Lake, I forgot to tell you to go to the Exchange Building and Provost Dungeon (all in one building) at the end of East Bay Street. It's near Rainbow Row.
Anyway, it's where George Washington gave his address. Also in the dungeon, they kept pirates (!
!) there. Steve Bonny, the Gentleman pirate was one of the notorious pirates that was kept there.
(It's also haunted, just ask the tour guide.) With a twinkle in their eye, they will say they've never seen anything.
But the last time I went there and just as I asked, the elevator came down and opened it's doors (I'm not kidding). No one had been near it to press the button. The tour guide looked over his shoulder and said "yep.(wink) I've never seen anything."
