I'm watching TIVO- Oprah show on folks dealing with dying. I kept it because of the post that the guy John told us about will be on it. It is quite inspirational so far. I'm cleaning my bedroom as I watch.

Ok....have to really focus on cleaning. The description of our family room is nothing compared to this room! Lisa

I'm watching TIVO- Oprah show on folks dealing with dying. I kept it because of the post that the guy John told us about will be on it. It is quite inspirational so far. I'm cleaning my bedroom as I watch.

Bummer...I really wanted to watch that one but it didn't TIVO because that was the day the fires were really bad here and all the TV coverage was news. I'm glad it was pre-empted, I'm just bummed because it was one of the episodes I really wanted to watch since I watched Randy (I think that was his name) speech that John gave us the link to. Oh well!

I'm busy on the phone with DirecTV. When we needed to get a replacement for one of our DVR, my husband sent them our GOOD TIVO HD DVR receiver that we spent $450+ for! So now we have been trying to get them to send us back our good one. ARGG. Dealing with DirecTV is like dealing with the government or something....it is just insane!

We have a fun evening planned. At our last school auction, we won one of the live auction items along with 5 other couples. We are going to be take a charter bus from the school and head to S.F. Chinatown. There, we will be treated to a private walking tour from a 4th generation Chinese S.F. resident. And then to dinner at Tommy Toys. I'm off to by a couple bottles of wine for the event.

Back for a bit from some errands. Your evening sounds just delightful. We are still doing some organizing around here. Samantha sold some of my books yesterday. She got $60.00 in cash and $343.00 in store credit.

I haven't eaten at Tommy Toy's in years. Last time we were in Chinatown we went to a banquet at the Empress of China. For those of you our there who are not familar with San Francisco, here are both restaurants.

Been trying to catch up on posts while I help Holly plot to bring Tyler.

Hubby says there is NO WAY we are cancelling this cruise so Im really happy about that. Bethany is doing much better in school and with therapy so I think it will be fine to take her out. I cannot wait to meet everyone especially Jan who has helped me so much with beth in the past few months getting her diagnosed.She explained to me about dysgraphia and motor skill problems and bethany is now in occupational therapy and progressing well. We her parents and her teachers all just chalked it up to laziness, even though she was a 2 lb preemie who has been healthy and we never thought this could be a problem.The school has been working with us and adapting , which is good for a private school as they really dont have to.

The funny thing is she is a chatterbox like Holly and will be talking and say "this nice lady on the computer figured out what was wrong with me"! LOL Well that really starts a conversation and then I have to explain but tell everyone its unbelieveable the truly nice and caring people you meet on here.

Almost bed time here. We are going out for a late lunch tomorrow to a Carvery. Do you know what that is?

They have fresh roast meats and chefs carve from the joints for you there and then, and then you fill your plate with Yorkshire puddings and all types of vegetables. Yummy, my favourite meal I think.

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and the veggies were carrots, mashed carrots and swede, red cabbage(gorgeous, slow cooked with apple and onion) white cabbage, cauliflower cheese, creamed leeks, green beans, courgettes in tomato sauce, parsnips, roast and new potatoes. Meats that day were beef, pork and lamb. Usually they have a whole turkey, so I did miss that.

Oh, and the desserts were to die for.
