Our daughter is allergic to nuts. We have to watch really carefully and we have the epi pen also, however now that she is a teenager, it is really much easier since she can tell herself. Lucky for us, she immediately gets sick and her system kicks it right back out.
Which brings me to this little story....we were on a Delta Flight and the flight attendant came on and said that they had a child allergic to nuts on the plane so they were asking the 2 rows in front of the child and the 2 rows behind the child to not eat nuts during the flight. There were some pretty pi**ed off passengers.
Funniest part of the story. The kids were all the way in like the 3rd to the last row of the flight, and their parents were sitting in First Class. I think that is what really upset people more than anything, about their "lack" of concern. If they were really that worried, maybe they should have been sitting with their child.....
Anyway, we can now start the debate of whether airlines should or should not serve nuts on flights....
