The Parent Trap was good, but my all-time favorite is The Trouble With Angels! I also loved Pollyanna.

After Trouble With Angels, I begged and pleaded to be sent 'away' to school! Not very likely to happen to a millworkers daughter!

:offtopic: DH Grumpy John wants me to post the news that happened at my house today....We have a genuine .50 ctw diamond puppy. While we were having a snuggle fest today, Angel popped up and bit my ear. Afterwards I found that my right earring, a .50 ctw diamond small hoop, was missing. Couldn't find it anywhere....puppy must have swallowed it! We're hoping this too shall pass!
So? Whatever happened? I had forgetten about this until Julie referenced it in her post. :rotfl2: Inquiring minds want to know! :lmao:

Julie, how frustrating to have to sit for so long on hold last night with Aeromexico with no result, but then get what you need in only 30 minutes this morning! But what a relief that you now have your ressies and don't have to deal with that hassle anymore. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

When does everybody have (had) Spring break. Ours is next week, the week before Easter. I always thought that was strange...seems Spring break should be the week after Easter :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Ours is the week after Easter and the district next to us has it this week.

Thank everybody for listening to me the last few days.....I was just crazy!!

Annie has had 3 doses of Meds now and looks like a new person. The doctor said after the 4th dose she should not be contagious anymore. Her fever has been gone all day. Her breathing is back to normal. She is smiling!!

Not sure what I will do with the school.....

Glad to hear she is doing better!

Our spring break is the first two weeks of April (yes two weeks)!! We're on a modified year round schedule so, we start middle of August, have one week at Thanksgiving, one MONTH at the end of Dec to the end of Jan for Christmas break, two weeks for Easter break and then we're out in the middle of June. I actually like it a lot. The kids like it to. We're able to go on vacation at different times, which is cool.

I love that schedule! Is it a public school? My sister lives in Hawaii and her step sons go to school year round with a few 2 week breaks through the year. Thought that was a great schedule.

Back to catching up...

Godd catch on the birth year. My own sister didn't figure that one out :rotfl:

This is one active group. I probably won't catch up until after the Med cruise this summer but I am soooo looking forward to this cruise. I went thru the locks last time from my desk at work. I was so usless that day - I should have just taken a vacation day but my home computer wasn't as good :rotfl2:

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Here I go again . . .

Julie, I did not quote your long reply, but when you were talking about your friends who were killed - I am almost afraid to ask - what is "the shot of grace"?

When people are executed, they are given a shot on the side of the face, just above the eye, to make sure they die, it is called "tiro de gracia" and I thought it would just be the same in English.

I am glad that your dad is doing better.

Only me around this morning! Well I guess you are all asleep.

A question for you all.

What are you thinking of doing after the cruise?

Fly home, since we will definetly need the sunday to recover so dd can go to school on monday and dh and I can go to work.

What in the world happened to the DIS boards? Have been down most of the day today????

:surfweb:

Been down for over 6 hours and was very slow before!

Same here so I am going to have to go back and figure out what I forgot to answer!!

:surfweb:

I had all these problems when I tried to post those days, what I do not understand is how the rest managed to post about 150 pages in just 10 days with all that trouble posting :confused3

I still have about 120 pages to go.

My son lives on the waterfront in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Small world...

:surfweb:

Did we talk about this before? My brother lives on Pitt Street.

He lives right on the Harbor. I think it is heaven on earth!!

Do you have any grandchildren in Mt Pleasant?

My DS lives on Periwinkle which is right on Copahee Sound, Dewees Island is across the Sound. I have three GS's who live in Mt. Pleasant.

Hello everyone. We're just back fromv cruising 10 days on the NCL Dawn. I hope everyone is well!

We're home! Don't know if I should be excited about that. Had a great time.

Think I will just try and catch up tonight and toddle off to bed. Work tomorrow :sad2:

My nieces and newhews all went to Charleston Day School. My brother retired when he was 40, (lucky guy) to help my DSIL raise their 4 kids. When the headmaster at the school quit, he filled in for 2 years.

Your brother sounds like a great guy!! I like to visit but I am not keen on the summer humidity.

So......you left us hanging all this time?! Sheesh, woman! :rotfl2: But seriously, I'm glad you found it! :thumbsup2

afternoon, or early evening everyone!
We got back around 3:30 - probably when John1, Amy and Sophie were taking off. Had a great time...wish we could have stayed longer. I am still amazed at making friends over the internet...I mean, obviously friends, who like different teams and can still speak....(Johnny is not great at that...) and even whom I feel great just being around and not having to worry about conversation...--sorry I was so quiet!!---

Vanessa,

Thanks for posting the pictures, (now I don't have to!) and thanks for sharing time with us. We really enjoyed your company, and yup, we were taking off at about 3:30 . . . got group A, we were the third ones in line at the gate, so we got to sit near the front of the plane, immediately behind all the people with under 6 year old screaming kids who get to courtesy board. Off the plane at 5:30, but not home until almost 9 (stopped for dinner on the way home from Cleveland).
