Scott, see what you started? Now we will have to pitch tents if we want to be first in line!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Note to self, stop by appliance store and get a refrigerator box for night before the cruise:rotfl: :rotfl:

Okay, we're waiting to see Meet the Robinsons on the cruise, but if Danny Elfman did the soundtrack it may have to show up in someone's basket next Sunday. Oingo Boingo is big at our house. Every time we do a science experiment the kids blare "Weird Science" and "Dead Man's Party" is nearly always the lead song when we have family dance nights. And, I just saw on Amazon.com that They Might Be Giants did a cover of "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" for the soundtrack. We love that song and COP. To quote Scott--KEWL.

Yep Bob you can see the ground in Cheyenne, unlike Jackson , Cheyenne is the banana belt to us, Lynn said it was 60 today. Man I miss her….

Same for us with no WY incentive, Michael and Laurie went to the DVC center after the 11 day and bought at the same time we did an addon, we sat in the talk together, and we answered most of their questions.

POC is on the tube, KEWL!!!

Linda, Jamie is one very talented young lady and she should not be so modest…. And you can tell her I said that….

Hasn’t DCL used Deck 1 for crew members on occasion???

Linda do give Tom our best...and do say hi to Captain Henry

Tomorrow is a school day....

I have added a few new children to our group! :thumbsup2

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a "gift giving" for the Children group?

On our Panama Canal Cruise in 2005, we got some little items delivered to our room. The children loved coming back to the room and finding a little surprise. The "surprises" where nothing expensive: small packages of candy, m&m's, eye patch, tatoos, stickers ...

This would be completley voluntary! If we have enough interest I will organize it. If not, that is not a problem either. I will not be offended if you do not want to do this. It was just an idea.

Hi All, Busy weekend and so much activity on the boards! Fun reading everyone's survey answers. :thumbsup2

Debbie, the floor plans look great!! Thank you for all the hard work on that one. Looks like Rob and I have the whole stretch of Deck 7 hall to ourselves, unless some of you get upgraded to our neighbors. :goodvibes

Got more shopping to do over my weekend (Mon-Wed is my "weekend"). Also have Tivo'd all the Travel Channel shows, so I'll have to watch for the new footage! :happytv:

Have a good week all!
Chris

I missed the travel Channel Stuff, Lynn said Tom made the announcement about the new ships.

Now there is a repo I would like to be on if they put them on the West Coast. It will be interesting to see where they put them. Maybe a big ship and a little ship on each coast.

Have a good week.

This was what I was thinking but could the large ship get through the Panamar (cant spell) canal? It might have to be the permenant one over that side and then the Magic/Wonder could be the movable one as I think they might still do some special cruises like the Panamar canal ones even though they wouldn't do repo cruises.

Loved the new DCL show! Pertaining to the gifts could some body explain exactly what is a gift and how often are they given. I don't mean to be a party pooper but - gifts for everyone on the cruise at the sail away party, gifts for secret Mickey, and gifts for all the kids plus things you want to bring for your child. Sounds like alot of money and a whole suitcase! The idea is great but we're talking over 200 gifts! Maybe I am not understanding it correctly. Someone PLEASE explain it too me

I was told that public restrooms are sometimes unisex, and have no seats at all, and sometimes can be just a raised hole in the ground.......but that should be a problem to those of us who have been primitive camping! Think of those outhouses we have used.....and I have used a few cornfields, even! At least we don't have to watch out for cowpies!

Funny you mentioned this. We shop at the same Target and picked up a bunch of those travel things inclunding the toilet paper.:rolleyes1

Lo Someone PLEASE explain it too me

DCL will give us ALL gifts....esp. on this one! Also, some of the people on this board will have gifts for each other, but not all. THIS is STRICTLY voluntary! we didn't do it the firrst time, just being together is the most important thing! party:

Pertaining to Italian toilets: in my earlier post, I MEANT to say they WOULDN"T be a problem for those of us who have done primitive camping.

Also, I have had these plastic toilet seat covers for years, and never have used them, but I guess I'll bring them with me this trip!

Thanks! I contributed for the bracelets and for the landyards which will be given to everyone. Hopefully that will do.

GYdell, It is very nice of you to be on both of those teams. I know we are looknig forward to our lanyards and braceletts. Thank you.

I don't think anyone is expecting gifts from anyone. No one will be shunned for failing to play Santa to the rest of us. It's just something fun to do if someone wants to.

I just don't want to be the only one that is not exchanging and I really don't want DGS or any child to feel left out.

The prices just went down again, at least on Travelocity, for the GTY 12. I called to get the scoop, and they said if Disney did give me the lower price, I would lose the cabin I had been assigned and go back to GTY status. No good for me, since I have a Cat 9, but I was thinking of those who were not thrilled with their cabin assigment. You may be able to get the cheaper price and get another shot at a better cabin! May be worth a try for someone.

Thank you for the information. YES it is another $200 per cabin less now than it was. :) My TA is out of the office until this afternoon, but we should be able to adjust then I assume (fingers crossed).

I bet this is why they released room assignments early--to dissaude some of us allready booked people from rebooking for the lower price (those of you wanting to hang onto your good rooms). Since don't really like what we got, we'll let those go--(won't be a smaller room no matter what).:rolleyes1

Debbie--I'm sorry DCL couldn't leave well enough alone long enough for you to feel you recovered from your weekend spent updateing the list (which looks awesome), but you know we just have to do this (gosh all the price adjustments will almost pay for a WDW trip this fall!).

there's a DVC Alaskan cruise?! HMM......I didn't know that!!

Jason and I REALLY want to do an Alaskan Cruise.....we were hoping that DCL would announce one in the next few years once the ship is on the west coast...or once the two new ships in the fleet are in teh water.

:tigger:

Erik

I did that a few years ago - I felt like I was the youngest person on the ship!! The cruise line is Holland America - not Disney, but the ports are VERY WELL WORTH the trip. Just be sure to do the Canada to US or vise versa - if you go in and out of the same port you loose one port of call, maybe 2!

I did the best of the best tours for each port (except Ketchikan) I highly reccommend those - since you see all the best sights and still have time to wander around. Be sure to eat Salmon at every possibility - I just couldn't get enough of it. It has the feel of butter - and is so sweet! I can't eat the frozen stuff any more. Just isn't the same :sad1:

PM me for more information. I also reccommed when flying in - if you go into Anchorage leave yourself 2 days - there are a few things one HAS to see!

The Alaskan Heritage Center on the north side of the city is amazing, and the Earthquake park is also amazing. If you ski or snowboard - be sure to stop at Aleska (spelling?) resort - there is skiing year round, and the slopes looked awesome (for a non skier).

I could talk for hours on this one...I loved that trip and am going to head back in the future. I was there for 17 days. not nearly enough@!!

NHdisneylover, I really have been praying for you to get a better cabin! I felt so bad for and you were trying so hard to be positive about your cabin assignment, as soon as I heard your cabin could be reassigned, I thought of you! We will keep praying, and I won't feel bad it you get a better upgrade them me, so you better tell us if you do:goodvibes

What a truly nice person you are. All we be good in the end and all of us DISsers are bound to have an awesome cruise. I am so glad you saw the price drop. I checked it a few times this weekend for some friends of my in-laws who will likely book two cabins today, but did not check again this morning. I would have missed it for a while I think. Is it a rainy day down on the cape today too (we are up in the Lakes Region, NH)?
