Be careful with the downy release. Test it before the cruise, I tried it and was allergic to it. Also on the boat disney gives Meclizine an amazing seasickness pill at guest service for free. Also ginger pills were great!

This is "non-drowsy dramamine" the only thing that I have found that works for me! (And I have tried them all!)

DH and I have been married a little over a year. We have known each other for 8 years. We met in High School. First day of High School my DD (who is a doctor) told me he met the guy I was going to marry and it was Matt. I told him no way he was a dork. Guess what!!!:rotfl2:

OK, I'm really confused with this one... DD??

DH might have his with him but I won't have mine. Cell phone only. On our last cruise I said no internet. He did well or so I thought. Turns out I fell asleep early one night and guess where he was. He sent our families e-mails to tell them we were ok but not to tell me he was on the computer,:yay: .

Can't escape from work, so I will have ours with us...

Karen

Thank you for getting the information for me. I have checked out others, but I think I will go with your recommendation.

I thought we were the only ones not planning on doing any excursions or dinner at Palo's. Nice to know we aren't! We love Palo's brunch!!!

:cheer2: "DITTO" Happy Anniversary Lisa & Mark and Karen & Ted!!!! :cheer2:

Our 12 year anniversary is on Saturday (9/8) and I just found out Jaide's teacher is getting married that day this year! We have been together for 14. Although, when we first met we both thought the other was obnoxious...then a few months later we re-met and the rest is history!
:lmao: :lmao:

Hope both couples had a wonderful day!

Thanks again everyone!!

Hi everyone,
I've been spending all my time these last few days working on things for my class reunion (high school, 40 yrs!) which I'll be leaving for in 9 days. I'm doing centerpeices for the tables, which I still have a little bit to finish up, and a slide show that will be shown at the dinner and later burned on a DVD, along with pictures taken during the weekend. I've been scanning pictures like crazy: our yearbook, plus my own photos from over the years. Also spending time Googling "60s fads", "60s music", etc.:hippie: for pictures to include as well. It's been a lot of fun but has totally consumed me! This morning early, before it got too hot, I had to tear into a corner of boxes and trunks in my garage that hadn't been touched in years because I was determined to find some newspaper clippings and other graduation memorabilia that I KNEW I had kept. SUCCESS! I finally found it, plus a few other gems in one of the trunks, but now my garage is in such disarray that I can't get my car in there! :scared1: Oh well...I guess I'll be parking in the driveway for awhile!

I'm still trying to get my new glasses worked out. Today I went back again, after having the lenses made 3 times and they still weren't right. I gave up on the style I'd wanted--they just weren't going to work with my Rx, (progressives, which I've worn for 15 years) so I chose a different style; they're supposed to be ready by the end of the week. Grrrrr.

Finally, my dear computer is acting a little buggy :sad2: (I've been working it to death with all the scanning and photo editing, etc.) so I had to shut it down early :headache: and tomorrow first thing will be getting some tech support from Apple.

Yadda, yadda, yadda...:dance3: just wanted to touch base with everyone. I try to get on a little bit each day and skim a few pages :surfweb: but I haven't been able to keep up with it all.

Jackie and Peg, I'd still like to get together with you guys (and anyone else who can make it). Would either Mon. the 17 or Tues the 18 work for you for dinner somewhere? I'll be in valley both of those days so let me know--better do it by PM in case I keep falling behind.

 and  to everyone and I'll pop on when I can.:)

Good morning. Lots to catch up on today but hang in there!

Marilyn - I am sure you are asleep now!

I certainly was at that time!!!:)

The fires are still burning. She has spoken with her family and all is fine, for now. She heard of a story of a mom and four kids that they found charred to death, hugging one another. They tried to escape by car but there was an accident and so they got out of the car and tried to escape by foot but the 100 mph winds that were propelling the fire, caught them...and the rest you can surmise what happened. How awful!

Thanks for asking!

Well, we're off to dinner - it's our anniversary too! 14 years!!!! Happy Anniversary Karen and Ted!!!!

There were some awful stories about the fires. Horriffic.

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary.

Happy Anniversary!!!

How long has everybody been married and yes I mean to the same person? I married my HS sweetheart and we've been married for 37 years.

37 years for us too!!!

We will hit the 40 year mark Oct 6. DD, DS and DM are having a "surprise" :lmao: party for us Sept 29. They planned to have it a week early to "throw us off." :rotfl2:

Oh, and we met at Disneyland, love at first sight, married the 9th time we ever laid eyes on each other.

I had heard your story before, but not the bit about getting married the 9th time you laid eyes on each other though. 40 years is some going, and sometimes it is hard to believe we are almost there. I can't be that old.:rotfl:

I was wondering when we can book our excursions and brunch ressies? Can you guys help me out.

This is helpful for determining the actual date.
http://pscalculator.net/pscalc.php

Thinder????

We all noticed that, but you were the only one to comment!!!!:lmao:

Okay, some more firsts. Vanessa had her first pedicure tonight. (That what was I wanted for my birthday...the 4 girls went for a pedicure!) Annie is in the backround. Pedicures are not normal in Norway. We are having fun and when she came home from her first day at school today, I thought of Holly and Tyler. I bet her day was a lot like his!!

Pedicure.jpg

Can I come on an exchange for a year? Looks a fun place to stay.

part of the package is getting to book ressies early.

Ok....who is thinking of doing it...just for that....I am.

We had it last time and I felt so much safer and much more on CONTROL (and we know how nice that is, right OCD team....)

The package isn't the same. We got the massage. I like the robe(s) but DH won't want one..Might have one to sell if anyone wants it let me know.

N

I had heard that it isn't confirmed they will have the REAS for our cruise. Can't understand why as the only extra is the number of days in the Rainforest room, and surely they could just change that part of it. I would get it if it is available.

I think hanging them from the Verandah railing is customary, since the room stewards never go out there . . .:rolleyes1

And I thought they were flags when I have looked at photos.:rotfl2:
Too late . . .:sad2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Holly,

Haven't you heard the saying...

"life is short, eat dessert first!";)

Karen

My motto!:cloud9:

LOVED THIS!!!

It brought back great memories! I am almost certain that I caught a shot of us on one of the decks!;)

I'll never forget looking over the side and seeing less than a foot of clearance!

We had such a fun day...:thumbsup2

Looking forward to going in the other direction with you guys!!:goodvibes

Karen
I keep forgetting you have done this cruise before - well the other way anyway. We can ask you everything.

Lisa,

Small world!! We are just one year behind you!! 9-4-94. Picked an easy date that DH could remember!!:thumbsup2

He was so cute tonight! Really seemed pleased that we'd made it this long!!:cool1:

Karen-my DH was really cute too...he made up a card that had one of our engangement pics on it and wrote very sentimental thoughts, which is VERY unlike him. I guess 14 years really is an accomplishment in this day and age...not sure what got him so mushy!

So we got married on 9-4-93 and my step sister got married on 4-9-94. My dad thanks us regularly because we made it very easy for him to remember when our anniversaries are! :rotfl:

Hope you enjoyed your special day...we enjoyed sharing it with you and Ted!!! :goodvibes

I'm off to bed!

Ted was very sentimental and mushy too! Not like him either! ("Who are you and what did you do with my husband"... came to mind)! :rotfl2:

It was really sweet and unexpected as I didn't think that we were going to really "celebrate" since we went to lunch on Sunday at a kind of expensive place. I guess the spontinaity of the moment caught me unawares!!:rolleyes1

I think he too thought that it is quite an accomplishment.
It really was so sweet and a great anniversary!

It was great sharing it with you as well!!:hippie:

I am afraid that I booked with Dreams Unlimited for Disneyland Package. As we will be staying at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel for three nights with Disneyland Park tickets (2 days) plus one day Universal Studios at Hollywood!! It is fine for our childrens.

I have been in Anaheim about 17 years ago and my cousin's daughter and her family was staying with us for two nights and they left yesterday morning we were emoitional as they are going back home to Australia.

She was looking at Disney Cruise and said wow hope one day Disney Cruise go over to Australia!!

They had been Disneyland in Anaheim before came here and told me that it changed lot as we went there when she was little!!

Well I better stay clean the house and lots of :laundy: as the weather is dull today, look like raining soon?

Have a nice day

Karen

Came back from the gym at lunchtime and no Dis!! :scared1: Come on everyone, lets get posting.:rotfl:

DH and I have been married for 13 years as of Monday Sep 10th. We have been a couple for 19 years! Wow, that seems like a long time.

Walmart has some pirate costumes. 1 for women, 2 for girls, 1 for boys, and 3 for men! One of the girls is the cutest I have seen! Still no Disney luggage tags.

ok from now on, if I post that I am on Ebay, you guys have to get me off of there! I am spending money I don't have on Disney related junk!!! Luckily I can't access from work or I'd be in big trouble!

DH, just called me, he is having a rough day. Someone cut the line or lift - something that relates to unloading the truck which has created major problems. John is not one to complain or get upset and boy he's pretty hot right now. I asked him what time he was leaving and he says probably never, I still have two orders to do!
Yikes!

Maybe a foot rub and keep the girls quiet tonight will be in order.

Finally, the DIS is back! I hate when I don't have my DIS! I caught up to all the reading from yesterday, but have to go back and do a lot of posting. Just wanted to get on here and say HI now that it's back.

You were all right about the doctor appointment yesterday...it went very wrong. I'll fill you in on all the gory details in a bit.
:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
