Oh that makes her even more angry!!! She hates when I go on vacation. I really don't like my job but I have worked there so long I don't know where to go. I work at Target. She sent me home early today and I was in tears on the way home.

I worked at target in college! Don't cry. This is not the big picture.

Thats the problem with us accountants...no art skills. I'd be more help, but that looks good to me!:rotfl:

so sad and true. hopefully the arty folks will chime in tomorrow, I told him to back off and stop pressuring me to make a choice tonight.

Paul is pressuring me to make our sign.

So far we have

Not sure what else your limitations are (ie graphics or just text?)...

Thank you!! Lisa

Shaelyn has always been worried about swallowing her tooth, so when it gets close (and I mean really close cause she is a real wimp) she tends to eat food that will help it along. Apparently, tonight was no different. Chomp into some meat and out it came.

Ethan's name was going to be Shaelyn but we changed our mind with Brooke!

text only, or their graphics which suck

3 lines to make it in readable size.

Molly was going to be Wilson (it's my dad's middle name)

and Wilson was going to be Topanga, since he isn't that's what I call the minivan

I'm not familiar with your neck of the woods, but in my experience as an Employment Counsellor, I usually tell people that the best time to look for a job is when you have one. Many of my clients have come back and let me know that after getting a job they were surprised at how many other jobs fell into their laps. A current work history usually helps employers make a decision because they feel someone else has already "broken you in" to the world of work and current "worker" is less of a risk than someone who isn't currently employed.

I say if you want out of your current job, start looking now. You are in the position of power as you can take or turn down other opportunities if you want. That power often leads to more confidence which usually leads to more opportunities.

Oh yes and one of my favourite quotes I give to clients:

"The biggest mistake you can make is to believe that you work for someone else."

When we were 20 our kid's names were Sage for a boy and Shae for a girl!

Ken, I know you've told us before that you did that for a living, but I keep thinking you are a techno guy instead. wise words...hence I'm self-employed for over 12+ years now.

Ok, my daughter was named after my first cat that I got as an adult...sad but true. When I was 18 and moved out on my own, and way to young to have a baby...I got a kitten and named it taylor, the name of my future first born boy or girl.
So my kid knows the story..thanks auntie...and reminds me every now and then that she was named after a cat!

What happens if she gets it, with the cruise? Do they know she's going to be gone? Good luck.

No they don't know yet. Let them decide they want her first then let them know when she can start. That way she is negotiating from a positive position. If she lets them know ahead of time, then they have the control. Employers via the hiring process are usually not looking for a reason to say yes, but instead are looking for reasons to say "no". It is easier to give reasons to say no, so the interview process helps the employer weed these things out. By telling them that you can't start until later, gives them a reason to say no. But once they have decided you are the right candidate for them, they may be more lenient at letting her have the time off for the trip.

Also, they know she is currently employed with lots of responsibilities so they cannot logically expect her to be able to drop that job to start theirs. So there will be some leniency gien if she gets it.

No matter what, this opportunity will not affect the trip no matter what. The trip comes first.

molly was named after my dog, kowdog, or molly moo kow as I called her.

paul named casey and the next day told me that was the name he always thought he'd use for a girl. stupid man, I would have used it too, but molly fits molly really good.
