So glad you have each other!

oh of course, it's just so strange for someone who doesn't live like this to understand.

Today we met with her therapist. It was good, but also very sad. We had our behaviour of sparing the kids from her reinforced. That was a big saving issue for me. I have been feeling guilt over keeping the kids from her (they can't be with her alone or overnight) I just don't feel safe with that. The sad info was that she concluded that MIL isn't ready to change and that there is a real risk that she could be sucessful at suicide. That is down right scary. But there is nothing that we can do other than rescue her in the moment.

People not living it find it hard to understand the way enabling happens as an attempt to avoid unpleasantries. It is a difficult situation for everyone involved.

I am glad the therapist agreed with your decision to protect the kids. Your parenting instincts are very good.

Hopefully you printed the ressies with Palo on them. If so, call DCL, you can fax them proof that you had them and they should reinstate them. If you did not print it out you are *OL.

one year when Wil was little, maybe 3 he dressed up as Spiderman and Paul thought it would be nice for him to dress up as Green Gobby... Wilson saw his dad in costume and would not let him come out of the bathroom, he was too scared....the mask had to get stuck behind the toilet for the night, so that Paul could join our ongoing Halloween Party with 50 guests!!!!

Oh no too funny! Hey though the green goblin is pretty scary though.

Speaking of Palo ressies...way back when I put our name on a list with Noel for brunch in the private dining room. I'm not sure where that "list" went to but now that we have our Palo's ressie, we're going to stick with that and ask to have our name removed from the list...the problem is, I don't know who the keeper of that list. Anyone know?

I think for the moment, PJ is watching after that list.
