Hey all - just thought I'd post a picture of the elusive Castaway Cay big fig. Consensus on another thread seems to be that it was delivered via Castaway Cay mail service - you know - the one that take 2-3 months to deliver a postcard. Goes to figure that a big item like this would take a whole whopping 8 MONTHS! :scared1:

Anyway, if anyone likes it - please be advised that supposedly this is only available in CC so if you want one - make sure you don't have any plans for the next 5-8 months. A friend got hers 3 months ago. But then again - she is in GA! Guess the other side of the continent just takes longer! :rotfl2: ;)

Whole Figurine (be aware - the figurines are NOT glued in - they are just placed on top)

Hey I have been looking at one of those on eBay. It is a buy it now at $240 plus another $50 for shipping. How much are they on CC?

A question about the Hyatt at MCO. We arrive late on Friday the 9th because I have to work that day.

Is anything happening for breakfast at the Hyatt on the morning of the 10th?

At one time, I was going to plan a champagne/mimosa brunch in one of the meeting rooms. I kinda put that on the back burner, mostly because I think most of us are going to be getting up and heading to the port so early. Not sure if anyone else started to plan something? Lisa

I think Lisa is correct. There was some talk about meeting for breakfast, but I think most everyone wants to be in the Hummerzine or on the bus asap. At least I do. Plus I don't want to eat to much so I can save "room" for lunch on board.:thumbsup2 I'm going with a light breakfast.

I was thinking we should do it first thing in the morning, after they eat breakfast, like 8 a.m., + or -, on sea days of course, maybe the first Tues., Thurs. & Sat. (get the homework over with!).
Sea days sounds good and sooner then later would most likely be a good idea.

Love the CC big fig. Would love to have one of those come home, but no place in the Condo.

I just read on the main cruise board that the some of the dinner menus may be updated this month. Can't wait for someone to bring copies home and share them!

yes that was my thought too. Mine will get some kind of homework assignment from their teachers. I hope it will be inclusive and not require us to do outside research or get supplies or resources, but I just don't know yet. What I would look for is another adult asking my kids to show that they are working on their assignment. My kids can do it, but they complain terribly when I ask them to do it. If the request came from another adult and within a group of peers I think they will gleefully do the work.

And of course the spa is for their benefit, I will enjoy mine while you are riding them, so that they don't have a mama crabby at them, or yelling as Wilson tells me I do all the time.:lmao:

Jacinda is the same way. If her and I have to work together we butt heads and she claims I ride her nonstop. If another adult asks her to do something, well later they tell me how much of an angel she is and how great she was working with them. :rotfl: Jacinda is really usually a great kid and I can't complain much at all but it is hard for me working with her on her school work. I was such an advanced student that it is really hard for me to grasp the idea that she does not learn things as fast. I think it boils down to I have to remember she is not me and I have to work at her speed.

The Mrs. Bennett Report
An Exposé For Readers Possessing Refined Senses and Cultured Dispositions

A few days ago, I promised photos of Mrs. Bennett, but first a few words for concerned readers who have wondered how she was settling into and enjoying her Chicago environs after her long and tedious journey from across the Pacific.

Mrs. Bennett arrived at Eastwood Manor on Thursday late in the day, after a journey of some 6 days via aeroplane and motorcar conveyances.

After disposing of her baggage and taking tea, she proclaimed that she was feeling quite refreshed. She insisted on a turn around the room before settling into her duties.

At these, her duties, she did not disappoint and embarked on them with much proficiency and efficiency giving nothing but the highest of satisfaction.

She immediately familiarised herself with the WiFi network, proclaiming that is was nothing to her, and she did not mind in the least talking with tradesmen.

Her current daily routine consists of advising the Eastwood Manor household of how many days are left until their ocean holiday. She also relates the news and weather to all who would turn a gentle ear, and is very fond of showing all some of her miniature portraits.

Mrs. Bennett, would like everyone who has been inquiring after her health to know that is has never been better, and on the whole, she is quite satisfied with the new position in life in which she finds herself.

And now the photos:

Mrs Bennett, displays one of the many photos that she pulls from a Flickr album on the Internet

(The reader will note in this photo that Mrs. Bennett is wearing a most whimsical yet tasteful earring.)

Mrs Bennett, advises the residents of Eastwood Manor as to how many days remain until the commencement of their oceanic holiday.

Mrs Bennett, prefers polite conversation and frequently talks about the weather. (This portrait will also provide the reader with some idea as to Mrs. Bennett's stature)

A rather saucy photo of Mrs. Bennett's posterior. The reader will note that she is nobly endowed, possessing two USB ports, stereo speakers and has the ability to support ear listening devices for quieter, contemplative moments of musical enjoyment.

It may be of great interest to some readers to view Mrs. Bennett's elegant and tasteful baggage.

And so dear reader, that is all there is to tell about Mrs. Bennett. She is a most welcome addition to Eastwood Manor.

She also asked that her warm regards be related to all of you, and wishes you enjoyment on your upcoming oceanic holiday.

:rotfl: VERY CUTE! :goodvibes

Holly's computer must have died. She has not posted at all for over a day. That's not like Holly. The last thing she posted was that her laptop was in need of repair.

I hope it works out for her and that she can get back on here. We'll miss her and she will miss us too.
 Well, by now you know that did indeed happen. At least I can get a tiny fix here at work, and will finish catching up Wednesday after Tyler goes to his dad's -- can use the public library computers.

Is there anyone here who can help me with directions for John to take the hire car from the terminal to the Budget depot? We have it on the map, and it looks easy, just out and south, but as he will be on his own I would like him to actually get there and back to me at the terminal and not off on a road to the Miami!!!:lmao:

the weather is back to being gorgeous here. This passed weekend it was extremely nice and very breezy. I can't believe we have only a little over two months! Amazing!

Holly, in my experience with the service dept at my store, it will be cheaper to buy a new laptop then a new LCD screen, unless you are still under warranty.
 YIKES! That's sort of what I was suspecting. Thanks for the head up! Nope, it's not under warranty anymore. I've had it since early 2004 and the warranty was only for 2 or 3 years. Bummer. I haven't had it looked at yet though. No time yet.

you mean you slammed Blake's door shut? e was kind of far away though wasn't he?
Yup. Not super far away, about an hour and a half, but a 3 hour round trip is too far for me when time is already so limited. Much better to find somebody in my own city. :thumbsup2

Well she is able to post all day from work still so I am sure she will be popping back in to chat in no time. The pages have been moving very slow on this thread this past week. Seems as if we all had to catch up on life and work for a bit. So maybe she is house cleaning or something. :confused3
HOUSE CLEANING?! :rotfl: That's a 4-letter word in my book! :lmao: Yup, I've been trying to post a bit yesterday and today while at work, but mainly just reading to catch up. Getting closer though! I think I'm on page 123. ;)
