What I want to know is if the Med cruise is loaded yet :rotfl2: How will we know where we are!!!:rotfl:

Debbie

My sister-in-law was visiting with us from PA this past week a couple days wiht my niece (she's 9 years old) and we went to the newly (re-)opened "Strong National Museum of Play"......one of the exhibits there for kids includes a GIGANTIC map of the world and we were able to map out our whole cruise....it was quite fun! We were also able to find on a map (or rather she was able to show US) where her father, my brother, is currently stationed in the Middle East (with the US Air Force)....AND where they're going to be moving in April (my brother returns from the Middle East in a couple weeks and then they are moving as a family to Germany on a NEW set of orders)!

Hope all had a great New Year's Day and that you're all more ready to go back to work on Tuesday than I am!! (WHEN will it be May?!?!?!)

But of course, a whole different GPS for that trip. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

YAY!!!!!  I finally got it to work!!! I think the computer just needed a good nights sleep!

So the webpage is updated with our new cruisers as well as those who have left us :( If there are any other changes please let me know.

Now that I got everything working better, and I may have some time that I can add more things to it. So if there is something that you would like, please let me know and I will add it. I am not a web page designer by any means, but I try.

In the interest of full disclosure (hehehe :rotfl2: ) I should advise you that....while we are loathe to admit we are aging.....both Jason and I have passed a birthday since we joined the list....so I am now 32 and he is now 26! :)

Happy New Year everyone!

I wouldn't mind doing a brunch during one of the sea days for 14 of us? I have a contact at DCL I can contact if anyone is interested.

Not sure if we could get the private dining room in Palo's at night with all the "special" holds they do i.e. the captain, Tom McAlpin (if he is on), entertainment, and so on!

PM me if you are interested in brunch and I'll take the first 12 (Robert and I will be 13 and 14) and ask for a 10 a.m. brunch on how about May 17 or so?

Sounds great Linda,

Please count Ted and me in.

Disneynut1955 (David) offered to arrange a dinner in the private dining room at Palo for us. He has clout with DCL and should be able to set this up. He and his wife Monica are sailing on both the repo and the 1st Med.

Would Love to do dinner on the first med!!
I know it is the repo thread!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Okay, well that didn't take long.

Got a full group of 14 for Palo's for brunch.

Here's who I have listed:

Littleowensmommy (2)
gydell (2)
epcotkilterfan (2)
seaulater (2)
firsttimers (2)
kpros (2)
ScottH (2)

If anyone changes their other mind, let me know. For those that didn't get in on the original 14, don't worry too much. As soon as I find out what sea day we get I'll post and then what you do is make a reservation for the same time and day and then we will ask Palo's to sit you right outside the private dining room so we are close in proximity.

Okay, that's the latest!

Headed to the gym now.

Hope everyone had a great New Years.
It was good here, except still no snow.

...
Bob surprised that you did not have the Buffett Box set.

Somehow it just never was on my "get" list.
It does have some songs that I did not have.
And some versions I had not heard for a while.

Now I just need to come up with appropriate songs for this cruise.
So far I have...
Far Side of the World (Buffett)
Never Been to Spain (Three Dog Night)

needs work. Any suggestions?

Man, I'm away from my computer for a few hours to drive to Santa Barbara and the whole table is full already and Erik and Jason aged a year!:rotfl2:

OK I want to be on the next list for brunch Jonathan and Kelly 2!!!!

PS: Debbie, I somehow accidentally wrote my husband and daughter's 5/07 projected ages and left mine as what it was when we signed up for the cruise, Freudian slip... so I'll be 45 when the ship leaves Florida! :scared1:

Tell me about it with the super fast signing up for brunch!! Fine...while you're all eating I'm gonna get a massage then! :rotfl2:

Jason and I will have to make our own brunch arrangements if we decide we wanna do that, then.

We made what we think are going to be our final excursion decisions today.....and considering my admitted obsession with all creatures non-human, I'm sure there won't be many surprises! We decided to do all Disney excursions since we can financially afford to and it just makes the planning and logistics so much easier. I think here's what we're going to do:

1.) In Castaway we're going to do the walking and kayak tour. We usually get cabana massages first thing in the morning at Castaway Cay and always see the kayak tour group walking back past the cabanas to do their excursion...and we've always wanted to do it. We decided since there'll be plenty of time on the boat to get massages and since we've done the cabanas several times that we'd rather do the kayak tour this time. We're also signing up for the "Extreme Getaway Package" which includes a bike, float rental, snorkeling gear, and the stingrays---we usually get the 3 in one package but as I said in an earlier post we've wanted to do stingrays at Castaway AND in Nassau and have THREE times had the excursion cancelled due to weather or other problems....so we decided to take full advantage this time.

2.) In Tenerife we're going to do Loro Parque (big shock!)...."the largest collection of parrots in the world"...? UM SIGN ME UP!!!!

3.) In Cadiz we decided to do the Horse Show. It was a toss-up between that and the honeybee farm which sounded really interesting, too....but we figured that if we wanted to visit a honey farm we could probably find one in the states to visit....but the chance to see the Royal Andalusian horses IN Spain is probably not something we'll soon have again.

4.) In Gibraltar we're doing "Gibraltar Walking Tour" because we don't mind getting a little workout and it has all 4 of the things I was most interested in doing: The Cable Car, the Apes, the Tunnels, and St. Michael's Cave.

5.) In Barcelona we're going to do the Aquarium (again...no big shock....I'll go to a zoo or aquarium or wildlife preserve/safari anywhere!!!) and Park Guell----we also liked that one because it starts early in the morning and lasts only half a day so we'll be done around lunch time and if we decide we want to explore Barcelona a bit more on our own we'll have the time and freedom to do so (because we read there IS a pretty good Zoo in the city in ADDITION to the aquarium! hehehe) (If we can't get in the aquarium excursion then we're going to do my SECOND favorite thing after animal-life.....CHOCOLATE!!!! )

So I have all those excursions "wish listed" on the DCL website for our cruise....and first thing in the morning on Feb. 11th I'm going to get up and officially reserve! :)

Has everyone else made their decisions?

Erik

Hi Erik

Good choices on the excursions. I think Shari and I will also be doing Disney excursions in most of the ports. We are still working on making our selections.

Ken

:confused3 Just trying to put a pix on my new computer!:confused3

I can't post pics either....there is a button on my screen when I'm writing posts to attach a picture, but when I click it, it doesn't work....I have always assumed it was because I work on a Macintosh/Apple laptop:confused3
