Hi everyone! I've been MIA this week but as Mati shared, I don't have to have surgery until AFTER the cruise!

It will put me down for a while but I'm okay with that (I know, sounds a little crazy but I'll be high on disney)!
I have caught up reading all of the pages but don't have time to comment on everything I want to!
The FEs look awesome! I handmade mine last year and so I get to use the same one since we didn't put a date on it!!
I would definitely bring your blowdryer. This is
DCL #4 and I don't leave home without it! The blowdryers on the ship are like hotel dryers but are weird because they are like a vacuum.
A while back someone asked about the Exotic Rasul. Hubby and I did it the first 2 times we cruised. Last time we splurged for the villa because it was our 10th anniversary. A few warnings about the Rasul....
1. It gets VERY hot! We have tried it in the evening and first thing in the morning. I just have to tell you that we burned the hell out of our feet (sorry for swearing but it was so hot)! They give you plastic sandals but the amount of water in the steam room area was over my feet. But the part where you smother each other with the different products they give you is fun. You will pamper each other and be creative as you want to be.

I don't know what any of the products were for but somehow my skin felt better when we were finished!
2. Take a watch in with you. They knock on the door to give a 10 min warning but if you are in the steam room thingy area, you can't hear it

3. The rasul isn't for everyone. Some like to be pampered in a relaxing environment. I wouldn't say this is the right thing for you (unless you want your hubby to pamper you)!!
A tip about going to the spa......
We had a couples massage a few years ago in the morning. We got off and went to the beach in St. Martin. I fried myself!

I put sunblock on in layers but because the oil that they massage you with is in your pores, you can't avoid it! PLEASE be careful to anyone having a spa treatment in the morning and then going into the sun! Especially going to the beach!
I can't believe the trip is only 16 days away for us. We have been taking out numbers off our countdown since 50 and we are getting down there. Maybe tomorrow I'll take a pic of the countdown that's left!
We went shopping for the girls yesterday and still have a few things to get for them. Now me.....that's another story

. Will be running a little tomorrow to get a few things knocked off the list.
Mati-I can't believe they shut down schools for the week! It's amazing where you can get all of those little germs...and it's so hard to avoid them! I'm so happy that our grocery store here keeps wipes outside by the carts because ewwwwwwww.....they are so gross!!
Cinda.....another ewwwwwwwww!! I shared that story with my husband and we both laughed until we cried. We needed a good laugh tonight!!
We usually always change into something more comfortable after dinner. They seem to have relaxed on some of the dinner dress rules so with capris or jeans on, we might stay in them depending on weather. Also depends on what we are doing after dinner!
A few little tips that I have learned from 3 DCL cruises:
1. Bring a power cord. Seems kind of bulky but with laptops, cameras, video cameras, ipods, etc....you'll need it!
2. An over the door organizer really comes in handy. This can either be the long ones or even a shorter one with 6 pockets from the dollar store. If you are traveling with 2, you might not need it. When you have kids (especially little ones), you are apt to travel with more medicine, etc. Also, with girls, we have hair products, hair ties, headbands, etc. It just helps to keep everyone organized.
3. We do laundry mid week. With going 2 days before and 3 days after, it's too many clothes to pack. We do it at night time when we woudl be in the cabin anyway and it only takes like 1.5 hours. Would rather do that than lug another suitcase of extra clothes! Sounds like a pain but is really a lifesaver!
4. Realize that you can't do everything! I tried the first 2 cruises to do as much as we could with 2 little kids. I nearly passed out walking off the ship! Last trip, we took it a little bit easier and we enjoyed ourselves so much more! At first, I went on the ship with all of these high expectations of what I wanted to do only to have a mad husband and 2 tired and cranky kids!

Just realize that you can plan until you are blue in the face but I will tell you right now that you don't want to disappoint yourself! Just ask my husband!!

5. We have sent a box every time we've cruised and it's been there when we get into the room! The size restrictions have changed this year.
Cinda, did you mail your box? I think I read that. What size was it? Did you put a packing list on the outside of the box?
I can't remember the rest.....ask questions if you have them!!
Sonya...you better ask them quickly as you pack up the last few things!
I'm off the print a few things off and go to bed. Been a long weekend!
Hugs!!
