Oooooh.....the food at both places looks wonderful! YUMMY!!!!Back for a bit from some errands. Your evening sounds just delightful. We are still doing some organizing around here. Samantha sold some of my books yesterday. She got $60.00 in cash and $343.00 in store credit.
I haven't eaten at Tommy Toy's in years. Last time we were in Chinatown we went to a banquet at the Empress of China. For those of you our there who are not familar with San Francisco, here are both restaurants.

Have a wonderful time!!
With V and Deb busy, I think it will be very quiet today.
Been trying to catch up on posts while I help Holly plot to bring Tyler.
Hubby says there is NO WAY we are cancelling this cruise so Im really happy about that. Bethany is doing much better in school and with therapy so I think it will be fine to take her out. I cannot wait to meet everyone especially Janwho has helped me so much with beth in the past few months getting her diagnosed. She explained to me about dysgraphia and motor skill problems and bethany is now in occupational therapy and progressing well. We her parents and her teachers all just chalked it up to laziness, even though she was a 2 lb preemie who has been healthy and we never thought this could be a problem. The school has been working with us and adapting , which is good for a private school as they really dont have to.
The funny thing is she is a chatterbox like Holly and will be talking and say "this nice lady on the computer figured out what was wrong with me"! LOL Well that really starts a conversation and then I have to explain but tell everyone its unbelieveable the truly nice and caring people you meet on here.
I had never heard of a Carvery. Yummy! Sounds wonderful!John1 too, though I can't remember if he is at DL or WDW.What a lucky guy!!!

Almost bed time here. We are going out for a late lunch tomorrow to a Carvery. Do you know what that is?
They have fresh roast meats and chefs carve from the joints for you there and then, and then you fill your plate with Yorkshire puddings and all types of vegetables. Yummy, my favourite meal I think.
I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and the veggies were carrots, mashed carrots and swede, red cabbage(gorgeous, slow cooked with apple and onion) white cabbage, cauliflower cheese, creamed leeks, green beans, courgettes in tomato sauce, parsnips, roast and new potatoes. Meats that day were beef, pork and lamb. Usually they have a whole turkey, so I did miss that.
Oh, and the desserts were to die for.![]()
Are you forgetting somebody?

Very windy, cold and dark today. I didn't miss much by staying in on the couch all day (except for grocery shopping a little while ago). If it stays the same tomorrow, it will be nice to stay in and make cookies!I think tonight we'll clean the kitchen & bathroom, tomorrow (after church & before my mom comes) we'll do the living room & Tyler's bedroom. Then it's COOKIE TIME! Should be fun! I just bought all the ingredients and Tyler will be so excited to see everything ready for action.
I've been craving Taco Bell all day, but was too lazy to go anywhere, so I'll probably hit the drivethrough on the way home from picking Tyler up. Yummy! Chili cheese nachos bel grande and cinnamon twists will be in my belly soon!![]()
LOL....you can make up for all 3 of them![]()

I hope everyone out here is doing ok.
We have family and friends down there. DS and DDIL just moved from Phoenix to Lancaster. They said the fires are not near them. Happy about that. DrHug's sis lives in Mission Viejo and she said the fires are only 6 miles from them now. She has the cars packed with the stuff she would want to take, just in case. We have friends that live southwest of San Diego up in the hills, brush, etc. We have not been able to get in touch with them. Hopefully, will get an email response tomorrow. They have several horses also, so evacuation for them would be quite a process. We will keep praying for all down there.![]()
We just found out there's 300 acres on fire in DeLuz which is behind our house. There's also a fire out by Pechanga Casino in Temecula, I can see the flames for that one (although it's far enough away that it should not be a threat by any means). The DeLuz fire is making me nervous. Let's hope the wind pushes it towards Camp Pendleton and away from us. There's a ton of open unhabited land at Camp Pendleton. Scary....![]()
Well this is not good...just heard on the news there's a 3,000 acre fire on the grounds of Camp Pendleton near the OC border...if the wind pushes it inland towards us and it joins the DeLuz fire, well,![]()
is all I can say. Not good!
Not so great news today. Tyler's pediatrician called, left me a voice mail telling me she has his EEG results. I was already worried by the Dr. calling me herself. Then she said that phrase of doom: "I don't want to alarm you, BUT....." Anyway, her message told me it's not an emergency, but she really wants to talk to me about the results right away. When I called her back, she told me the report says "abnormal rare frontal activity". She says she's going to set up a referral to the pediatric neurologist and will call me to tell me when the appointment will be.Tyler's dad's first comment was that she'd better refer us to somebody in-network. Then he was angry that she didn't give more details. I kept telling him, she doesn't know any more details because she's not a neurologist. She was just reading what's on the report. It also said something about "potential for seizure activity, further evaluation may be necessary". I don't remember her exact words on that part.
I'm a bit too overwhelmed to try to figure it out right now. Have to call my dad and update him, and then my mom too.
They really do. And I think they're being a bit lenient on him while we get things sorted out because they just don't think he's in control because of how drastically he changes from one kid to another from one day to the next.
We are very worried about you and your family. Please keep us updated!! We are praying that all will go well for you and your family!!

Thank you!Oh Holly, I hope you find out more info soon........please know we are praying for you. Keep us posted.
Nice pirate!
John1, stand on Main Street and look up at the Fire Station. The lamp in the window of Walt's apartment always give me a warm feeling.![]()
Yep, and just run your hand across the 33 at Club 33. Another place that is only at DL and was one of Walt's dreams.![]()
Oh Nan. I am so sorry. That is a very difficult time and I send lots of prayers and pixie dust.Sorry for this sad post, here is the place we come to share, good, bad and ugly. This I'm afraid is the later.
I just got a call from my cousin, Laura, in Redding, her preemie baby granddaughter passed last night. Shalya was a twin. Her sister Sierra is holding strong. She had an infection last week and it looked like they had it under control, but suddenly and ferociously it came back in the night and she passed. She was 2 months old yesterday. The twins were born on my mom's 80th birthday.
Mom(Toni) and Dad(Brian) are strong stock, but nonetheless I'm sure are devastated with this. They also have a son 3 years old at home.
Please keep my extended family in your prayers.
Nan
