Hello - I have been trying to keep up with the posts but gave up and will try to read as I can. Our family will be cruising this wonderful repo cruise with all of you.

I am doing this cruise as a surprise gift to my hubby who will return from Iraq for the 2nd time several months before this cruise - so this will be a great time for our family to spend time together.

By the time we take this cruise it will be our 3rd Disney cruise = we took our first cruise this past April and we are hooked!

We homeschool the kids who will be 11 and 13 on this cruise and they are looking forward to cruise - especially after we do bookwork the months leading up to the cruise about the PC!

I hope I will be able to keep up with things for this cruise - I know I will never be one of the top 28 posters to get access to the web site but will try to keep up with things.

I hope to find several other families with children who will be around the same age as mine to correspond with and/or families in TN.


Now back to reading all these messages!! Any chance of sub groups for messages?

I have a stupid question. What do you do with the fish extenders? Pass notes, accept donations? (j/k)

The fish extenders started on the original Westbound Panama. A lot of the disers who were cruising brought small gifts that were left in the fish extenders. It was also a great place to leave notes, etc. We all called it "fish mail". It proved so popular, we did it again on the 11-night southern caribbean.

Gifts included custom printed M&Ms, pirate tatoos, costume jewelry, a custom printed white board, door magnets, postcards, waterproof lanyards, glow necklaces, etc. For pirate night, one person printed up Letters of Marque for everyone.

It was done completely on a optional basis - we knew that for a lot of families, just coming on the cruise is a stretch financially. But it was a lot of fun - coming up with ideas, delivering them to the extenders, and then discovering surprises throughout the cruise.

Thank you! I can't wait to participate in that site! (Will we get notified via PM?) I'm going to have to take a self-imposed break from this site so that I can get some work done over the next year to pay for this cruise (it is going to be a hard habit to break)! I'm soon hoping to help my kids with the "ship of little thieves" site, so I'll see some of you there.

Some of you have such strict schools! I'm thankful that we will be able to get our kids on independent study, which means more work for the teachers (but of course there will be nice gifts upon our return!). But it also means the school district will get their money, and that makes the principal happy.

I wish this wasn't goodbye, but it will have to be for a while. (We'll see how long that lasts!)

Well, we had almost an entire small suitcase full of DIStag stuff in November! If we play that again, I will definitely ship ahead! DH will think I'm nuts, but 2 weeks on a ship and I'll need all the luggage room I can get.

Diapers & wipes, formula, apple cider, snacks not available on the cruise, beach toys you will leave on the beach, stuff for pirate night, door stoppers for connection rooms....actually, this would be a good post for the general board. I think they might have a lot of suggestions. I'll go post it!

We are cruising on this cruise and I've been trying to catch up with the thread with no luck. I'm only on page 127.

Is there a separate website or something? Saw some mention of it or is this only for the frequent posters? We had a separate website, password protected, for one of our cruises and it worked out great. The kids were free to post and get to know each other long before the cruise and since it was password protected no worries. DH hosted the website on his server and would do so again if required. He also has the software to run the board as well.

Another couple of Canucks here -- freezing today.

They (pjpoohbear and AuntyBrat) are working on a website. I don't know if it's open for everyone, yet. In the testing phase Disneycruising set up a Little Ship of Thieves site on yahoogroups. There has been some activity there, but, honestly, it's not as easy to follow the conversation as it is here.

I wouldn't even try to read all the back posts at this point. I think AuntyBrat was going to try to post period Chat Recaps to help keep everyone up to speed on the website.

I have two DD on the cruise, ages 8,12 at time of cruise. Disneycruising has a private-secured Web-site set up for ship of little thieves. It a way for the kids to get to know each other before the cruise.

BTW - who ever is heading to WDW at any time, and wants to do a mini DIS meet send me a PM - I live only 20 minutes from the World.

I went with some good friends to the Pirate & Princess Party this past Thursday. It was fantastic! LOVED IT! Parade and fireworks were amazing.
Can definately see myself doing that again. The 3 of us went with our tiaras and wands, and had a ball.

Thanks again to those who worked on the other website....amazing work and to you. I will try to email over a decent pic of me to add soon.

It is not only the top 28 that will have access. That was just the group they started with. There are many who have only posted once or twice and it is hard to know who is really going and who is not. PJ or AuntyBrat will be happy to send the link to all! This is an inclusive, not exclusive group!
