Announcement from DCL - Government Taxes and Fees are increasing $5.00 per Mex. ports

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Folks

Just want to share the below info we received from DCL.

Dreams Unlimited Travel will be contacting clients that are affected by this to let them know if their cruise price is affected and adjustments will be made to your pricing over the next few weeks.

Only reservations that are currently paid in full are exempt from the increase. If your reservation is paid in full and you make a modification that results in a price change your taxes will be adjusted at that time as well.

This only affects cruises with a Mexican port-of-call that are not paid in full.

John

From DCL:

Quote:
Effective today, for NEW sailings commencing 7/1/08 and beyond that include a Mexican port of call, the Government Taxes and Fees are increasing $5.00 per Mexican port. The sailings affected are: 15-Night Eastbound Panama Canal, 7-Night Mexican Riviera, 7-Night Western Caribbean, 7-Night Western Caribbean with 2 calls at Castaway Cay and Costa Maya.

For existing reservations that are not paid-in-full, the Government Taxes and Fees will be adjusted over the next few weeks. Guests and Travel partners with existing reservations will be receiving a letter and an updated confirmation reflecting the change.

As a reminder, Government taxes and fees are subject to change and are mandated by the government.

Well all...

I have to hit the hay...

Pain level this week has been uncontrolable without serious meds... & I hate to have to stop driving the heavy equipment when I'm on them... ;)

Night all...

Especially... Maj...(your majesty...)

Michelle,

Sorry to hear about the pain. I hope you're better soon. Sending you some pixie dust :wizard:

Morning all - no time to catch up today........Have a great Day.

Tomorrow morning - I wish to log in and hear everyone has rooms.....

Sound like a plan?

Take care.

Just a quick "Good Morning". I actually slept 8 hours last night! :cool1: Well, there was a brief feed the kitten interruption, but I fell right back asleep. :thumbsup2

Still GTY here. I saw a post from someone who just had their stateroom assigned for their 11/30 cruise! :guilty: I'm thinking we may see a little action at the 60 day mark....or is that just wishful thinking?

....off to the shower....

Morning Jackie.

Allocation of staterooms seems very haphazard. There will be great rejoicing when we are allocated. We will have to have a party!!party:

Hey all - just thought I'd post a picture of the elusive Castaway Cay big fig. Consensus on another thread seems to be that it was delivered via Castaway Cay mail service - you know - the one that take 2-3 months to deliver a postcard. Goes to figure that a big item like this would take a whole whopping 8 MONTHS! :scared1:

Anyway, if anyone likes it - please be advised that supposedly this is only available in CC so if you want one - make sure you don't have any plans for the next 5-8 months. A friend got hers 3 months ago. But then again - she is in GA! Guess the other side of the continent just takes longer! :rotfl2: ;)

Whole Figurine (be aware - the figurines are NOT glued in - they are just placed on top)

That is soooo cute!!!

Does anyone know anything about Jacksonville, FL? Darrell has a real chance of being offered a transer there and we're curious what the area is like.

Goodmorning all, It's another sunny day that I'm sending your way! DD developed a 103 temp last night, so it was a long night checking her head and keeping her comfortable. Fortunately, I'm workin at home today.

FYI -- For those of you going to the DIS meet on April 19 at 4:00 at Disneyland Resort, Elton John will be in concert that night at the nearby Honda Center (formerly the Anaheim Pond).
This is part of Sir Elton's "Rocket Man, Number Ones" tour, in support of his latest album of the same name. It has hits that reached No. 1 on the charts (such as Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Bennie & the Jets, Daniel, Crocodile Rock, Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me). It's Sir Elton's only Southern California concert. Tickets went on sale today.Woody

OOOOO I sense a traffic nightmare!

FYI -- For those staying in L.A./Anaheim after the cruise, The Police and Elvis Costello will be at the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday, May 27.Sending out an S.O.S. . . . Woody

For all of you who have never been to the Hollywood Bowl, I highly recommend a visit there. It is a SoCal spectacular evening of picnic and fun.

We waitlisted alot too, but here's the sad part...I referred a family to our school and they were "no matched" I am on a non profit board with the dad..can we say akward:scared1:

OUCH, big awkward.

Good luck!! We just heard today that the school my daughters go to actually doesn't even have enough room at the kindergarten level for all the siblings of current students! I can't believe how crazy schools are getting anymore!!! Best of luck to you!!!!

Double ouch, that is why we are having such a hard time getting in too. And we are teachers there.

Bad MIL week. She was set to leave for Betty Ford today, but blew it and ended up elsewhere (yes you can read between the lines)

Very sorry to hear that... half surprised, half disappointed? Fully frustrated:mad:

Hi Lisa, My brother's home base is Jacksonville and he loves it there, but he's a Florida person. I love to visit, but I couldn't live there year round because I need seasons. I have stayed overnight there a number of times as I John and I were passing thru on our way to cruise and world. We overnight there and meet my brother for dinner. It's a beautiful typical Florida city on the water. It's the Atlantic not the Gulf. Which I like better because I grew up on Long Island with the Atlantic ocean. I know it's a nice place to visit and my brother likes living there.

I've never been to San Diego, but from what I know about it, it's probably a lot like Jacksonville. As Noel would say, just my thoughts.

Need to catch up...but remembered that we were supposed to send a pm to Linda for the mini navs....what were we supposed to tell her???

Jacksonville is a nice area in North Fl on the East Coast.....you are close to St Augustine there as well.

3 times would be great!
Whatever would be offered Jacinda would be there. Although I have no idea what they are giving my daughter for homework. My school does not allow the paperwork to be turned in until two weeks before the dates of missed schooling. I have told the teacher but he did not hint at what the homework would be. I figured I would press for more info in April.

Hi Sandra! Welcome back! Not sure if someone already posted, or if you caught it yet but the teams have been set up. You can contact any of the team leaders, or if the team doesn't have a team leader, contact any of the members of the team and see if they need help. Alternatively, if any team needs help, please feel free to PM Disney Rock and ask her to join! Is it possible Marr to copy the teams and its members to the first page so people don't need to search for it? As soon as I get the final names for the lanyard team, PJ can you update it on the website? I think Kelly was going to finalize that team soon. Thanks!
Lisa

OK I will update the first post with fish teams as soon as I find the post the had them in it, LOL. I will update it with the lanyard teams listing as soon as Kelly posts a full list of all who donated as well. :thumbsup2

I have a dance studio and teach ballet, tap, acrobatics, jazz and Ukrainian dancing. I have my studio in our basement and have small classes. Was interested when I saw your posting.

My sister owns a dance studio in Riverside, CA. They teach tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. It is a time consuming endeavor, that is for sure!

Great! How old is Jacinda?
