Two minutes left in the fourth Texans 31 Broncos 13! Finally, a game that I watched that ends the way I want it to!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Ugh, I'm waiting for news from my friend who's been in labor all day. Her water broke around 4:30 this morning!
She was overdue, wasn't she? I remember you mentioning about a week ago that since you hadn't heard from her all day you were hoping that meant she was having the baby.

Oh I forgot, I also got a tink calendar 08 and two tink note pads in the Disney Art store. I love that place!

Boy, this thread moves fast! It great that you know each other so well just by posting. Hopefully I 'll get to know all of you as well.
Marilyn- Welcome home! You will love owning DVC, We feel it's one of the best investments we have made. We own at SSR and will be staying there in 10 days for the first time. We love BWV and BCV as well. Lucy and I are also travelling by ourselves on this cruise. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on this cruise. Our boys are older so they can pretty much take care of themselves so we're travelling without them for the first time. My sods have been to WDW over 50 times since they were born, so I think it's finally our time alone.
Deb- Remember, you have friends going to WDW shortly. If there is anything (like Tink jewelry) you want us to pick up, let us know. We'll be happy to get it.
Lisa- Thoughts and prayers for you and your FIL for a speedy recovery.
Bob
Yup, we're quick here! Movers & shakers! Don't blink or you might miss something! :lmao: Big chatters, but always fun to read it all. :thumbsup2

We'll see. I'm supposed to meet with a client on Sunday afternoon in NYC, though if the weather is awful I might put it off. Olivia also has her swim lessons on Sunday mornings.
The bad thing about Long Island is that we get a lot more ice and a lot less actual snow because of the humidity and everything. Last year I don't think we got any good snow without ice!

Times have changed....as a kid growing up in Suffolk county we got tons of snow....we never had ice storms.

No change in DFIL. The artifical heart is still keeping him alive and the venilator is still breathing for him. He looks terrible. His eyes are black, like he has two black eyes from being in a fight. His entire body is swollen, his hands are just huge. His color is terrible.

I stayed with him for about a half an hour. He has a private nurse. She said the best thing we can do from him right now is to leave him alone to get better.

Visits are only for very short times and no one but us can come into the CVICCCU (Cardio Vascular Intesive Critical Cardiac Care Unit). Two of Frank's friends are Philipinno and they snuck into the unit...can you imagine? The nurse told me she escoted them out and told them not to come back.

The nurse said where last night he was not stable at all....now he is much more stable. He is "critically Ill" but "stable".

We were on the West Coast Mexico cruise in 2005 and in Puerto Vallarta we did the "beach break" (I think that's what it is called, they are offering it again). It was at a beautiful hotel on the beach and you had access to not only beach chairs and hammocks, but could use their incredible pool. It had two alligator stone water slides, and Mayan pyramid you could climb, and an underwater "cave". It was great.
In Cabo we did the Harbor Cruise and Scenic Drive. You went by catamaran out to Los Arcos and down the shoreline to see the seals. Then you came back and went up the mountaintop to a restaurant for an incredible view. They then drop you off near Cabo Wabo and it's a short walk back to the ship. Both were great tours.

Sorry to hear your father-in-law looks so terrible, but despite his looks it's good news that the nurse says he's now stable. :grouphug:

That's good news Lisa. He still has a long way to go, but at least he's moving in the right direction. Now get some rest yourself. I know all to well how draining this is for you and your family. Will continue to send positive thoughts and Christmas miracle prayers for all of you.

Good night. I am getting up at 5am to take Vanessa to an Exchange Field Trip to NY. (just need to drop her about 1 hour from our house) It was so funny because I told her I needed to check my e-mail to make sure the trip was not cancelled. She was like "why in the world would it be cancelled" and I said "It is snowing like crazy in NY" ... she laughed (being from Norway) ..... she has never heard of anything being cancelled becasue of snow!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Vanessa is leaving and Daniel is home from school!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

One Semester down!! He thinks he got 1 - A, 3 - B's, and 1 - C. Not bad for his first semester!! He just loves college!!

Yeah, it's my night to cook:lmao:

Tonight is the school fundraiser night at CiCi's Pizza!:rotfl2:
We went to chick filet for a school fundraiser tonight too after we went to Target to buy presents with my DK for a needy family. My DS class adopts a family and the kids donate items for them for Christmas. It was great because they have a son my DS age and girl my DD age so I had them pick out items for them. It was sad because they just asked for basic items like socks, underwear, shoes, warm clothes.... but we tried to work with their needs so for the girl we got Dora underwear to make it fun and cute clothes and socks, books, etc... It was a lot of fun....I'm going to wait until closer to the delivery date and see what else is still needed that's not filled and maybe I'll get some more later:thumbsup2

ok, now I am stuffed.
We did a gift exchange and the hottest gift was two star bowls from Pottery Barn. They must have been stolen 30 times during the exchange!
I take it it was a white elephant exchange...I love those they are so fun and funny if you know the group well enough and put some gag gifts in there:lmao:
Yay! I was looking at a couple of the Wonder January cruises.. they have great deals going right now. If only I didn't get hit with the airfare to FL, I'd be thinking about booking too.
.
that's what gets us is the airfare and we like to travel direct which limits our choices and could cost more:sad2:
Kathe, I'd recommend parasailing at CC. It's GREAT to be up there looking down at the Magic and our favorite island. Also...if there is any reason they have to cancel it (high winds for example), you can still try and add it on in a later port. :thumbsup2

....back to lunch time catch up...
It sounds like you had fun:goodvibes Let Peg know she'll be missed on the PC cruise

OH MY GOSH, I'm not sure how you're going to manage all that while sick. Try to take care of yourself through these busy times!
I'm sure you've been there when you have kids and resposibities you manage even if its just going through the motions...I'm sure you've realized now that Tyler is in school things get busier with activities, playdates, school functions, etc...I feel like a taxi driver most of the time.

Nope. My employer doesn't offer holiday pay for part-timers. No sick pay, no paid vacation, no holiday pay, no benefits at all. Just a Christmas bonus which I should receive tomorrow! :woohoo:
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: hope you get a good Christmas bonus though:thumbsup2
]Happy Birthday Amy! I hope it was a good one! :goodvibes
]
Ditto...Happy Birthday Amy:dance3:
[]WOW Leslie! Great news on both counts! How exciting! :yay:
Ditto...congrats:thumbsup2

Well, I think they'll make some money from me:thumbsup2 Since this is my first cruise and since I'm travelling solo, I think I will be booking at least one excursion at each port, except for CC. I'm not too comfortable booking elsewhere by myself. I know I can't do everything I want to do;) but I do want to swim with the dolphins, experience a zip-line, maybe parasailing and see the divers in Acapulco, and try snorkeling. The hardest decisions are where to try what! Can someone remind me when we can start booking? Do I need to pay in full first, or is it so many days out??

Kathe
you'll have a great time and great memories:love:

thanks Kathe, I hope work will mellow out after the holidays, but I bet not, I jsut need to find a happy place in my mind...castaway cay here I come.
Hang in there....our PC cruise we'll be here before you know it:goodvibes

[
as a matter of fact, I am on Ebay now! Love this place!
Get pff Ebay! I love it too ...so totally understand:goodvibes
has Karen posted in a while? and several that Jackie mentioned haven't posted in ages.....mexican mouseketeers?
I was wondering about them. I was looking forward to mexican mouseketeers because their DD is the same age as our DD and I was hope my DD could practice some spanish.
so who is going to Parrot Cay upon boarding?
We'll probably will be ...I didn't know about Parrot Cay being open last time so we didn't go there.
A great end to the third quarter....Broncos 13 Texans 24! GO TEXANS! I hate the Broncos....they're the arch enemies of the Raiders!

I'm glad its working out so far...I'm more of a college fan but my DBIL likes the Broncos so my DH was watching the game cheering for them...their cousin works for the Broncos ...I think that's why they like them:confused3

One more thought to add to our crazy week. Did I tell my my 14 year old Annie atarted working at Chick-Fil-A? We went to the high school and got her a work permit. She has worked 3 nights and LOVES her job!!! All of her friends think she is so cool to have a job!!

Isn't that funny......:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm off to bed. I'll be dreaming of that Christmas bonus I should be getting tomorrow! :goodvibes Plus, last year my boss slipped me a big extra check on the sly, from his personal checking account, tucked inside a Christmas card, because he didn't want anybody else to know. To keep things fair, all 3 partners decide on an amount that they give all the secretaries, but he didn't think that was a fair amount and wanted to supplement it. It almost doubled my bonus! I was speechless and actually teared up! I almost hugged him, but knew he'd be uncomfortable with that. Because of what he did, I really want to think of something special to do for him. Although he can be very difficult to work for because of his age, he really is a sweet old man who always seems to take the time to ask about things in my life, and he lets me sit at my desk and study at work, no matter how much work needs to be done, and is very sweet to Tyler when I bring him in to visit.

You must think of something special to get him for Christmas, he sounds like such a dear. I used to buy my boss a bottle of champagne and truffles. He and his wife loved them. Maybe you could pick up his favorite snack.

Just an idea.

Hi Bob....no grass growing under our feet!

Thanks for the offer to get the tink jewelry....but I found it online and it has yellow gold on it. I can't wear it. I only do white gold. Thanks for the offer. I'll keep you in mind if I think of anything else.

BTW, I LOVE my Minnie pillow.....she is just the softest. Thank you so much, you guys!

When we get together again at Jack Creek, you'll have to tell me all the specifics about DVC. I just ordered the DVD. I'm thinking about Hawaii.

popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

I am up for sharing this.....anyone else??

I'm totally into that Villa. I'd be happy to share it if we get it.. On our mark get set...GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGGOGOGO.

Again, this is why I'd totally do the REAS, if it let me book early and get the villa I'd be all over it.

I'm going to think of that Villa over the next few weeks of work. It's been misrable, but since I bill clients by the hour, I can well afford the villa :rolleyes1 and I'm totally worth it  :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: okay, so are DH and DKs too.

If it gets booked I wonder if we could find another one online somewhere? :surfweb: I'm going to start to ask around school, some of the kids friends have family in Mexico, we may just have to see if we can find a lead there...

Hmmm.......I saw him drinking wine at the Christmas party, so I could ask around and find out what he likes. Maybe a bottle of his favorite wine with some sort of goodies to go with it. Problem is that I can't give him anything at work because we're told not to do that. And I'd feel strange taking it to his house. I'll have to give it some thought. I've never had a boss do the nice things he does, so this is new territory for me.

You've got to love my typos there are lots of them:scared1:

That's great that you'll have Daniel home...good grades for first semester at college:thumbsup2 All of my roomates(when I was in the dorms) in college flunked out...the first two years there are lots of weed out classes and many choose to party too much:rolleyes1
