I think the Uk in general is far in front of you with getting the Christmas things out. Not all stores of course, but some had items out in August and the majority will be full by the end of October. It does seem to be earlier every year. Mind you I am Christmas shopping as we go away in 6 weeks and want them just about all bought and cards written.

I have 4 bean bags for four grandchildren(asked for by their mum). A Disney Princess one for one twin, a Groovy Chick butterfly one for the other, a Doctor Who one for one of the boys and a more adult one for the oldest.

I have all my cards bought too.

Although I felt quite lazy earlier, I think I ended up being quite productive after all. A load of laundry is in the dryer, THREE BOXES filled with Tyler's old toys are sitting by the door waiting to be picked up, one person already came and picked up a small bag of his old toys, I have a bag of my own old clothes somebody will be picking up soon, some old kitchen stuff I don't use will be picked up later today too. I might just have time to do dishes before picking up Tyler. :thumbsup2

Mexican sounds great....I have been in such a Mexican mood lately. John liked my chicken enchiladas the other day.

Gene was in a wheel chair so of course I had to use the hand scanner for the check. right after I passed them through and stepped back, Dom grabs Gene by the arm drags him out of the chair and jumps in himself. "my turn" is all he said and Gene starts pushing him down to the boarding gate. The costumer service lady and I just stood there and watched. :dance3: :dance3:

I don;t know why the stores rotate the stock the way they do....I had a helluva time trying to find a tank top for Samantha and could not find one for Haley. All the Christmas stuff is out as well!:confused3

When we were shopping for Vanessa's homecoming dress, she was totally freaked out by all the Christmas stuff that was out. She thought we were totally crazy!! DC warmed up today. Very nice again, my car says it is 74 degrees out. I have a sweater on...and I am hot!!

Mexican sounds great....I have been in such a Mexican mood lately. John liked my chicken enchiladas the other day.

I made chicken enchiladas this week and they were awesome....everyone gobbled them up. I made them for Daniel's homecoming....he loves Mexican. He went bowling with his old friends today, took a nap, watched the VA Tech game with me, and now he is going to get a haircut.

I leave at 5:25 to take Vanessa to her picture taking session pre homecoming!!

Hey Vanessa, (lillygator) do you think it is funny when I talk about my Vanessa? It is not too common a name. Have you had other friends named Vanessa?

Lisa

It took forever to catch up on this thread. My DS had a stomach flu that was going around school it seemed like most if not all of his class got it. He was throwing up all night poor thing but the good thing is that that is why I could catch up on the thread because we couldn't go to all of the soccer games and birthday parties and DH is working all weekend. I was happy he got sick over the weekend and it only lasted one night because that way he doesn't miss any more days of school trying to save them up for this trip:thumbsup2
I've got to get ready for bed, so I hope everybody has a great weekend! We're off to Arkansas at the crack of dawn.
Have a fun time:cheer2:
V, I hope your'e able to get the rest you need this weekend to get better. Sleep is the only thing that will kick that bug! Hope you feel better V:hug:

My main boss is really sick, so congested that I could barely understand him when he was talking today. Awful! (I always get sick a few days after he does, so I'll be doing my best to fight it off). Because of his age, I always worry when he's sick, especially when his wife is out of town like she is now. Although he's difficult to work for, he's a very sweet old man. He asked about Tyler's upcoming appointment and today he told our office manager that she is NOT to penalize me or speak to me about missed time for anything related to all the appointments I'm bound to have for Tyler. Such a sweet old man!
I'm so sorry about everything with Tyler:hug: :grouphug:  Be at peace that you are doing your best and that is great that you are proactive and doing both (testing and counseling) you have all your basis covered. Parenting is not easy and it has its ups and down. That is great that it may be something he cannot control because once its diagnosed with something you could treat it accordingly and he could control it then. You are doing the right thing:thumbsup2 As a mom all you could do is your best and don't worry what other people think your #1 priority is Tyler not your EX or anybody else because in the end you are living with Tyler and have to raise him mostly. You are very blessed to have a boss that cares:goodvibes
John is home now so I think we are going to relax by the pool. It was a gorgeous day in the 80's...no game for the Gators tomorrow....and sadly one of our defensive backs - a walk on 19ys old died in a motorcycle crash last night. His passenger, I am assuming his girlfriend, was also killed. Neither were wearing a helmet. So sad.
How sad :sad2: I had no idea haven't watch too much TV lately. My DB had a friend who died in a motorcycle accident so did the passeger the fiance:sad1:

I am getting Vanessa up at 9am (8:55 am here now) to go here her nails done for tonight. She thinks she wants BRIGHT RED to go with her shimmery silver dress. Her shoes are unbelievable. I could not walk in them (5" spike heels) to save the life of one of my children :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
She's going to have a great time. I would have a hard time wearing those shoes I don't like wearing heels and I'm all about comfort!;)

So I decided that I was going to get on the scale this morning and not wait until Nov 1st....coz I'll be off the cruise and at WDW....don't want to weigh in then. This morning I weighed in 9 less lbs. in almost two weeks. Good! diettogo is working well. Of course, I'll be way off diettogo food while on the cruise and vaca......so here's to starting over when I get back home.

Wow....I have lost 25lbs in 6 weeks. That's a diet I can do!
