I went to Target this morning and actually bought a new swimsuit (2 really). Will try them on tonight . . . and return 1 if not both of them.
I did not think one could return a swimsuit.

They work great however there is one draw back with them. They make it way to easy to go over the 50# weight limit when you pack the bag.

Think we may have our "NO SHIPPING" problem under control. Ordered 2 Big Rig 30's last night. They are supposed to be very light and when packed full weigh out under the 50#. Plus they will fit under the bed without much trouble. This is from info that fellow DISers have put on the board. Will post our results once they arrive. We also ordered some mesh packing cubes to go with the bags. That should make things easier if they decide to go through the bags for inspection.

Doug and Carol

I ordered one too and I can't believe how light it is. And when empty it folds in on itself so it gets pretty flat. Yea, SUPER lightweight

For what its worth, Photobucket is inherently NOT secure. Even if you have your photos password protected, once you post one of them, it is relatively easy to see others in the account and there are programs on the net that will help you "hack" others accounts. Part of the problem is 99% of people post sequential numbered photos (e.g. how your camera numbers them). So if someone knows you have photo http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0001.jpg then they can use a program to check for http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0002.jpg, http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0003.jpg, http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0004.jpg even if you have a password on your account, the photos will show. Other sites, like flikr and webphotos?? randomize the display name so you can't do this.

Also, if you don't lock your photobucket, if someone sees your photo name http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0001.jpg then all they need to do is lop off the photo extension "IMG_0001.jpg" to see your entire account at http://www.photobucket.com/username/

So if you have embarrassing photos on photobucket....

Geek content added, now returning to my EB thread....

Don't forget though you can make a photo PRIVATE. It will not appear when linked to unless you are the account holder and logged in. However I name all my pictures goofy things like cruise dress night 3 and things like that LOL :rotfl:

Did anyone ever find out if Aunty Brat (Laura) is still on board?

Not heard at all. . .

Laura was given a hard time with the post about how she felt the Transatlantic Repo went for her. I wonder if she was upset about that. . .

The major op and treatment must have had a big impact I realise though.
I miss Laura, and hope she is recovering from her operation.

That's a tough one. My DH does bring a pair of dress shoes, and then rent the tux shoes. I think patent shoes do not work for dress suits but non-patent shoes work for tux. So you probably could use his shoes...but it is really easy, and not that expensive, just to rent the tux patent ones. I'd vote to bring the ones you have and rent the tux shoes.

Lisa

My hubby won't be wearing a tux at all. I can hardly coerce him into a suit, and he draws the line at a tie, he wears a mock turtle neck shirt with his suit. I also have trouble getting him out of comfy shoes.....no shiny ones for him!

I think the guys look so nice in there formal wear!

Oh I know how you feel. When I 'encouraged' John to book this cruise one of the first things he said was 'I'm NOT dressing up'. He linked cruising with stuffy dress and dining. Eventually he agreed to take his suit(he looks so good in it) and now he wants the tux.:confused3  He has worn dress tails at 3 out of the 4 childrens' weddings and looks great.

I'm not Woody but we use them every trip we take. They come with a folding board and if you use the board you can get about twice the clothes in the cube that you could normally get in. You compress the clothes when you close the cube. They stay wrinkle free because they don't slide around the suitcase.
The folding board is the key. Ever notice how neatly the t-shirts are folded at Disney Stores. Same concept.

Did you see this over on the 'magnetic door signs' thread?

It was used last PC crossing and the poster took their printing off so you can put your own on if you wanted.

Some clothing questions.

John is going to rent a tux and bring his suit. The shoes he normally wears with his suit are the type of leather that doesn't shine however long you buff them, so I presume he would need to rent the tux shoes. Will he still need to bring his normal black shoes for his suit? If I can get him to buy some black, more shiny (but not patent) shoes, would these do for the tux so he wouldn't have to rent those? He does have problems with shoes fitting.
I think this would be perfectly acceptable, especially given the new luggage limitations.

Woody

I'm not going to be bringing patent shoes with my tux. I have a pair of brushed black shoes I am bringing for both my suit and my tux.

I just figure all of us guys in our tuxes will look so good no one will be looking at our feet!
I just figure they're more interested in "who's going commando?"

Woody

She asked for it right before kindergarten but thankfully she is the type that loves compliments. Everyone told her how pretty it was so now says she never wants to cut it. Most the girls in her class still have fine baby type hair and hers is really thick and grows fast.

My daughter was in kinder and had a friend with a bob. So my daughter wanted one and well my daughter has curly hair. It did not look the same as her friends and my daughter cried for about 10 minutes then went on with life. My daughter grows her hair every year to her but and then cuts it off to right below her shoulders. It looks best in the middle of her back but no shorter I think. Just too hard to make it cute with her curls.

Woody,

Interested in knowing more about why you find the cubes useful. How do you use them?

Ian,

I know you addressed this question to Woody, so I hope you don't mind my putting in my 2cents.

I like using the cubes for putting like things together. For example all my undies in one, DH's in another. When DH tears throught the bag looking for his favorite shirt he's not making a GIANT mess. He can grab his cube and leave my things still nicely folded. :) They work very well with kids as well.
