I have my moments (this past week ended bad) but in general -- just happy and blessed with my life!!!!!

I LOVE the fact that in THREE weeks we will be getting ready for our sail away party!!!

I like playing this game -- in THREE weeks from right now, we will probably be finishing dinner! Then what? Match your Mate? Games at Diversions? Family Dance at Beat Street? Hmmmmm....decisions decisions. Now how scary is it that I have a good idea on what is available and have NEVER been on the ship before???

Kathy - I picked up a couple of the mickey heads at the store so I'll be putting it on my bag. I'll be keeping an eagle eye out for you.

Ok ok ...you guys have convinced me, I'll go to Home Depot and get some lime green mickey heads to attach to my backpack!

Got it! I'll program you in. I'll email you our cell info too. I don't know if we will be there late. The original plan was to spend the morning/early afternoon at Epcot. Head back to the Swan to swim and meet up with Kym & family, then shower, put kids in the kids club and have dinner at Il Mulino at 7. Get kids @9ish and go BACK to Epcot to enjoy the EMH. Now, I may not rush it to get back to the Swan and swim (depends on how much fun we are having) and then if the kids are waaayyyy too tired, may just go back to hotel for bed. I guess I need to remember, this is a vacation so have to play it by ear and not force us from one event to another. One thing I do know, my kids can go and go and go and go for a few days before it really hits them. The unfortunate thing is I am hoping to leave by 8:45 on Sat morning so they have to get up by 8 and can't really sleep in too late.

Finally got all the materials together and made myself sit down and do it. This is my homage to the Adventurers Club.

We're 80% done with the magnets (unless I start printing some more).

LOVE IT! Looks perfect!!!!

I just talked to my Mom about borrowing the laminator to make magnets next weekend so next weekend is magnet weekend. This weekend is FE weekend -- better get cracking!!!

Have to get back to dinner. Making meatloaf with my nephew (watching him and my neice this weekend).

Great JorDan, now I feel REALLY old :(. I could be your mother.....Brian and I graduated in 1981 :(. Oh well, I always like to hang out with a younger crowd :)!! ~ Kathy
Kathy, don't worry about it. My older sister graduated in 1981 and we get along great :)

Lucky1 (again, forget the real name -- if it isn't on my spreadsheet I am in trouble! soo soo sorry) -- Congrats to you too on your anniversary. Sabrina will be finishing up 1st grade too but still will have about 1 1/2 weeks left of school when we get back.

My name is Laura, I never did post that before, so there you go for your spreadsheet. I do have a problem with posting my DD name in a public space. My DD finishes the first grade on May 15. They are done at 11:30 and we plan to leave for the airport right from School. I love having their school year end early because then we can take advantage of going on vacations without the crowds. Of course they do start back up the 3rd week of August.

That's so exciting! Congrats on your 24th Anniversary :) We have quite a few anniversary couples on this cruise! What fun! Are you planning something fun for your anniversary day?

That's great that our kids are about the same age - my son is 9. He's finishing 3rd grade.

We haven't really planned anything special for our anniversary - the cruise is our gift to each other. I need to remember to go pick up a card for Dennis so I can take it on board with me. I thought I'd make a special magnet for our door, too. Our travel agent asked what day we were planning to celebrate, so I think we may get a cake or something that evening at dinner?

Do you have any good ideas?

We aren't doing anything special for our anniversary since the trip is really for it. I might get flowers for DH in the stateroom (He is a flower type of guy, which is nice).

Not really any good ideas on how to celebrate, I know someone that did a couples spa time on their anniversary. Could just ask for a special dessert to come out at dinner?

While I didn't graduate from High school (long story) I am so old that what I watched was "Eight is Enough". Does any one remember the Bradfords?

Lucky Laura -- CUTE!!! Ok, so was worried it was my mess up. You didn't have to post your name or your daughter's. We are all good with that! Everyone has their own way and this ok! :thumbsup2

We used to end the school year early too but Texas passed a law that meant all schools couldn't start until the last week of August which now puts our release date in early June.

You can request a cake for your anniversary. Put the request in via your TA or DCL if you booked direct from them. I am reminding our servers about Yoni's birthday. We will be in Palo that night but think we will go the normal dinner (not eat but feed the kids) and celebrate then with everyone.

A lot of couples book the Rasul Spa treatment. There are a lot of rave reviews on the main board for that. It didn't seem like our kind of thing so skipped it. We did book the suite thing for 2 but backed out. I am still thinking of rebooking it as a total surprise to Yoni but it all depends on if we get EOY bonuses or not.... I am not holding my breath! Yoni loves to buy me flowers but doesn't really enjoy them as much as me. Must be nice to have a DH who enjoys them too!!!

Andy - Thanks, I was going to surprise Jim, but it became too hard to try working on it and keep it a secret.

Laura - Jim's not a flower type of guy. I'd like to surprise him with something, just can't figure out the perfect thing.

I watched Eight is Enough all the time. Joni was way too whiney and the red hed drove me nuts. My favorite was the older borther. Was not into Willie Ames, but liked the whole family show theme.

Mati - We're planning on spending the morning and afternoon at Epcot (it's our favorite park) so we could do a meet anytime up till about 6:00pm (so we have time to go back to change and get ready for dinner). If I remember correctly Off Kilter probably plays in the afternoon a couple of times so we could meet Kathy in Canada between shows.

Sorry I can't remember, who all will be in the parks pre-cruise?

Hey - I could be your older sister. I graduated in 1980. Most of my friends are younger than I am. At least we're close in age.

Has anyone ever had to get a phone message when on the cruise? I found an 888 number in the passporter but was just wondering how it all worked. My Mom hasn't been in the best of health and I want to leave a number where we can be reached in case anything were to happen and the boys needed to get in touch with us.

I have. I was sitting watching a show while on a RCCL ship when my phone vibrated. DS was calling. Fortunately it wasn't an emergency, but he did need to talk and it couldn't wait.

Very cute FE pockets 2 Eagle Mom!!! I like how they have flaps...good idea for those, keeps your FE gifts safer.

Mati- Sounds like you are having a good day!! Your chipper attitude is helping me with my grumpy one.

3 weeks is too far away.....

Austin glad your kitty is feeling better. I'm sure all the love is helping Sammi heal faster.

I'm giving my hubby an extra anniversary gift before we go.. new Oakley sunglasses. That'll make him happy forever. (he's a MAJOR sunglass nut, they are always on his head. I'll have to watch him at dinner to make sure he doesn't walk in with them- even his Wii Mii has sunglassed on its forehead hehe)

Also, for those still looking for Formal gowns...go look now!!
I just happened to get drawn into JC Penney the other day and found a formal dress! I'm so excited. I had one I was going to wear but it was a bit snug and I was worried about busting a seam- heaven forbid I starve myself either on a cruise!
I got a nice dress for $25!! I'm all set with my cruise clothes

Now only kick my housemate out so I can have my packing room back....:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Well, at our table for 6, Adam and I will be sure to bring our canes and walkers! (Lynsay and Jordan are way younger than us!!!)

While I graduated in 1995, I really never went to high school a single day of my senior year! I was in college full-time and actually drove 4 hours home on graduation day, attended my graduation (gave the salutatorian speech....yes....I've already said I'm a nerd), and got up at 4 am the next morning to drive back the 4 hours to take my Calculus II final! It was a whirlwind few days for sure! My sister graduated in 1998 (once again though, didn't really go to high school during her senior year) and my brother in 2001, so they are closer to Jordan and Lynsay's ages (and their spouses)!

Mati: Thanks for being so cheery! :cheer2: It made me smile to read your posts! We may be a tiny pinch younger (though Adam is 36), but we tend to associate mostly with folks a little older than us. There just aren't many 31 year old female surgeons hanging out in small towns...

Andy: Glad Sammi is feeling better! :cheer2: We love our dogs tremendously (enough to pay a pet sitter $500 for the week we'll be gone) and certainly understand how stressful it is when they get sick!

Jane: Your FE is really cool and creative! I always wanted to go to the Adventurers Club, but never made it... Now, I kind of regret it.:sad2:

Laura: Hope you are feeling better. Take care and get well.

Tiffany: Good luck on your finals! I remember those days all too well...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I'm on call this weekend and next weekend, but I'm trying not to complain because at least I'm NOT on call the weekend before we sail! Today has been busy and it's realy nice to sit and read the boards for awhile! (2 ICU admissions, 1 hospital admission, 1 trip to the operating room for let's just say...a retrieval of a travel toothbrush carrier from a place it certainly didn't belong...:rolleyes1, and rounds on 7 other patients!)

I'm going to tackle our T-shirts if I don't get too busy at the hospital tomorrow. Adam was nice and hand-washed my new pink t-shirt that I plan to use the transfer on. Unfortunately, he put it in the dryer with dark clothes....:headache: So, we'll see how it looks... Magnets are done and after the last page was such a pain (kept jamming the printer), I don't see myself making any more!

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Ewwww...kind of glad I've never been interested in medicine as a job. The stupid things people do to themselves.

Ewwww...kind of glad I've never been interested in medicine as a job. The stupid things people do to themselves.

Well, obviously it's not one of my favorite parts of medicine! Avoiding this area all together is a goal of mine, which is why I primarily do cosmetic work. However, I have to take general call to maintain my hospital privileges and I was the victim on call today. The good news is that I made a few bucks and helped someone out.

Good evening all hope you had a good saturday 85 and sun all

Anyone here watch LOST? Love LOST!

That's so funny. I do a "fashion show" too before I cruise! My DH is used to them now. Are you going to bring one of those dresses on the cruise?

Kim

Hi Kim ~ LOST lover here!! I drive Brian and Jake nuts when it's on because I am always talking to the TV (i.e. Oh that makes sense now, she knew him blah blah blah :)). I think I may bring the purple dress that I wore tonight. With a little color from my fake tan, it did look pretty nice.

Hey my dear, if you got it, flaunt it! At least that is my motto. Fortunately for everyone, don't really think I have much I need to be flaunting buy my goal has been to be hotter at 40 than I was at 20 and I still have almost 2 years to go! :thumbsup2

If I can get to the Coop downtown, I am thinking we will all be in Texas longhorn gear. As soon as I buy it will let you know. I will be in some kind of tank as well. I also am planning a "fake and bake" tan but haven't made it over to the tan shop yet. I have to be careful...I am as white as a vampire!!!! ;) I am rarely in pics too mainly because I shy away from them but also because I take them. This time I am going to do it, I promise, I won't hide! (ok, so maybe I'll hide a little)

You'd better talk to us! We are pretty easy going people. Yoni can look scary with his Finnish demeanor but once he is loosened up, he is all smiles. I am pretty sure we will stick with the excursion. As I promised Kym -- NO MORE CHANGES!!!! Once we figure out when and where to meet in Epcot I will let you know. I'll also PM you our cell too. I am thinking it will be later and maybe we can meet up for a Grand Marnier Slushie or Beer at the Pub or something? Any ideas????

Sounds like you will have fun tonight. Brian is right -- go short -- flaunt those legs baby!!!!!

Mati ~ I believe you can definitely be hotter at 40 than at 20, so go for it :)! Texas Longhorn gear, that should be easy to spot :). We can work on your photo phobia and have a picture or two of us at Epcot on Friday as practice for the cruise :). Don't worry, I will definitely talk to you. I used to be painfully shy until I got out of high school and then I "bloomed" :)! I'm so glad you are planning on sticking with the GC excursion. Either the GM slushie or beer at the pub (Strongbow is my favorite :)) sounds like a winner! And they are both close to my beloved Off Kilter stage in Canada. I am open to any other ideas too.

We had fun at the auction tonight. One of the big sellers was a dinner for 6 prepared by a group of nuns. There was a bidding war going on and the nuns agreed to do two dinners. The winning bid was $10,000 for EACH dinner!!! The nuns were so cute. They all got up on stage and said a little something, it was very sweet. And if I must say, I did look pretty good in my short purple dress :).

Good Morning EVERYONE!!!

Ok, I haven't even had one cup of coffee yet so a bit scared to write.

Good Morning My Sweet Jane!!!! I LOVED Eight is Enough growing up. Me and my sisters watched it all the time. I guess that might make me old. Another favorite of mine was Silver Spoons :lmao: I was so in love with Ricky Schroeder. Right now we are watching Buffy the Vamipire Slayer -- a little at a time. Yoni bought me the set for Christmas and it is a great "filler" when there is nothing good on TV.

I love the idea of doing an afternoon get together at Epcot. I think Belinda gets there a bit later but it should work. That way if we get caught up with other things after dark, there are no worries.

I know Kim is also at WDW but going to the Magic Kingdom that day. Kym will also be there but she is not going to the parks. I know there are more but can't remember.....:rolleyes1 (remember, it is early and no coffee yet!)

I have. I was sitting watching a show while on a RCCL ship when my phone vibrated. DS was calling. Fortunately it wasn't an emergency, but he did need to talk and it couldn't wait.

Ah! Thanks for the tip Susie Q (ok, Sue but Susie Q is so great!). I have to remember to turn our phones OFF -- especially Yoni's. We don't need to get email on the ship on a daily basis. I did read there is an 800 number they can call. It was in the cruise doc info. I will use that and then we will check email a few times during the week.

Mati- Sounds like you are having a good day!! Your chipper attitude is helping me with my grumpy one.

....

Ok, Princess JorDan -- spill the beans....who on earth has invaded our Princess' Castle???? Whoever it is, do we need to rally up the troops, storm the castle and kick them out?

Ok, as for being chipper. It is easier to be happy on the weekends. I do my best to stay positive BUT definitely have bad days (just watch my FB status, you'll see!). You guys are all so wonderful, :cloud9: I can't help but be happy. Besides, how can I be unhappy? I have a healthy happy wonderful family and am about to go on vacation with a TON of FANTASTIC friends. How great is that?!?!

Yoni is SERIOUS about his sunglasses too. He won't go anywhere without them but they don't end up on top of his head -- he stores them hanging off the collar of his shirt. He has something by Maui Jim right now.:confused3 I need to go get a new pair before the cruise. I won't spend near as much as him but would love some that express my inner DIVA :dance3:.

We may be a tiny pinch younger (though Adam is 36), but we tend to associate mostly with folks a little older than us. There just aren't many 31 year old female surgeons hanging out in small towns...

So we have a little Einstein in our Precious Cinda do we?? That's ok, by my own admittance, I was quite a nerd in High School too and Yoni is....well, Yoni is Yoni. He is a smart cookie too! Adam is older than Yoni! Yoni turns 35 on our second sea day so it is all good. How about we pretend I am 31 like you??? :rolleyes1

Is it Jungle Jane? What is the Adventurers Club? Sounds pretty cool....what is it?

Ok and Dr. Cinda -- All I can say is EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW.:scared:

I graduated in 1984 and Carrie in 1989

goodnight all

Ok, assuming this is Gordon and not Carrie -- am I right? Gordon, we are NOT too old to remember a favorite show -- we just have a lot more memories that get all jumbled together! ;) Tell Lacy, the book (Twilight) is 100X better than the movie.

I think I may bring the purple dress that I wore tonight. With a little color from my fake tan, it did look pretty nice.

Good Morning My Darlin' Kathy! I am so glad you guys had fun last night. I can't believe the dinners went for 10k!!! That is the price of a Med cruise! I am glad it was successful for Brian.

Sounds like you were HOT HOT HOT in your purple dress. Nothing like a fake tan to help out an outfit (although) I am sure you didn't need it.

We LOVE Strongbow. Yoni gets on a kick and will drink that instead of beer. In Finland it is as common to order hard cider (they have their own brands) as it is to drink beer (men and women). I like it too but only if it is really dry.

Ok, I am allowed to have coffee now so off to go have a cup (or two).

Have a good Sunday everyone!
