We hardly ever use any cash so take very little. Most places accept credit cards. We used cash for a coke at a Burger King at St. Martin, some beer at St. John and one time for some handmade jewelry from a sidewalk vendor.

Jan :earsgirl:
I never have cash on me, bad I know, but use my debit card for pretty much everything.

Can you spell T R O U B L E?!?!
15 nights of trouble!!

I am still in bed, working on this trip. DH brought me Starbucks in bed and all three girls are skiing with the church. Isn't that nice?

I have to get up and take down the Christmas stuff and then off to Frank's.
I've got to take down the rest of te xmas stuff today as well. John took my car to work so I have no excuse.

Just got back from the hospital....12:30pm est. Frank is doing pretty good tonight. He was complaining a lot!! I told him to do the rehab...don't bled anymore..any we can take you home soon.

He used a walker and walked down the hall with me....first time in 8 weeks!!

Good night all!
Lisa
Wow! Way to go Frank! Such a big improvement!

I have the today show on and the guest just said you should flip your mattress every 3 months :scared1: .....does anyone do that??

When ours was new I turned it monthly for 6 months, 2 monthly for 6 months, 3 monthly for a year, then 6 monthly , Spring and Autumn. No I am not a clean freak, I'm very lazy when it comes to housework, it is just that we had bad backs and I thought it helped with the mattress not getting saggy!:lmao: I hate doing it as it means vacuuming it and under it!:sad2:

Sorry popped off to get ready...yup, I got in...it was crazy how I did it, but it worked :cool1: This one is a basic nutrition one that I have to take for cont eds, but unfortunately it is quite basic and pretty much review. But, I got in:goodvibes , I'll get the credits :thumbsup2 and ...... I am going to DISNEY WORLD tonight:banana:  :cool1: :cool1: woooohooooo

your morning sounds fabulous Lisa...enjoy it!

off to class....catch ya all later from the happiest place on earth:)

Enjoy Disney tonight!!:dance3:

Our country went smoke free in public places last July so it is much better now.
You're so lucky. I think CA is the only state in the U.S. that is smoke free in public places (but I could be wrong). We did have ONE smoke free restaurant/bar in my city, but it went out of business. :sad2:

I am going to tell you guys something gross I found out yesterday. Frank lives all by himself in a pretty big house in Arlington VA, right outside the District of Columbia. He has two kitchens in the house.

Last night he told me that before he got sick, his refridge in the kitchen on the lower floor had broken. He forgot to tell us. He says there is food in it. He asked me to go to his house today and clean it out......OH YUCK!! 8 weeks...I told him we will have to throw the refridge out....and he said fine.

I am going there today to find out what is there.
OH NO!!! I wouldn't have the stomach for that. Can't Don check it out instead? Yucky!

Oh Sorry to heard that you not had a good times at the bar. Always same.
Maybe you are too old for it :lmao: :rotfl2: Only joking!! Stick to your favourite Mexican Restaurant:thumbsup2

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2
Well, I actually did feel too old for this bar! :rotfl: Too loud, not my type of music, a bunch of drunks, etc. But it was fun to watch the drunk people doing stupid things.....for a bit...then it was just sad!

The worst part for me was that I deeply missed having the free chips & homemade salsa that we usually get at the Mexican place. Yummy! I'll be there on Thursday, so I'll definitely be ready. :goodvibes

All of Atl and surrounding areas is smoke free in all resturants. I love it!

Holly...can you still smoke in public places in Michigan? It has been banned in WA for 3 years and I love it, although the entrances to most bars can be difficult since everyone tends to stand right there and smoke.
Sure can, and it's awful. It's why I don't go out much. I think some workplaces have banned smoking, but very few. A county in upper Michigan tried to ban smoking in public places, but a group of individuals are suing the county over the issue. One of the lawyers I was secretary for (until he quit and moved to a different firm last month) represents the individuals suing. He's made it up to the Supreme Court (just getting underway).

(Side note for those New Yorkers here, our Supreme Court is the highest court, in comparison to NY where Supreme Court is the lowest court.)

Well, I'm off to head to work. Just when I get my internet back at home, I have to miss a Saturday of playing on here all day. :guilty: OH well.....I'll have a nice paycheck to sooth my woes! This will be my biggest paycheck in a very, very long time.....and I'll get it just 5 days after my tax refund, so things are looking very nice! This paycheck will allow us to book our airfare and apply for our passports. :dance3:

Have a great day everybody! I'll search for the link to Bobby's TR tonight after Tyler's in bed (if I remember).

John has a wow setup. I have two airport express units, one working as a repeater due to the walls in the condo. I have a usb printer attached to the one is my room, which allows both computers (one of which is a windows machine) to print wirelessly.

Set up was a breeze.

I need some advice on the return trip home.

We get off the ship at about 8am. Then go to DL for the day.

I found a flight from LAX to Atlanta to Dulles leaving at 10pm that night (red eye) and arriving at Dulles Monday morning.

What time would we need to leave DL to get to LAX in tme for a 10pm flight?

Is this just a crazy plan?
Thanks
Lisa

I am doing a 9:45 pm flight out of LongBeach and supershuttle is picking me up at 7:05pm.

Well, not such a great time out tonight. Had lots of fun at my friend Cindy's apartment before heading to the bar, but the bar was way too rowdy, the music was too loud, it was the wrong kind of music for me, and it was too smoky. Just not my kind of place. From now on I'll stick with my weekly outing with co-workers to my favorite Mexican restaurant! :thumbsup2

Goodnight everybody! :grouphug:

Hi Holly, sorry the night was not quite as enjoyable as you had hoped for, but sounds like you had some fun. Smoking in bars and restaurants was banned here some time ago, I tend to forget that it isn't banned everywhere. I like to go and watch my daughter's band play and it is so much more enjoyable since the smoking ban came into effect.
