JOHN, AMY, LISA, KIM, STEVE, VANESSA, ANGIE, DENNIS and JOHN, I MISS YOU ALL!

The job is going well, but they seem to have missed the fact that there are still some things I actually will need to be trained on, lol. Each day they tell me to order stuff from companies that I have never even seen their websites.

ME " ok, what is the webiste address, what is the sign-in & password"
THEM "you know the one with the software"
ME "ok, sure":confused3

Lol.

LOL PJ . . . don't you just order from Apple? :rotfl2:

I was at the Apple store on Sunday - drooling over stuff, but not buying.

Anyway, laptop battery fading, as I am too. 11:00 here - time I get to bed. Night all, and thanks for the company.

ooh ooh, we may get a COOL preMEAR after all!! Indiana Jones 4 is slated to come out next May 22. maybe since there's indy stuff in both parks, we'll get to see it at sea!!

Apple is my main gig, but that is easy, even with all the custom orders. So I am doing all the odd suppliers as well, Jr buyer my butt.

I had to laugh at that because it reminds me of my days at work. The lawyer I primarily work for will be 80 in a couple of months and a little forgetful. So he's always calling me into his office to find things for him:

Him: "Can you get me that letter I sent the other day?"
Me: "Letter to who?"
Him: "You know...to that one guy."
Me: "What guy?"
Him: "You know...in that one case I'm handling."

:rotfl2: Have to laugh or I'll go nuts!

Carol and Doug - any recommendations/suggestions as to the best way to decorate our fish extenders? Do stickers stick on there, or is it best to sew something on there - or use super glue?? Any help would be appreciated.

Scotch tape would not hold our little photo caricatures. We didn't want to decorate the extender until we were onboard in fear of it all coming off.

I don't post very often but I read every post on this board! I can't imagine the number of posts I would have to read on the Eastbound! That's a part time job.

Sounds like there are several university employed people on this cruise? I am an assistant professor of accounting, my first year out of grad school. This cruise falls right at the end of our spring semester, so for me the timing is good. But I have my daughter booked to go with me and she would miss school. BUT, I am hoping with some persuasion, the school will let her miss and maybe take some work with her. We can have school at sea! As for my son, he has finals the last week of school, so I haven't booked him yet. He would have two and half days after the cruise left in the school year. I want to talk to the school first. I hope I can add him to the cabin we have booked if the school gives the all clear.

So, I bet I am not the only lurker out here that is reading all the posts but just not posting very often.

A little over 14 months till the cruise of a lifetime!! I am so glad I went ahead and got a cabin booked. If you had told me that the ship would sell out this quickly, I would have made a sure thing bet that you would be wrong. I watched the prices on the 2005 Westbound and saw how the prices dropped close to the sail date. I was too poor (graduate school) to go then but I am really happy to go now!:thumbsup2

Me too! Before getting pregnant, I was up to 5 miles about 4 times a week. Then my metabolism stopped after I had my son and I've been struggling ever since to stop gaining weight. But this IS the year I'll get back to the fitness level I was at before. :cheer2: GO ME!

I have come to the conclusion that I will never be a perfect size 6. What I do need to do is keep myself engergized. I don't run very far, but I try every day.

Hi All,

I have been having the day from h&**...my Alaska cruise may be falling apart and I will not know for sure until tomorrow. My car spent the weekend and then today at the dealership and work is about to drive me around the bend. I got home a little while ago and all I want to do is have a drink some chocolate and go to bed. Tomorrow will not be better in the morning, but hopefully I can regroup and get back on track tomorrow...

That's all you can do---try, try, and try some more. :thumbsup2

Hi! Yes, Business owner on University Campus and Adjunct Professor, DH is also Adjunct, he teaches in the Communications Department. We are out before this cruise, so good on that front. DD will miss school, but its 2nd grade. I figure between the 2 of us, my mathematics professor father and a few friends, we can keep her caught up. Although I must admit, DH and DF are better teachers than I. My response is usually, I don't know, you just do it that way.

WELCOME! :yay:

I've been reading a thread on the general cruise page about what people don't like about DCL!!! I must stop reading it!:confused3 Now I might find that the food is bland, people smoke each side of the verandah, children run up and down the corridor at 6am:eek:, last night is disappointing with everything closing down, Palo's is nothing special, etc, etc, etc!!!

I don't care!!!!

We love everything about the cruise and have very little negative to say! We did have a very rough start to our last PCL cruise, but we love Palo and the food (kids menu is bland, our DD switched to the adult menu as it was not sophisticated enough for her,) We did hear a lot of noise above our stateroom as we were underneath the 9th deck and deck chairs were moved around by the crew late at night and early in the morning.

Only had smokers in the staterooms next to us! HATED it when we would go out to enjoy the views and early morning on Panama day.

Ha Ha, can I use that line? Sometimes I feel the overwhelming need to explain the whys of everything. I think your answer is better, especially in accounting.

Thanks for the welcome, I started reading the new posts today and I discovered that although I felt like I was getting to know all of you guys but you can't get to know me if I never post. So, I will make an effort to post on a regular basis, even if I don't have anything clever to say. ;)

 Cars suck, mine needs a new header gasket ($700 cad), but cheaper then a down payment on a new car, planned for June 08. Take a break, sweetie!

Must pull myself away from Miami Ink! Just....turn....TV....off! Can't oversleep for work a 3rd day in a row! Need every hour at work to pay for 2 upcoming cruises. :woohoo: Goodnight all!

Just got caught up! Worked late tonight then took myself out for a nice glass of Banfi Key-ahn-tee and a piece of chocolate cake. I'm now ready to fall asleep in a sugar induced coma! That was my Fat Tuesday celebration.

nighty-nite all........
