I haven't been on the boards or read so I have no idea what is going on and I will do so late tonight - I miss you all. Two things, I cannot find the detergent at ANY Bed, Bath & Beyond, so I apologize for all those people waiting for me to get it. Secondly, we are FINALLY packing and my husband just tried on his 70's outfit - and I don't know whether to scream, laugh or cry. It is funny! Is anybody else dressing up for those wild nights? Anyway, I will warn you all ahead of time. He is the one in the green Mr. Furley outfit from Three's Company. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, that reminds me, I went to Bed Bath and Beyond, and the manager said they returned all the travel detergents, they were EXPLODING in their packaging....can you imagine what would happen on an airplane? :laundy:

I never thought of costumes for the 70's nights! KEWL!

I can't wait to see either!

Ok, I have to admit I was stressing out about the packing. I actually was sick this morning thinking about it. But I got out my list and sorted the clothes and put them in the suitcases, and VOILA, 6 hours later I am all packed. The only items I still haven't put in are the hair brushes, curling iron and hair dryer. I guess doing all the prep work with the shampoo and stuff and baggin it all up before hand really did work. Even the camera bag is done!!:lmao:

Finish updating my Ipod and I will be good to go!!

Wow, you are sure are farther along than I am!!! I was busy all day today getting food all set up for the kids, getting everything clean and organized for them too. Hoping to start packing and the final last cleaning this coming week....I will get the suitcases out and measure tonight. :woohoo:

Greetings from the World!

We arrived....our flights were a pain...delayed the first leg so that the time between our connections was less than 15 minutes so we were literally SPRINTING through the Atlanta airprot....and the gates were as far apart as they could physically be!! Then once we just barely made that flight, we sat down, they shut the doors, and we proceeded to sit hot and sticky on the plan for 45 minutes waiting in line to take off....ggrrr!!!

But we're here and thrilled to be so!

:tigger:
Erik

Wow, you were lucky to get to your plane, trying to catch a connection in Atalata is such a pain, almost as bad as the Houston Airport.

Welcome to Orlando...:goodvibes

And the best news of my day:

Off Kilter
High-energy progressive Celtic music.
Sunday-Thursday at 2:30, 3:30, 5:30, 6:30 & 7:30pm
Length of show: 30 minutes

This weeks schedule is out!!! They will be playing on Thursday and I will definately make the first show!

So who ever will be at WDW on Thursday, May 10, stop by the Canadian Pavilion and visit. I will be wearing a pink shirt, black shorts and an OKW cap :) (Actually it is the same shirt I am wearing in my pic on the roster:lmao: )

Debbie

Did you just get tagged by the Tag Fairy or have I missed it all this time??

I am probably going to be posting live from the ship and doing a trip report. I need the internet for keeping in touch with some of my kids at home, and a little teeny bit for work/quick emails. So any day now I will be posting a pre-trip report so I can get the thread set up before cruising. I am hoping to maybe post a few pics too. We will see how my wireless internet minutes onboard go.
Hang in there, June will be here before you know it!

Should we use your trip report as our main thread on that board? I know a lot of people are anxious to see how things go on the sailing.

Can somebody please PM me and let me know what the surprise package is from DVC? I know you don't want to ruin it for everyone else, but so many of you have gotten them, and we did not get ours. If it's something valuable, I want to call DVC Monday and ask what's up. Thanks!
Chris

Nope... I have had it for a little while :)

Deb

Hey Deb,

I just checked out your webpage and WOW!!! You have been doing a lot of work on it!!! Looks totally awesome to see where everyone's room is!! You are awesome for doing all of this!!!:cool1: :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Things are going "downhill" here. Not in a bad way, but I woke up this morning about 6:20 and had a terrible time falling back to sleep. Then I spent a couple hours at a friend's house and she and her DD had to know EVERYTHING about the trip (and I happily obliged). Now, I can't concentrate, I burst out into fits of spontaneous giggles, and DH is giving me that look  :sad2:  whenever I look at him.

I don't know how I am going to make it until Friday morning. I started doing some packing, in the hopes that accomplishing something would calm me down, but all it did was make the anticipation worse. I'm so jealous of everyone that has already left or is leaving before Friday.

We will not be making it to DL tomorrow after all. We are all so tired here and I did not get done nearly as mch packing today as I should have. :rolleyes1

DD5 is so tired from how busy we have been that she is the one tonight that said she did not want to go. You do not have to tell me twice at this point.

I was looking forward to meeting you guys tomorrow but I guess it will have to wait till next Saturday. :)

Enjoy your day!

You will get to meet some of us this Friday!!!

By the way, I know that is your daughter, but is that YOU and your daughter or someone from DL dressed up as Wendy?

Inquirying minds and all...

Night all!!

Sure, whatever everyone wants. I agree that alot of people will want to know how its going! Please anyone feel free to post whatever they want. I will post the link once I get it set up...don't know how much in advance would seem too "tacky"...LOL

:)
Can someone tell me how the dress it for the Semi-Formal nights?

DH has 2 uniforms that he can bring... Mess Dress should be worn when tuxs are worn so that should be what we bring for hte formal night. It is not however my favorite uniform.

He also has Dress Blues (Marine uniform most people recognize). I was thinking he could wear that on the semi-formal night.

Here are my concearns...
1. Bringing 2 uniforms, it is really worth it???

2. Will he be over dressed on a semi-formal night in the Dress Blues. (In certain settings and without medals it is equivilent to a suit worn by civilians)

If anyone can shed light on the dressing situation that would be great! And i thought it was hard to pick out my outfits. :rotfl:

PS - My husband is so not stressing over this. I am the one who is putting WAY too much thought into this. He just says "whatever you want me to wear I will bring"

Hey Brooklyn - talked to my husband (ex-Navy) and he said dress blues, in his eyes, are way too dressy, but the Alpha (if they still call it that) are great. My husband, for semi-formal is wearing a blazer with a nice shirt. Whatever makes him comfortable. PJ party they had for the kids and Abby wore hers. It was fun! Also, my husband says that he wears a suit and tie everyday and he is on vacation so the last thing he wants to do is wear a suit and tie. Your husband probably feels the same way.:) Good luck with the passports (you might have written back but I haven't read in a while)

We just got home about 30 min ago and found a box from DVC on our doorstep. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone else, but it looks like they are sending these to people who booked the transatlantic using points.

Anyone else get anything?

No, and I booked using points - I am very excited to think of another package. By the way Ken, looked at the website - great stuff and Rio - CONGRATS from all!

You will all love this - I am ready to SCREAM!!!! The mailman must have jammed my box from DVC into my mailbox and I cannot even open my mailbox but there is a box in there - I can see it, but I cannot open the mailbox. I can't stand it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

CAST LIST IS OUT! Rio did not get the part of Kurt (didn't think he would--he is too new at this and he looks too young for the part) but he IS in the children's choir (they had a huge turnout and there were almost 40 kids who got no parts at all). He is soooooooo excited:cool1: First rehersal is Tuesday.

Tell Rio congratulations from us. :goodvibes That is so exciting!
