Me too! I LOVE the beach, DH hates it! I LOVE snorkeling, DH has a hard time with it! We compromise. He'll swim and I'll snorkel. He can snorkel better off the beach than off a boat, so we try to mix it up with boat and beach.

DH manages to drink a bunch of the ocean. He LOVED snorkeling with the turtles in Barbados though and reluctantly agreed to do the Sea Lion swim!

ok, now I am stuffed.
We did a gift exchange and the hottest gift was two star bowls from Pottery Barn. They must have been stolen 30 times during the exchange!

DH had a swap at work and got a wood tray with flower tiles. I scrapbook and do crafts so I might alter it and make it match our house. Some modge podge and scrapbook papers. I want to make it Ariel!

we'll probably just hang out on CC and maybe rent bikes. We did the eco tour last time and also rented bikes.

Hmmm.......I saw him drinking wine at the Christmas party, so I could ask around and find out what he likes. Maybe a bottle of his favorite wine with some sort of goodies to go with it. Problem is that I can't give him anything at work because we're told not to do that. And I'd feel strange taking it to his house. I'll have to give it some thought. I've never had a boss do the nice things he does, so this is new territory for me.

That's a great idea.....you could just leave it in his car or something with a little note. If he locks his car, you could leave it in a desk drawer or a coat closet in his office. Be creative! I'm sure he'll be touched!

One more thought to add to our crazy week. Did I tell my my 14 year old Annie atarted working at Chick-Fil-A? We went to the high school and got her a work permit. She has worked 3 nights and LOVES her job!!! All of her friends think she is so cool to have a job!!

I bet she loves the job...I didn't know you could work at 14 I remember I got my first job at 15...there weren't many places that would hire you that young...my DB started at 14 as a bag boy at Publix (FL) Hope she continues to love it

I'm off to bed. I'll be dreaming of that Christmas bonus I should be getting tomorrow! Plus, last year my boss slipped me a big extra check on the sly, from his personal checking account, tucked inside a Christmas card, because he didn't want anybody else to know. To keep things fair, all 3 partners decide on an amount that they give all the secretaries, but he didn't think that was a fair amount and wanted to supplement it. It almost doubled my bonus! I was speechless and actually teared up! I almost hugged him, but knew he'd be uncomfortable with that. Because of what he did, I really want to think of something special to do for him. Although he can be very difficult to work for because of his age, he really is a sweet old man who always seems to take the time to ask about things in my life, and he lets me sit at my desk and study at work, no matter how much work needs to be done, and is very sweet to Tyler when I bring him in to visit.

That is so nice to have a boss like that...hope its a good Christmas bonus you could put towards this trip

Were you there....I was too....we did the same excursion....were you on the 10 night or the 11 night? We did the 11 night. That was my favorite day of all time....ever! Better than my wedding day! No stress! I LOVED the turtles and would go back in a heartbeat if they ever repeat that cruise. It was my favorite cruise so far.

Soooooo funny that your DH drinks a bunch of ocean water.....funny to hear, not funny for him. I think my DH could relate!

We just got off the Magic (well two weeks ago) and we had rebooked a "dummy" reservation, just waiting to transfer to this cruise once it opened up.

We have two rooms on guarantee and I will be working hard to get connecting rooms (of any category).

I have 2600 (!!!) pages to catch up on. Hope to "meet" everyone and join the fun.

I went out for pizza and a beer with my friend. Well, I had a beer, he always has lots and lots and lots of beers. I discovered a new kind of beer that I LOVE now....it's called Sunny Wheat and tastes like BLUEBERRIES! Very strange, but VERY yummy!

Kathe, I'm sorry I mixed you up with someone else who is staying at the Radisson and coming to Grills with us. I completely forget who asked us about it. Lisa G.....help me out here. Do you remember a while back when someone else asked about going with us? Who was it? It was someone who lived somewhere where you used to live....not PA. I believe she was also travelling alone. Maybe we should do that four letter word and make a list since there's close to 20 of us going now....I'm starting to forget everyone.

We book our excursions through Disney. We are terrified of being late or getting a dud!

Cabo- Canyon Canopy Adventure

DH does not really like beaches and is allergic to the sun. He also had a terrible time snorkeling but I LOVE it. I will do that on CC and he will watch.

If we do any excursions we always go thru DCL to. We're the opposite DH loves to snorkel I lay in a chair under an umbrella reading all day.

Well I was up I think every hour through the night....stuffy, coughing...etc. There was no Nyquil in the house. That will be remedied tonight.
There hasn't been that many pages to catch up on in a while....you guys were chatty last night.

I am surprised at how many people dislike the beach. I love the toes in the sand feeling and listening to the waves crash on the shore.

Is anyone doing the REAS package?

Also is anyone prepaying tips? How does this work...do they give you slips to put in the envelopes on tip night?

I wish they were doing REAS too.

Months ago I read a thread about Puerta Vallarta I think. I believe there is a Walmart there within walking distance. Also a hotel nearby you can go to. Must be in my notes somewhere.

We'll be there but first we'll see Walk Hard and Charlie Wilson's War, then Sweeny Todd followed by National Treasure and PS I Love You.

We love this time of year as so many good movies come out!!
