Just got back from the hospital....12:30pm est. Frank is doing pretty good tonight. He was complaining a lot!! I told him to do the rehab...don't bled anymore..any we can take you home soon.

He used a walker and walked down the hall with me....first time in 8 weeks!!

Good night all!
Lisa

Lisa, that's great news! I hope Frank continues to improve, and that you can begin to relax a little.

Kathe

My wife and I will be joining all of you on this cruise too.

Only three months and three weeks to go!

Jason

Nice to see We aren't the only ones with Christmas stuff still up! I think my youngest is wanting to keep it up for her birthday in February!!

Yea!! Christmas stuff is now down and mostly put away. Off to do errands. Bank for Frank, Pay Frank's bills, Buy PJ's for Frank, Clean Frank's Refridge (YUCK), pick up special newspaper for Frank....visit Frank....I think I need a salary!!

Oh that will in be in my room at the GC. I leave DL on Tuesday night.

PJ

Maybe my luggage can be in your room too??

Do you think if we take a cab from the ship to the airport, check the luggage, go to DL and then back to the airport...would that work? How early can you check baggage???

Welcome!! Glad to see you out of the closet and onto the ship :rotfl:

I don't know about scuba divers, but there are a few of us are doing SNUBA in Aruba....let me know if you'd like to join.

Thanks so much for the invitation, but we are devoted divers, so we will keep looking. You will really enjoy SNUBA - it is a great way for folks to get underwater without all the gear and training.....next step - you will be asking for your "C" card - (diver certification)....Thanks again.

You're so lucky. I think CA is the only state in the U.S. that is smoke free in public places (but I could be wrong). We did have ONE smoke free restaurant/bar in my city, but it went out of business. :sad2:

Holly,

Ohio went smoke free in all public places last year. It is nice going into a restaurant and not having to ask for non smoking. :thumbsup2

Carol

Welcome 'out'! Cheri (NotSoLittleMermaid) is a scuba diver so she may have some input for you. She should be back to posting here soon...probably after her DCL House Party next weekend (which I get to go to :thumbsup2 )

Dead quiet here at work now....don't know why they just didn't let us go home early :confused3 Oh well, I'd still be sitting her DISing anyway. Laptop supposed to be picked up by me DBil today, can't wait to pick it up!

I think I'm going to an $5 AM movie every morning Sa/Su/Mon....I'm having a hard time spending the $9 a daytime movie costs now...really have to get 'pickey' about what I'll spend my money on. The new Indiana Jones movie comes out while we are cruising...wish they had that on the ship too.

Great - I wil wait for her to post and catch her......I just returned for the Race for the Cure this morning, and need to go home and finish taking down the decorations (I read ahead -- glad I am not the only one still with them up).

Our hospital just went smoke free 1/1/08.....all the employees have to leave the campus to smoke.

Samantha just lost her second tooth! So both bottom teeth are gone! I just ordered two bathing suits and two outfits for the cruise. Feels good to get something for me!

Marilyn you are scared of water? I found that when we went on snorkel trips so many were first timers with a mask and would freak out when water got in them.....I guess we kind of take it for granted that everyone is familiar with the beach.

The soonest you may check baggage for a flight is 4 hours prior to the flight. Like PJ I would recommend using Supper Shuttle to get to LAX from DL. It would be much cheaper than a Taxi and these guys now every back road into LAX. (Used to use them a lot when I lived in California and was never late for a flight.)

Hi Jason, welcome to our fab group. Just me, Marilyn and hubby John on the cruise.

A salary, medal and all the best blessings to you!

Do you think DCL will be offering onboard check in? That would be wonderful for you.

Does Supershuttle pick up a few groups at once? We need to book from DL to LAX and have no idea what to do.

Also we all need to get from the port to DL.

wow - it's so neat to see all these newcomers and lurkers posting! Welcome to all!!

Well, I just finished up a load of laundry. It is gorgeous here today, hope it's nice in Orlando for Kaylee. I took down the tree and hauled it to the curb....at least it's not February yet.

That's why I'm doing the SNUBA. I want to make sure I can handle the depth w/ SNUBA first before I go for the C card. I figure I didn't want to spend the $ to get certified if I couldn't handle it :lmao:
