it's been years since I have flown on a 'bigger' aircraft....where do the middle rows put their overhead luggage?

In the overhead lockers. There are lockers over the middle rows too.

I can't speak for others, but during my tough times this year (and there have been a few big ones) the distraction of reading the just daily stuff was a blessing to me. That daily chatter let me know also that there is still some normalcy out there and would return for me.

It's been the same for me, Angie.

Thank you to everyone. :flower3:

Good morning Marilyn, if you're still on here!

I really should check the last couple of pages before I start trying to catch up.

I wanted to post a picture before I go to bed. I have no idea which cruise this was, but I think it is cute!

Hi Lisa

I like your daughters's dress as these are beautiful dress, lovely colour.:thumbsup2

Ok I had a very bad day at work. I am available 2 days a week for a total of around 20 hours. Well next week is my last week of school and my manager scheduled me almost 40 hrs and 5 days without asking me. I told her I couldn't work that much and she said too bad you have to. I of coarse don't have to as that is not my availabilty. Well if I tell HR or her manager she will look for a way to get me HUGE trouble. Today she wouldn't look or talk to me.She wanted to write me up b/c I called in Monday. I haven't called in in months (I have worked her 7 years). Thanks goodness my best friend is also a manager and warned me.

I really want to get it fixed but she will punish me if I do. Our HR won't tell her but she will find out. She basically threatens us not to tell what she does to us. She tells us all the time she can fire us anytime she wants. Its getting really old so I am thinking on going over there either tomarrow or Fri and hope she doesn't see me talking to HR. Last time I talked to HR we all went as a group and she wrote the whole team up. Everyone quit but me and now all the new people are quitting too.

Thanks for letting me vent. I hope to talk to my best friend and her boyfriend (both managers) about what to do tomorrow.

:sad2: I am sick of manager too.

Last week my work refused to give me day off for funeral. I emailed them next day how frustrated I was. then I went to work as manager never bring it up about my email. I went to work as there was short staff, of course, I found out that lots of staff were off to watch tv of Football Ranger!! I was mad. which one important football or funeral??

I am bringing it up tonight to my boss as my friend think my work feel guilty after I emailed them to pointed out my view!!

sad to have that all the time. for me it was the opposite. my mom was really nice and can be sometimes, other times she acts like a child. it's hard. she also can't be trusted with alot of stuff, we have her meds delivered to her daily and I do all her finances. I'm sure this is better than a crabby mom from the get go, but I feel like I lost both my parents when my dad died a few years ago.:sad1:

Nan,

I know that feeling because I lost my dear mum and dad when I was very young. I still missed them.:sad1:

Paul is pressuring me to make our sign.

I'm bored with it, help :worship: :worship:

it is 4' long 1' in height with groments for $34 ($44 with tax and shipping)

sound good but we take the Scotland Flag:woohoo:

Oh that makes her even more angry!!! She hates when I go on vacation. I really don't like my job but I have worked there so long I don't know where to go. I work at Target. She sent me home early today and I was in tears on the way home.

Unfair. I give you my  Never mind them.

Molly was going to be Wilson (it's my dad's middle name)

and Wilson was going to be Topanga, since he isn't that's what I call the minivan

My daughter's name after my mum and Ian's mum. My mum name is Olive so I changed to Olivia Lilian.

My son's name after my surname!! His middle name after Ian - Iain (scottish name)

No they don't know yet. Let them decide they want her first then let them know when she can start. That way she is negotiating from a positive position. If she lets them know ahead of time, then they have the control. Employers via the hiring process are usually not looking for a reason to say yes, but instead are looking for reasons to say "no". It is easier to give reasons to say no, so the interview process helps the employer weed these things out. By telling them that you can't start until later, gives them a reason to say no. But once they have decided you are the right candidate for them, they may be more lenient at letting her have the time off for the trip.

Also, they know she is currently employed with lots of responsibilities so they cannot logically expect her to be able to drop that job to start theirs. So there will be some leniency gien if she gets it.

No matter what, this opportunity will not affect the trip no matter what. The trip comes first.

At Uk, if she got the job, she allowed to have holiday because she already booked it before interview.

I booked Australia after had interview and I got the job and they allowed me to go to Australia for 3 and half weeks.:thumbsup2

Hi - trying to catch up but I now am too tired. I think I should just join in at night, and not worry about catching up. I miss out on all the fun.

Hi

Saw your photo at Page 11, that is lovely photo, you three look good with champagne. Sound you all had a fun.

 I am so sorry:hug:

We are dealing with this. When Dad died, Mother's difficulties became more apparent. When he was sick they were still a unit but she was then the brawn and he was the brains.

When it got to the point that her decisions were not safe, she was not making good financial decisions and was getting lost, my brother moved into our childhood home to keep her in her own home longer. He wanted to be her primary caregiver--God bless him!!

Finally he was getting no quality sleep (he still does not think that is a good assessment) but his health was suffering--physical and mental. Mother is now in a special care center for Alzheimer's victims now which is only 12 miles away. He visits almost daily and takes her to appointments and on outings.

So sad to lose someone this way. Windows of recollection in the midst of times of confusion, lost words, illogical sentences, etc. Her train of thought jumps the track.

She was a "word smith", a walking thesaurus, a poet and a caregiver--she collected people and was amazingly supportive and nurturing. Now it is her turn to be cared for and it bugs her to pieces. Some of her anger and frustration in the early period was the inability to admit that she needed help. She never minded helping others, but does not want to need help.

Is your Mother living alone? Is she on any Alzheimer's meds?

 Jan

molly was named after my dog, kowdog, or molly moo kow as I called her.

paul named casey and the next day told me that was the name he always thought he'd use for a girl. stupid man, I would have used it too, but molly fits molly really good.

Hey did you guys bury your St. Joseph figurine upside down in the yard???

:confused3 Please explain!

A friend told me that it is a Roman Catholic tradition to bury a little statue of St. Joseph in the yard of the house you want to sell and it sells faster.
:confused3 I'm Presbyterian, we don't do it.

The book was way better. The movie had a much different end which I despised!!!!
Yes, the ending is what ruined the movie for me. I do think I read the book many, many years ago, but too long ago for me to remember it.

But I watched "Juno" right after and it was so cute! Today I'll watch "I am Legend" after work. :thumbsup2

I personally agree, but I remember someone saying something about lots of them showing up one time...
Don't worry.....majority rules! :thumbsup2 Anybody who doesn't like them can very quickly skim over the pics.

The tooth fairy doesn't come here either. Now I just save them in a box and tell her she's too old.
Do I win the bad mom award?
No, I just might win the bad mom award. I won't even keep the teeth. It grosses me out to have a dead piece of something that fell off his body lying around! :scared: He has the first tooth somewhere in his bedroom in a bag because I don't want to see it! The 2nd one is at his dad's house because they were appalled that I was going to throw it out! :rotfl2: Gross!

Off to work now. Have a great day everybody! Have to first drive all the way up to Tyler's school to take him his firefighter outfit because they're having a field trip the fire station and the teacher gave him the OK to wear the outfit. He wants to surprise the other kids because it really looks just like the real gear they wear. Not the fake rubber kind, very realistic. Except our city wears the brown ones, but Tyler wanted the black because he says that's what New York City wears. :goodvibes

Ah, you know you are getting close when one of the suitcases is declared full and zipped up....I had to measure it 4 ways come Sunday to finally figure out if it fell withing the 62 total inches. It's amazing how your brain just will not work after 9 pm at night doing simple math...17 + 27 + 17 = ??????

Now will have to weigh it on our scales....discovered that my weight and the bag....blow over the upper limit on the scale....hmmmmm, the bag must really be heavy:lmao:

We're now trying to figure out what bills will come due while we are away and how much we have to prepay to cover them....ugh...they are bad enough every month...but doubling them.....:scared1:

I waited to read the Harry Potter books until the last one came out and Nancy had finished reading them, I then read them all in order and now I am half way through the Deathly Hallows....the images sure stay with you....

Online for Tiffany Publishing, try order one. it won't accept on second page

I like it! I like the simplicity. I like the quiet self confidence it exudes. It says "I know who I am and I know why I'm here."

But then again, I think less is more.

It was so astute of you to hearken back the the utilitarian movement!
