So now I just need to get past these next few weeks of being super busy then I will be able to focus on our vacation stuff.

I just can't believe how quickly it is all approaching! It seemed so far away and now BOOM here it is just around the corner.

I am just glad we were able to get the dolphin thing. We had to go thru the place to get a spot. It filled up fast thru DCL but we went online and got an afternoon time frame directly through Dolphin Encounter.
Whoosh! My girls were so focused on doing that if I had to tell them no they would have been just crushed.

OK so what other great tips do all of you pros have!

I am happy to hear online registration is so easy. I will make sure to sign up the kids for the clubs too.

The Flying Dutchman… from what I have read on some recent posts it is supposed to be there past the time we cruise. One post said it would be there till a hurricane washed it away. Since Castaway Cay may just have an invisible Disney Approved bubble protecting it from bad weather it could last forever!

Scottie I am gald to hear that. My boys will so happy to see Jack's ship.They are just so into that.

I just looked and I have 49 days from today we leave. I can not hardly beleive it. It is getting so close. Or 6 weeks how ever you want to look at it. I was always told good things come to those who wait. And I think that is true.

Any plans for a DIS meet on the ship? Just wondering.

Three o'clock on embarkation day seems to work well. There really isn't too much going on then. The Promenade Lounge is a nice quiet place to talk and it is easy to find other DISer's. I've been to very nice DIS meets there.

Any other suggestions?

I have never been on a Disney Cruise, so I will trust the seasoned vets to figure a good time to meet. I already know that I will be running to make reservations as Palo and the spa as soon as I can. But I think both of those start at 1PM. So 3PM is good for me. I think I will put a picture of Luke and I on my signature too.

We are just doing the cruise, no WDW before. Although, we went for 5 days in Jan. So if anyone has any questions about WDW with a 3 year old, I would be happy to answer. We had a great time at WDW but really toned it down.

I also have matching pants with my son. And yes, my husband thinks I am a dork too! Plus, I used to make fun of people that did that. It is all about my son now, so I don't really care anymore. He thinks it is cool!!!

That sounds fine here. It would just be fun to meet hose who have been online with our group. Put a face with the name. I understand that some of us might get held up or might lose track of time but it would be fun to meet as amany as we can.

I know that is what my husband just said. What with the kids good luck. We are going to make big effort to come to any meet. With or with out the kids. He just hinks they will be pulling us around. All we can all do is try.

Hey all I was on the DCL website and messing around. I saw that my trip went up in cost about 1,200.00 big ones. Also saw they are not offering some of the lower Cat. Rooms on the ship. Like Cat 12 is gone not even showen. I am think that is because it is sold out. So it looks like our ship if filling up. Maybe some of us will get that upgrade. Would that not be great.

I have been hoping for the upgrade fairy I also have been watching the senior discounts (my mom) and military discounts (me). Nothing so far. Bummer. I am cat 8 with a large window. I am fine with that room. But you can't help hoping.

I know the feeling. I am happy with our room to but would love a upgrade. It would be like xmas in May. But I guess we will have to wait and see what comes up in the next few weeks. I have been checking the DCL site to see if my room number has changed no such luck yet.

We had a cat 4 room the past two cruises and loved it. We ended up going with two cat 6 connecting rooms this time since we now have the added person with Dylan. I would be jumping for joy if we got bumped to two cat 4 rooms, though I know that is highly unlikely!

Refund is here so we have our spending money so now come on May. We are now have everything we need to go to Disney. I guess we just wait at this point. But aleast the money is in hand.

We got some not so good news today. My MIL lost her job this morning. I am not sure where we stand now with the whole vacation, I guess we will see what works itself out over the coming week to month.

I wanted to thank everyone for thinking of us during this time. You are all a great group! I am going to try not to worry about it for the next week or two...if possible.

Scottie That is what we are all here for is to listen ok read each other. I hope everything works out. We are in the building field here and lets just say building is way down and my husband is next on the layoff line or was. Then they dropped his pay big time (long story). We talked of not going on the trip but after thinking it over by me my husband said no right away. We said lets go. I could not bring myself to tell the kids. And last night the brought one layoff back so I think we will be ok and things are looking up for us here. Now if he can get back on days and back to normal pay.

Things have away of working themselves out for us. Think good things and that is what you will get.

As for the MIL, she called my DW this AM and said she has had several local people in her industry already contact her. I guess word got around fast that a good person was let go! She thinks she may be able to land a new job in the near future... and said we should still plan on the full vacation! Subject to change of course.
