Cast - myself and DH (MarkRG - who did his reports live from the Magic). Also along were Mark's parents Bob & Susan. This was our 5th DCL cruise - their 3rd.

Our goal - to relax and enjoy! With so many new ports for us we were interested in the experience. Since we have no kids the reports won't cover that. Since this was our 5th cruise we also opted out on all the big shows. I must say though that this was the most wonderful cruise I've ever taken. So on with the show:

Sunday morning got off to a fun start with the character breakfast in Parrot Cay. Mickie, Minnie, Chip and Dale got us in the mood for a fun cruise.

This morning was also the DVC Member meet. Everyone got white DVC hats, those with children got Vero Beach sand pails as well. Everyone got a raffle ticket for a fun game they played. If your number was called and you answered a question correctly you got a gift. Everyone who was called on got their question correct because we all helped. Mark and I didn't win anything, but Kathy (Kangaroodle) who was sitting with us won a DVC beach towel.

Back in our room we saw we were very close to another ship. We were passing the Carnival Pride which was already docked in Key West! A few minutes more and we were docked as well. After months of watching the Magic dock at Key West on the Web Cam it was finally our turn!

While waiting to be cleared we headed up to Topsiders for lunch. They had a great Pasta buffet so we had that.

After lunch we headed into town. I had purchased the trolley tour on their web site so we checked in at the ticket booth, got our tickets and boarded a trolley. Our plan was stay on until stop 8 which was the Southermost point. I had always wanted to see that - cheesey tourist spot I know - what can I say :)

The tour was fun and we found the Southmost Point easily. Wouldn't you know it - that's where we have camera problems. Next stop is the Butterfly Conservatory. While waiting in line I check the camera (batteries had gone dead) and found out we didn't get the picture :( The butterflies are wonderful - so many varities! We spent about 20 minutes there and then headed back to the Southernmost point for another picture :)

Next stop was the Hemmingway House. Fascinating and my in-laws loved seeing all the cats.

We start heading back up Duval street doing some shopping. Our next stop was a grocery store recommended by Shirley to pick up some pop and bottled water. Headed back to the ship to drop those off, another trip out to shop some more and go to the Key West Aquarium. Very small, but quite nice.

Dinner tonight was in Parrot Cay. Quite fitting with the Key West day. After dinner we headed up to watch the world famous Key West sunset. On deck 10 we got some deck chairs and sat back to relax. I had seen many sunsets - some at sea - but nothing prepared me for this. It was perfect! A big ball of fire that melted into the sea and twinkled at the end. I didn't believe everything I read about a Key West sunset, but I did after seeing it. Awesome!

After that we spent a quiet night in the room watching Survivor and remembering a wonderful day!
