Ok!! NO one change or add rooms!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I have updated the roster and the deck plans. WHEW!!

Please take a look at your listing and make sure I have your correct room number, people in the room, etc.

E-mail or PM me the change is best, or if you are not able to, just post and I will take care of it.

I am not real happy with how the deck plan maps have turned out, so if there is a Photoshop Elements guru out there that would like to give it a shot or help me figure out a better way please let me know!

If I feel like it later, I will look at how many DIS'rs there are per deck :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Debbie

oh c,mon debbie....blame DCL not us!!!!!! and just think alot of us are hoping we will change again!!!! :lmao:

Wow, Debbie. that looks great!!! And my age has stayed the same for over a year - wow, I feel good. It's not that important but I'm 45 now - I accidentally lied when I posted all of our ages (but I seem to have only made the slip on my age:rotfl: )

KathyonA1A: you are our neighbors (for now) if we are still there, we are quiet!

Tigrrtum & DzneLin: are you guys still reading this thread? you live 10 min. from us.

This is a rough number, many of our friends have not posted their room numbers.

Here it goes! The winner is...... Deck 2!

Deck 2 - 19 cabins
Deck 5 - 4 cabins
Deck 6 - 12 cabins
Deck 7 - 9 cabins
Deck 8 - 15 cabins

Those of us on Deck 5 are few... but we stick together!

Debbie

Looks great Deb!

Notice not one of our cruisers is on deck 1. Makes me think that DCL will not assign these out until last minute if they need them, which I doubt they will at this point!

but deck 8 comes in a close second.....so my assertion that we're gonna be the party deck stands! heheheh

We're DVR'ing travel channel all day. Right now the animal kingdom lodge show is on so we're watching it. I'm also taping anything about AKL and about the theme parks to send to my mother for our trip! The last time my parents were at Disney was in 1983 when I was 9years old....so Epcot had JUST opened the year prior and my mother is somewhat flabbergasted at how the World has grown over the years!!!

:tigger:

Dear Deb, the chart looks great! But I am very sorry, our stateroom is 7138 since they found us an accessible cabin. I thought I told you this already! Mea culpa!:sad1:

One busy weekend, and about $650 later, I have most of our cruise shopping done. DH still needs new tennis shoes, a pair of dress pants and one or two pairs of shorts. I still want to find a cute cardigan, and I need some makeup because I never wear any. And we need some new luggage.

This is just for fun! Please answer the questions based on any or all of the Disney cruises you've sailed.

1. Which restaurant is your favorite? Why?
2. Which dessert is your favorite?

We have done one cruise, a 3 day, in 2003, and honestly I can't remember the food. I remember my empty water glasses  . I didn't take any pictures of food either, so I'm guessing the food was not the "fun" part of the cruise, and

3. What's your favorite onboard activity?

Well, not much time to do stuff onboard on a 3-day, so I will have to say the movie theater. I saw Lilo & Stitch for the 6th time and we saw a movie preview. I expect to see a bunch of movies this time, because I have been purposely avoiding Disney movies at home so I could watch them on the ship.

4. What's your favorite port? (not Castaway Cay!;) )

Castaway Cay! Nassau was our only other stop on our Disney cruise, and I wouldn't call it a favorite. Non-Disney cruises, we really enjoyed the stop in Grand Cayman.

5. What's been your favorite excursion?

Haven't taken a Disney excursion, we are more "do it your self" kind of people. Non-Disney, we did an excursion in Ocho Rios because we were a little more worried about safety. Half was a stop at a banana plantation, which was interesting, the other half was climbing a waterfall, which was awesome!

6. What is the BEST thing about Castaway Cay?

Well, we didn't have the best time at Castaway Cay on our trip. We were there in February, and a cold February at that. We are used to the cold water of the Northern Pacific, so DH and I managed some wading, but it was too cold to go snorkeling. And to make matters worse, the day we were there was the day the Columbia space shuttle was lost. DH and I are space nuts (our degrees are essentially, "rocket science" so it really ruined the mood. We went back to the ship early, to see the coverage on the TV. I haven't answered the question yet, I will say the food. I remember thinking it was the best food on the trip.

7. What category room did you stay in? Would you stay in this category again?

Now, here is where we are spoiled. My Mom is a CM, so our cruise was "space available." On 3-day cruises, most people book the cheaper cabins, so the empty cabins are the more expensive ones. So we stayed in a category 5. Our non-Disney cruises, were on RCCL, the OLD ships (Nordic Prince was our first). Inside tiny box cabins, and then we went to huge room, separate couch area, veranda...heaven. We ended up splurging for a cat 5 on this trip too, because we'll be at sea so long.

8. Have you ever been upgraded?

Like I said above, we didn't know what cabin we would be in. We paid a cheap price, and got a cat 5, so that counts as an upgrade to me.

9. What's your favorite live show onboard?

We only saw the Hercules show and the Dreams show, and of those two, I preferred Hercules, the Musical. The singers were really great, and the Disney Dreams seemed a little too schmaltzy even by Disney standards.

10. What's the absolute BEST thing about a DISNEY cruise? Something that makes DISNEY stand out from the rest, even if you have nothing to compare it to!

The character connections. Honestly, the food and service was better on our RCCL cruises than Disney's. I don't know if that was because we were on the CM rate, tips were guaranteed, and so they concentrated on other tables. I don't know if just worked out that way, but on our RCCL cruises we ended up interacting with the cruise directors more too, while on Disney we felt like we were more in the background because we didn't have a 7 year old pixie or pirate (we are childless). But that seems to fade away while you are walking down a hallway and Chip& Dale pop out, or Goofy on a beach path. That is something that the other cruise lines will never have.

Debbie - taxtracker is room 2644. The chart looks great!

Thanks

Oh it is ok :) Glad to hear they were able to find you an accessible cabin!

(But that means Deck 8 loses a cabin  )

Debbie

Debbie,
The new chart looks great. Thanks for spending your weekend helping to keep us all connected.

I got most of my shopping done in the last few weeks. I still need little things like glow in the dark necklaces and new socks for the DGS. Has anyone heard if we are having a tropical night? Still waiting for one of you intelligent people to let me know what happens if you get to the port before 10. Can you be dropped off at the terminal or do you have to wait in the car for the gate to open?

Debbie - I bet you are hoping that DCL doesn't do any more upgrades!

Tigrrtum & DzneLin: are you guys still reading this thread? you live 10 min. from us.[/QUOTE]

milestogo

We still read and are very excited about the upcoming cruise. Tigrrtum posts more than I do. Are you still planning a meet on 4/12? If it is in the evening, we may be able stop. Otherwise, I look forward to meeting you on the ship in just what's becoming a few short weeks!

DzneLin

Ok, I think all of my pre-cruise shopping is done. New socks, sunscreen, make-up, razors, and all the travel sizes of lotions and such. Order from Coldwater Creek arrived yesterday so I think I am good to go on clothes. Broke in the new shoes at a wedding yesterday, so I have a tan (ok maybe a slight burn) started. Now I just need to lose 50 pounds in 40 days...no problem there...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Totally forgot, we went and saw this today. Really quite good!!! Want to get the soundtrack album. Of course we love Danny Elfman. I admit it, I cried a little at the end...but it was good tears...ahh crud, now I look like a wimp and no one will believe I am such a meanie....

Just checking in...I just spent evening catching up on this thread. Welcome to all of our newcomers! We're crazy busy prepping for our move.

Jason and Kelly, I've got front row floor seats to HSM on Ice for Friday 12 October in San Diego. My kids love the Disney on Ice shows and they love HSM.

I'll check in again soon. We can't wait to meet everyone!

Kathy

Kathy,
I'm glad you checked in--I was wondering how you are doing. So you're packing up the entire house for a move all the way across the country--and we all think packing for the cruise is hard:rotfl:

Hey guys, just saw the updated version of the DCL on Travel channel. That was fun. I noticed that the new ships say DCXL.

I didn't know that Danny Elfman does the music for Meet the Robinsons. I saw Oingo Boingo about 15 times when I was younger - they played every Halloween about 10 min. from here. Love them!!! Love Him!!! Can't wait to see it on the boat.

Kathy, I told DH I was going to call you early this morning to check on you and here it is almost 7pm our time and the whole day flew by me and we frantically try to update our master checklist and travel plans. I'll call you tomorrow!

DzneLin: yes, on the Dismeet. I will confirm with Kathy tomorrow about date and time and post it after our conversation. They are strapped for time, so we'll plan around them. I know a few people are coming including some who have dropped off our list, but are on the PC next year. It will be nice to meet you. Do you have passes to DL?

Made a mistake - Wilderness Lodge is 6:30 not 7:30:confused3 :confused3

I made a fish extender because I had never made one - DH still thinks we are hanging our shoes in the hallway:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I cut one in half and cut off 3 of the pockets - didn't take much room in my suitcase. Plan to have a trivia game on my door - hope you will all play - prize each day of disney candy globe and personalized candygram.

Landshark '' Candygram - Plumber" :lmao: :lmao:
