You could come out to California and ride SM out here in the meantime. Hint hint!

Well, great! That just means we all HAVE to go back for another trip in 2009 to see the changes. Oh, the hardship...:lmao:

JO

ooh, I am still working on that one! ;)

Baby, if you're reading this, I want to go to DL for our anniversary, not Ireland...

:lmao:

JO

:cool1: 800 Pages!

Shelly: Thanks for the DVD video review. How many hours long are they? Are they narrated or have any special music?

Going out on a date with my wife tonight. Maybe we will come home really late! Seacrest :cool1:

I'm not sure how long the DVD's are. I got 7 in total. I think it says they are 16 hours total. I still haven't watched them all. No, there's no special music to them or anything. You hear what you would hear if you were actually there. It's not professional by any means. It would be as if you taped them all yourself as you went through the rides and attractions. Most of them start when you are walking through the line and go until the ride/attraction ends. Some of them are shaky and dark, some of them are very nice.

So how was your date night???

Has anyone heard that Space Mountain may be undergoing a huge refurb beginning in either April or May? And the TTA would be closed down as well during that time. It may take anywhere from 12-18 months to fix.

Oh my.

Jo

Oh My! :scared1: I sure hope that's not true!! DS8 will be SO disappointed.

Okay, so here are the results of my MRi's...

as far as my toe that is swollen, it's not broken, there is fluid (lots of it) on it, and I have to start taking a high, high dose of steroids to see if it will decrease the inflammation. It *could* be a sign of arthritis that isn't showing up yet in blood tests.

As for my knee...:sad2:

There seems to be fluid on it, as well as a tear to my ACL. So I have to see an orthopeadic surgeon and possible have surgery to fix it.

Lovely.

I KNEW there was a reason we chose to go to WDW next November!~

UGH.

Jo

Glad you are finally getting some test results. . . Hopefully now you can get things taken care of. Surgery is no fun, but it usually is worth it in the end.

Well, great! That just means we all HAVE to go back for another trip in 2009 to see the changes. Oh, the hardship...:lmao:

JO

:lmao: Great idea!! 2009 ~ Here we come!! :snooty:

Evenin' Mayers!
Super busy here, as always...I can't wait til next week is over, that's when everything will finally slow down.

The ice storm that went through the midwest did hit here....I actually stayed at a friend's house last night so I wouldn't have to drive as far, and so I could get to a group meeting for our project that's due on Tuesday.

Good morning MAYers!

After all my shopping we put up the tree and all of our decorations last night! :santa: As I was decorating the house I was thinking about my MAYer friends and how much fun it would be if we all posted pictures of our Christmas tree & decorations!! What do you think???

Have a great weekend everyone!

This sounds like a great idea!!

Hello MAYers…Thanksgiving was wonderful…lots of good food…lots of family…lots of fun…:cool1:
BUT!...Oh! Yes!…there is a but!...late last week we received news
about our area that made us re-think about living here…lets me explain…we live by one of California’s freeway…and there will be some MAJOR work on said freeway that will impact our house and lives…so…we will be selling our house and moving on after the holidays…the market is (well…down) and we know it may take some time to sell…but…(OH, the buts) onward and upward…
We have lived in this house for 22 years Yikes! And we need to get a few things done on the house to get it on the market…and with this news…I will let you know we have canceled our trip for next May..Yes! We have!…we will be sad not to get to meet-up with the MAYers…but don’t despair…Disney is not all lost…we plan on a trip to Disneyland when we settle down again…So what a whirlwind Thanksgiving we have had…and we will keep you posted as too our progress in moving…
JC

 JC,
Hopefully it sells quick and at your price

Hey Huggie! :)

I need to start my baking sometime soon. I don't mind baking, it's just the thought of getting started! I usually make about 8 different kinds of cookies. :scared1: I need to start a grocery list and get all the stuff and then just do it!

Sulley - How are you? Getting excited I bet! :yay:

:snooty:

VERY excited....I'm ready to be there now!

:grouphug: prayers and pixiedust for no surgery and that the steroids help kick the swelling

Lots of thanks and hugs  to my buddies who are wishing me well...

We went to church this morning, then out to eat. I have taken three doses of my steroid and it is making me a bit woozy.

So we get up to leave the restaurant, and I'm standing there at the front door, waiting for the kids and Mark and he comes up, takes one look at me, and realizes what I'm getting ready to say before I say it...
"I'm going to pass out".

Ah, don't you love it when you've been married long enough to look at your spouse and KNOW what is happening before it happens???:) See, we've been through this before with me, but only every time I am pregnant. There was this little incident in Canada (the real Canada, not EP) where I said I was going to pass out and he didn't believe me...
and two seconds later, he was picking me up off of the street at a busy intersection...

Anyway, this time, he grabs me and the kids are like :scared1: and he whispers in my ear "Well, at least we know you aren't pregnant, so I feel really good about life right now.":rotfl2:

Anyway, it ended up that I didn't pass out, which is a good thing. I would've hated for the restaurant manager to have to explain that to the incoming customers...
"Welcome, and please do not mind the lady on the floor, she had a bad pasta dish, but she's gonna' be walking it off any second now. Right this way, I"ll
show you to your table...":lmao:

Anyway, that's the update from JoBird's corner. I'm so glad i could amuse you this afternoon.

Hope you are all doing great.

Sulley~ I am excited for you! How about roommates? Do you know anything? Which park are you working at? Throw us a bone tell it all to us. We are dying to live vicariously through you.:grouphug:

Shelly~ I sure am glad I moved to Pittsburgh for the weather...

JC~ Still waiting to hear from you, girlie.

Seacrest~ That Aladdin was too cute. He isn't the one that was dating the Big Brother reality star was he?

JM~ Where are you? How's your G'Ma and that handsome Prince of yours? Have you firmed up any plans for your trip yet?

Mella, oh Mella~ You'd better get that tree up, girl! Mine stays on continuously...*sigh* :santa:

Huggie~ I wanna' hear all about your cookie exchange.popcorn::

Did I get everyone? I'm sorry if I left you out. I heart you all.

OH. MY. GOSH.
I just looked at my smilie list and MY BANANA IS FROZEN!

I'VE GOT A FROZEN BANANA! That's definitely not something you say everyday, although in Pittsburgh, one can never be too sure. hahahahahahahahaha.

Good Morning MAYers! :goodvibes

WOW it's cold and windy here today! And the school bus was 20 minutes late. :confused3 Don't know why, there's no real snow to speak of yet. Sure was cold at the bus stop all that time! :cold:

Mella, the tree looks great! :thumbsup2 I need to take some pictures of mine!

Sulley, good to hear from you! :yay:

JO, frozen banana :lmao: !!

Huggie, 5 days!!!!! :santa:

What's everybody else up to??? JC, DMM, JM, NewCrew, don't disappear on us! :rotfl:

Hello all!!

I am freaking out!! I have so much to do before we go. I truly haven't done anything.

Yesterday I thought I smelled gas in the house and I called the gas company in and long story short when we had work done in the house the contruction company didnt vent the gas regulator and the gas company saw it (we had no idea) They shut our gas down and we had to get a plumber in to do the work. I am sure you guys can understand how expensive it is to get a plumber on Sunday. The work got done and the gas was back on last night. So we gave the house a nice gift. :headache:

So anyway the cookie party was GREAT!! We had a great turnout and everyone left around midnight. :woohoo:

Jo- Sorry about all your medical issues. You are a strong woman you will will be fine. I will pray for you. :wizard: Thanks for all the countdowns

Sulley- Hi

Shelly- It snowed here yesterday. It was nice.

Seacrest- Howdy!!

Mella- Loved the tree

Hello to everyone else.

I just ordered a case of water to the hotel and I have to run and grab a couple of snacks and stuff for the trip. I will start packing tomorrow.
I am getting nervous now. I love going away, I just hate leaving. I especially miss me doggies.

Whoa Jo, I hope you didn't hurt yourself falling down.

About Aladdin aka Eddie - I don't think he was the one dating her. He is doing some modeling now and is working on a album. Expecting him to break out and do some big things soon.

Sea

I just had to say that there was no snow to speak of here this morning. . . Well now the ground is covered! I normally do not mind a little snow around the holiday's, but it is still so dang windy! I feel like the house is going to blow off the basement! :scared1:

Since it was too cold to do anything else I decided to start my baking this morning. I just started with the basics and made chocolate chip, chocolate with chocolate chips, peanut butter, peanut butter blossoms, and almond slivers. Maybe tomorrow I'll attempt something a little more difficult!! I am the only one in my entire family who can make my great-grandmother's secret family recipe sugar cookies and have them taste just like when she made them! I guess I should be proud to be able to do it, but it usually means that I have to supply the whole family with them!

Huggie - Sorry you had to have such an expense right before your vacation. At least you were able to smell the gas before it turned into something worse.
Looks like the weather is going to be nice for your trip! :santa: In the 70's!
5 days!! Where's JO - you need your daily countdown!!

It is sooo windy here. Our blow up decorations outside are holding on for dear life.
