Oooooh! Yummy! We have a pizza buffet here called CiCi's which we both love. Tyler's favorite is the macaroni & cheese pizza. Absolutely disgusting in my opinion.

Holly - If you go look at the roll call list for this cruise there are several women that are solo. Maybe you know one of them and they are looking for a roomie!

That's the first thing I mentioned to Cindy when she felt horrible about cancelling. I told her I remember there are other's travelling alone and I'd see if somebody'd be interested in sharing a room which would cut their cost too. It WILL work out somehow!

Well, I can book ADR's for our pre cruise stay on the 8th November!!! Now that brings it all closer doesn't it? We arrive at WDW on the 6th May.

Holly, I hope you find a room mate. I know Monica(Mishoe) is solo, and isn't Kathe(Katypop)?

I don't have a problem sharing a room with a guy because there are two beds after all! I'd even let him have the big bed & I'd sleep on the sofa that opens into a bed because he'd probably be more comfortable that way. Hmmmm......it sure would solve my problem! Your idea is more feasible than me trying to take Tyler and doubling my costs, etc. I'll PM you after I get caught up with posts here, but I want to brainstorm a bit first.

The big bed can easily be set up as two twins if you are comfortable with that. I'm more like Marilyn. I'd want to know even a female roomie a bit first. I did a couple of business trips years ago where we were required to share a room (female of course!) and it was uncomfortable for me.

LOVE the photo! I'm sharing it with my sister. She and I LOVED the Donny and Marie show. Watched it every Sunday (I think it was on Sunday??). Thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately, she needs her deposit right away. I don't have $500 to give her, so I'm really, really bummed out. I totally understand her situation, so I'm not upset with her at alll. Just trying to figure out a way to do this. I suppose if I could just come up with $500 to give her deposit to her, I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Will have to give this some thought today. If Tyler's dad would come up with 1/2 of the $1200 we need to pay for Tyler's evaluation on Tuesday, that would be my answer. Then I'd skip taking our November vacation and would take him on this repo cruise in Cindy's place. BUT if I do that, I lose $500 for cancelling the November cruise, but will gain $500. Although losing $500 from that cruise will be a bummer, it just might be my answer.

HOUSEWORK. Such a terrible word. One of the things I love most about cruising is NO housework. Just throw some things in a drawer, organize all the "stuff" (make-up, books, goodies). And then just enjoy. Ahhh...I really need a cruise as I look around at our family room. Costumes are EVERYWHERE, toys, cleats, shin guards, I spy some Doritos, and oh yes, 5 days worth of mail to go throw. CALGON take me away!


So we are celebrating our 15th anniversary in January. We have the St. Regis booked in Aspen - never been there and using up ALL my Starwood points to stay for 5 days (5th day free with 4 days of points!). But the airfare there is just crazy - over $500/per person. So then I'm thinking...maybe we should use our points for a Starwood in Hawaii? Or maybe go to some golf resort? Anyone have ideas? The key thing is I want to use my points to have a free hotel stay. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/ Does anyone have a favorite Starwood hotel or favorite location where there is a Starwood? Love to have some ideas. I have enough points to stay at any location for 5 nights (100,000+ points). We like to ski, don't know how to golf but would love to learn, love to sit on a beach, like plays. Suggestions anyone??

You're not going to believe this! The TA I spoke with went to school with and was friends with Tyler's dad! She comes to town frequently to visit with family who live a couple streets away from me. It's truly a small world!

So the good news is that there's a plan in the works and I'll let you all know how it goes. Things are looking great for Tyler coming! Now.....to get his dad to agree to let him go for so long. I'll e-mail him about it because I don't want Tyler to overhear the conversation and get his hopes up.

Sandi and I are back from our mani/pedis and John went back to sleep....he's not feeling good....he has a tummy bug that just won't quit....he took some meds and went back to bed. I sure hope he's feeling better by tomorrow.

My favorite Starwood hotel in Hawaii for romance and the spa is The Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu.

I think strictly for romance, the Royal Hawaiian won hands down. I have met people who go there once a year for the last 20 years. We were doing less sports or golfing on that trip as we were spending more time in the spa, relaxing and we rend to drive around the island doing the touristy type stuff.

Kauai is very beautiful but when we are there we tend to be more sports active. We will golf more, windsurf (DH) and sea kayak. I spend way less time in my room there or at the spa. First time we went there, Samantha was 6 months old so has a sentimental attachment for us.

I think it depends on what you are planning to do while you are there at either hotel. With either one, you can't go wrong.
