Have any of you had dinner at the Coral Reef, and what did you think?

We haven't been, but we have an ADR for May. We are looking forward to it, the idea of "dining with the fishes" sounds kinda cool.

I haven't been to the Coral Reef yet, but made a reservation for dinner on May 14th. It has mostly good reviews on AllEars, and I think the kids will really enjoy watching the sealife as we dine. It may be the only peaceful dinner we get! So I would say if you are on the dining plan - go for it, if not I probably wouldn't go there just because it is soooo expensive!

If you want a really peaceful dinner, try the Sci Fi! My dh and I took our boys when they were 9 and 5, and it was the best time (not the best meal, but the best time) we had all week! (actually, I take that back. It was the 2nd best time we had all week. The first best was putting the boys in the Cub's Den at the WL and having dinner at Artist Point. That was GREAT!) The boys sat in front of the car, and my dh and I sat behind them. It was like a date for us! LOL We didn't hear a peep out of the boys the entire meal!

That's too funny!! I actually did think about the whole fish thing, but figured none of us would be ordering fish anyway. I'm looking forward to the steak, it's supposed to be great! Hopefully it will be a good experience seeing that it is our anniversary dinner!

Don't forget to call the Coral Reef (407) 939-3463 and have the Diver hold up a sign for you...so cool! The service is free and I'm not sure how many days out you need to plan for it. Lots of threads on this in the Disney Restaurants section...do a search to find.

I did set that up just a few weeks ago after reading about it on another thread. I am pretty excited about it! I am nervous that they will forget to do it though!! And I am having trouble keeping the secret from DH. I already told him that I have a surprise for him at WDW and he is driving me nuts trying to find out what it is!
I can't believe it is free. Not too much is free at WDW!
