Kicky Chairs

When I was a kid and young teen I wanted the wicker “Morticia Addams” chair. (Top center)



We had a Director’s chair like middle left. I brought it to my college dorm one year. And I had that tri-fold sun lounger like on the lower right.

That multi color dinette kooks pretty kicky.

back in 1990 i bought an inexpensive wicker chair at pier one imports. dh (boyfriend at the time) said 'the thing' would never last-it lasted (well used) through multiple apartments, 3 homes and now sits in our garage showing minimal wear. it continues to get almost daily use. wicker can be amazingly durable.

the little 'bistro diner' set looks like one we had on our deck for ages. the table base and body of the chairs were made of cast-iron. the table top was some kind of ceramic which cracked after several years. got rid of the chairs and almost tossed the table but I was in a second hand store while on vacation and found someone's labor of love-an mdf table top with hundreds of hand cut comicbook illustrations all carefully placed and decoupaged. bought it on a hunch it might fit-it did so the bistro table got moved to dh's home office where it sits with all the other comic book related stuff.

That looks really cool, I would love to have one of those! We DO have a couple of those lounge chairs (bottom right) in the garage somewhere.

I still have a Morticia chair upstairs in the storage room. They were called peacock chairs when I bought mine.

That dinette set is fantastic. I bought my best friend a chair like that for Christmas it was soon the cat and clothes I don't know where to put chair

I recall we had a number of rattan wicker chairs (not as big as the one illustrated above) when I was a kid. Seemed like there was always a broken strip or two sticking out somewhere on them.

We had one like the upper right when I was little. Took it with me to college... don't know what ever happened to it after that.

I too had a director’s chair, and used it in my college dorm. My grandparents had a few of those loungers in their backyard by the pool. As small kids, my sister and I would fold both ends up into a triangle to make a “tent”. We liked to put two of them together, sit inside and play cards or clapping games.

My grandma had one of those when i was little
