THANKS! At least I figured out the side pix so now to conquer the regular one.

Hi everyone,
i started reading this thread but gave up after only 40 pages...
we are not yet booked on the cruise but i really really really want to go on it.
the problem would be my far more sensible than i DH who says things like we are planning a big holiday for next year and should not do so this year as well... etc.
so anyway i am working on the best way to convince him...
now i have a couple of questions...
has anyone done an atlantic crossing before - what was the weather like? do we still need our much loved veranda or should i propose we save money and go for the porthole? as our DD will still be two for this one it makes it cheaper then the christmas 2008 cruise i was origianlly aiming for...
and we love days at sea - in fact our last two 7days westerns we both wished there had been more of them.
anyway any suggestions and info to help convince him would be appreciated.

thanks
:)michelle

The DCL web page is going crazy - our rates for our cruise have gone up and down this morning. They are now back where they were.

Cat 6 has gone up too.

Still debating about excursions-wish they had one to Morrocco.

Put us on the list for the next "14" at brunch please.

How does one go about booking a table for 14?

Hi Michelle!

I personally have not taken a transatlantic cruise, but from research the waters are not quite as calm as the Carribbean, but the time of year that we are going, it should not be too bad.

The prices have been going up and down. The verandah is a personal choice. I always got a verandah room, but for this trip I was fortunate to get a "secret porthole room" so at least I can still see outside. The ports for this cruise are very different and will be the first time Disney will be there! And trust me it is a blast! On the Inagural Panama Canal cruise we were the first in all the ports and it was exciting.

I hope you join us!

Debbie

Well, it appears that Disney did not appreciate my graphic. They contacted Cafepress and forced them to remove the graphic. I tried contacting Disney and they wouldn't actually tell me what part of the graphic they find objectionable.

So, I am in the process of revising the graphic to remove any possible objectionable item I can think off. I will let you know when the new t-shirts are ready.

I can't post pics either....there is a button on my screen when I'm writing posts to attach a picture, but when I click it, it doesn't work....I have always assumed it was because I work on a Macintosh/Apple laptop:confused3

I knew I should have saved that pic from the website.

Thanks Ken for all your hard work. I know what ever you come up with will be great. I know we really enjoyed the lanyards on the 14 and 11 day cruises. :thumbsup2

I thought the shirts looked great. I'm sure the new ones will too. Thanks for all your hard work!

Ken,

Your designs were obviously too good. I can't believe Big Brother is watching.

We've decided to fly into MCO on Friday 11 May and stay at the Hyatt at the airport. We're going to drop our Disney transfers to the port and hire a private van right from the hotel. I got a $114 government rate at the Hyatt and the van is only $30 more than what the DCL bus would have cost us. Has anyone had any experience with Florida Tours (limo/van service)? We plan to arrive at the port by 11am.

I've never been able to post pics either! :confused3

Man Erik, you are looking good on the excursions. I may send DH with you on the kayak. He tried to do the kayak on the Mexico cruise and first missed it because of the time change that he didn't realize happened:confused3 Then tried again on our second cruise and it was cancelled due to windy weather.

I haven't even had a chance to go through all the excursions yet - one more thing on my list of todo's! I've been hearing about the chocolate place in Barcelona and since I'm officially a chocoholic I can hear it calling my name!!!:mickeybar

I guess it is back to the drawing board Ken.....;)

We are narrowing down the excursions. And I realized tonight that I will be out of town on Feb 11 when you can make the reservations. I do remember that it is at some ungodly hour that it has to be done. What time is that? And actually, I will be with friends that we don't wind down until an ungodly hour, so it may work!

Debbie

Erik,

Great picks for shore excursions.

We'll be joining you at the horse show in Cadiz. We're also going to book the Stingray adventure at Castaway Cay. We're going to do the "City Under Siege" tour in Gibraltar. In Barcelona we're looking at the "Flamenco and Tapas at the Spanish Village" and/or "Discover Barcelona and the Spanish Village". We'll be in Barcelona for 2 full days with the b2b so I'll probably try to book one excursion each day. I'm still not sure what we're going to do in Tenerife, maybe a beach excursion if it's not too chilly. I'm interested in learning more about the beach that's close to the port. We're also going to book the Spa Villa for 2 Couples Choice. I'm interested to see actual times for these excursions especially in Barcelona.

At an ungodly hour? I was just going to do it in the morning when I get up on the 11th....do you think that demand will be so high that I should try to get on at midnight so we don't get sold out?

OOH yes we're very curious about those Spa villas on the ship. We might try to do one together and one each separately. Has anyone been in the villas before? I saw on the DCL site that the villas are on both ships now but last tiem we were on the Wonder they hadn't yet been made I don't think. If you go and take the tour of the spa at the beginning of the cruise do they let you go in and see what they're like? I looked on teh DCL website and couldn't really find any pictures of the villas.
