:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Many of us got thru tough times last year primarily thanks to our cruise friends. Still can't believe that all of you are booked on a different cruise now.

Lisa,

You don't know how often I wish you and your family were going with us on this cruise. We are so lucky to have some of our old friends with us again, but we have had dinner with you guys for the last three cruises!

For all you guys that don't know Lisa, she is a mod here, but a great friend too, and one of the nicest (and crazy hardworking) people you would ever want to meet. We met Lisa through the DIS, and had a mini-meet with her and the kids when we found out our beach vacation was close to her home. Lisa is on the other repo cruise with the crazy post count!

Thank goodness we will see you guys at the beach in July (my deposit is in, and we are reserved) at WDW in December!

ooh ooh I want to share too!

I first posted on this site in May of 2006. I am not kidding you when I tell you I did not think there were people this nice left in the world today. I was totally stunned by the generosity of time and effort put in by the people on that thread.

There are people on that cruise that I feel closer to than any neighbor I have ever had in my life. I do not cry often, but the last morning on the cruise I bawled like a baby. I was so overwhelmed by what a wonderful experience these incredible people had given me and even more so, my DD. She has been working with people at the university because she is so shy. She said this was the best vacation of her life.

I cannot express the appreciation and absolute shock that people can be this nice, and not just to get something, they actually are this nice.

Should I start singing kumbya now?

You made me cry again! :sad1:

Hi pahrumpgirl,
I looked for the directions for making the fish extenders but didn't see them. I did see the explanation and all, but not the directions. Are they there and I just overlooked them? (very possible!)
Thanks!:goodvibes

Click on the brown link under the title, it should download the word file with instructions.

....If what I saw on our other thread happens here too, there will be a core of diehards here who really get to know each other well, and keep the thread going. Lots of others signed on, but just kept tabs without talking as much. In the end, everyone got as involved as they were comfortable with.

Me, I just really enjoy meeting people and hearing about their lives. I find it so interesting. I also feel much safer here than other places on the internet because of the common love of Disney, which for the most part, brings people together who are more family oriented like me.

I would be really reticent in what I have seen out there in other places.
I'm comfortable getting to know all of you as much as possible, but time is an issue. I'd love to be here all day every day, but after work and keeping up with DS4, then dinner and laundry or cleaning or whatever, I'm too pooped and just want to go to sleep. And I even have the semester off! You will all think I dropped off the face of the earth when I add that back in. I guess I'll just have to work harder when I'm at work to find time to get on here more. :thumbsup2 I just love it when I get paid to DIS! ;)

I don't know why, but I am having trouble keeping up with our thread . . .

That doesn't sound right . . . I can keep up, but I am not posting as much. With our DD thread, it was more like being in a chat room because we all kept talking to each other, and I think we were online a lot at the same time. I seem to often be out of sync with the pattern here - maybe because we have more people out West, and less on Eastern time.

Here, the pattern seems to be very different, and the thread seems to "never sleep". I also find that when I go to comment on something, someone else already said it, so I just keep reading . . .

Anyhow, just wanted to say I am still out here, just reading along since you all do such a great job of answering the questions I would comment on!

John-I've noticed the same thing--I do think it's because of the west coast vs. east coast time zone thing. And sometimes, I just enjoy reading what everyone has to say, but I don't necessarily have a comment.

YES!

Now why couldn't I think of that!

Run Kim, Run!

:rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Seriously, when you all get THAT MAD, what do you do so you don't take it out on those who do not deserve it. Mine is wierd, but it worked and it is legal. I had to do something! And can I also tell you that the rocky 4 soundtrack has the best running songs on the planet?

No Pub Night, but we have gone to "'Til We Meet Again" in the atrium - good chance for the kids to see the characters. Since someone mentioned so few kids on the cruise, for those of you who went before, will my 8yr old dd get to see the characters as usual, or will the "big kids" make it hard for the little ones to see the characters?

And it was Lisa's nightmare! We did something for everyone on the cruise . . . foam bananas with the date and "DIS Geeeks" imprinted on them. Almost all of us had stockings instead of the fish extenders (pre-Christmas cruise) so I just walked the entire ship one night (yeah, EVERY deck) with my big box of foam bananas and stuffed them into every stocking I found.

John, i will be her big kid, partner! I have four of those foam bananas!

PJ!!! I have missed you girl!!!!! You need to tell us some stories of the bookstore. Is your new job making you want to run also?

...I really miss running, and my goal is to one day lose enough of this middle aged flab to be able to run again. It is the best stress reliever in the world!

Me too! Before getting pregnant, I was up to 5 miles about 4 times a week. Then my metabolism stopped after I had my son and I've been struggling ever since to stop gaining weight. But this IS the year I'll get back to the fitness level I was at before. :cheer2: GO ME!

I think I even asked you why you were so nice? Isn't that funny now!!! No more crying, Steve will make me check into a mental facility after todays run in the research park.

LOL! Yes, I remember that. :goodvibes Glad that you found us so that we could help to fix your TA's um...errors with the reservations. OY!!! Emailing your DD & John's was the highlight of Kaitlyn's year. She is still working on a Vday card to send out...never seems to finish it. LOL! John, I have Sophia's gift here but I can't get to it right now. It is in the cedar closet out in the garage with replacement windows stacked in front of it & the blue car in front of that. :rolleyes1 Mike decided to rearrange to garage & put the car in there this past week.

Also, oddly enough I feel like I am one of the few with children who are coming.... Is that a good thing for them on this cruise or a bad thing.

Me, too!! I hope it will be a good thing for the kids. My DD was overwhelmed with the 60 plus kids in the clubs the two times we went to check them out. So, less kids may be a good thing! And, if the kids hang in the clubs at all, maybe we won't miss all the adult pool/PALO/nightclub activities...Not counting on that, though...we'll probably just have to hear the stories and live vicariously....:)

did someone say RUM???

oops, run, don't do that unless forced..to the great displeasure of my father.

Now, I expected Captain Jack to bring that up!

(he's too busy in the posting frenzy elsewhere)

Me too! But sometimes I just have to pipe in with my "Me too" just to remind everybody I'm still there so nobody forgets me! ;)

I take it out on those who DO deserve it.

(Kidding.)

JOHN, AMY, LISA, KIM, STEVE, VANESSA, ANGIE, DENNIS and JOHN, I MISS YOU ALL!

The job is going well, but they seem to have missed the fact that there are still some things I actually will need to be trained on, lol. Each day they tell me to order stuff from companies that I have never even seen their websites.

ME " ok, what is the webiste address, what is the sign-in & password"
THEM "you know the one with the software"
ME "ok, sure":confused3

Lol.
