Michelle, I'll be staying off, as I'm linked with a 'newbie' and don't want to inadvertently lock her out. But lots of the CC people were unable to get on at all and are going to want to take a shot at possible new openings for excursions/Palo that were sold out when they finally did get on. I really think it won't be anywhere near as many people that tried at 90 days though. If it were me, I'd focus on excursions first, as it seems Palo is easier to arrange once you are on the ship.

thanks Jackie.. I'm sure that I will have plenty of company tomorrow night... I will just stock up on the sugar, caffeine and play soothing new age music to calm my nerves or until I fall asleep... ;)

I agree!

I think she might just be young, although the question on the youtube thread about going through puberty was odd...

Lisa

Lisa... you need to get a hobby...you're beginning to stalk GG!!! :rotfl:

I'm sorry Karen. We will wave to you from the potium(sp) of winners :yay:

& I'll be in the back :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: for the winners since it certainly won't be me... :rotfl:

jiminy is your mascot....

Watch out... he may make you recycle your way around the ship!!!

Holly - just wanted you to know that your right to a point. It seems that DS while we fight like cats and dogs, knows that while dad (and we're together still) is the one to be friends and there with $$ when it comes to talking things out - he comes to me. He is now 21 and I can always tell when he wants to tell me something. I usually just sit there and nod my head - its nice to know that he feels he can talk to me about things but let me tell you - there were a few conversations where I was going :scared1: and

However, I always made it a point to be pretty blunt about things and also told them if you don't want to talk to me - talk to your aunts and uncles. Just talk to someone. DS does - there have been times when he comes into our bedroom wanting to talk and we can go for hours. However, one little kneejerk reaction and he flounces out. So you do have to be careful - just find a way as they get older to let them know that your there although you may not always approve of what their actions are.

We just had a talk on Thursday night about his girlfriend situation - he was asking me how to end things with her. :scared1: Can you believe it? He had the nerve to stick me in the dog pile role!!!

But my point is - kids will appreciate you and there is hope - I always feel so much better after our talks - something that DH and he can NEVER share. Those are my moments! :goodvibes

I have 5 kids in my family...all nieces and nephews... I'm the Aunt that never got married so they think of me as a peer than an adult... I'm the one who they call when they want to talk... Not many Aunts have that... I know that I am truely blessed and know that I will always have a good relationship with all of them.. :grouphug:

ok, I've got mine, I'll leave you alone...this time...good luck virgins :scared1:

Thanks Nan... If I get nothing... can I come and hang out with you???

:cheer2: Marr, congratulations on 1,000 posts! :cheer2:

.

Oh My Gosh!!!!! Thanks so much! Did you know I came to this thread (the original one) with say 30 posts total? I have done all my blabbering to you all. I am so glad to have found this thread and gotten over my fear of talking to strangers! I feel so very lucky to be going on such a special cruise with even more special people. I love that even though we come from all over the place and from such different family backgrounds we can connect. We have a common bond through our love of Disney, the parks, the cruise lines, our families and this trip specifically. I have made some wonderful new friends and look forward to making more as the days gone on.

OK enough of my speech we have bonded and now you are stuck with me for better or worse! :flower3:

I have been looking for a few cute jewelry sets to wear with my dresses for dinner. I bought these the other day and they came in the mail today. I tried them on and I really love them! Another happy ebay ending. :lovestruc

I love fish, I collect fish ornament for toilet as I have it from all over the world!! My friend thought I am mad!!

One of our bathrooms is decorated in under the sea stuff. As I unpacked after our move to this condo, anything that was related to DCL, FINDING NEMO, LITTLE MERMAID, etc that could go in the bathroom did. I have some cruise photos on the wall also.

This Morning, I was laughing when I opened the birthday card from my brother, it said Sister, I've planned a fun-filled cruise in the Mediterranean for your birthday, when I opened it and it said Can you water my plants while I'm away? with a cat dressed up tropical!!

Look like my family know I love Disney Cruise, :rolleyes1

Anyway, today is my birthday, and I am going out with my 7 friends for lunch then go to bar for champagne.:thumbsup2 :dance3:

I will be out all day until tonight.:)

Scottishwee35:flower3:

What a funny card!! :rotfl2:

Hoping you had a good celebration!

Jan :earsgirl:

. . . do you know if you just pick the wines you want, or do they chose for you?

. . . Also, do you think if you just want 1 type of wine that you can just get all your bottles the same??
You get to pick the wine, and can have all the same if you like.

Woody

Ian,

Thanks, I'll give it a look. I'm never sure which is better bringing your own and paying the cork charges or buying the package.
On the 2005 PC cruise, we bought the wine package for convenience.

Woody

LOL we already have a club going for that! Right Nan and Steph! I'm sure we will not be hard to find.

Club, mom on vacation...check!

Alrighty, I am dressed and made up...off to the auction. I don't wear makeup except for special occasions..and how sad is it, that at 39 years old, still don't know if I am wearing it correctly. I don't like getting it done at the make up counter, cause it always seems way too heavy. Oh well, not like I'm impressing anyone...

Have a great night...post tomorrow after I'm get up.

Steph

I like the bathroom, Jan. Every room in our house has something Disney somewhere. Some rooms more, some just a bit. Makes me smile when I see it. :goodvibes

Off to do a bit of :laundy: then try to find something to feed DrHug for dinner. He is coming down with a cold (hopefully cold and not that awful flu) so he is napping.

DS, DDIL and DGS are headed to Anaheim tonight from their home in Lancaster. I got them a Priceline Hilton Suites room for $45 for the night. They plan on DL tomorrow. Weather report sounds like they will be doing DL in the rain, but they spent many years in Oregon so that should not slow them down!

Laura,

The Take what you can/Give nothing back, call and response started with the DDD Geeks on the 12/09/06 cruise. Todd (Disney Vegas or Dirty Vegas as I call him), was the starter of that and he took it with him onto the WB TA and your EB Pan Can, cruises

Angie and Dennis are original members of the DDD Geeks and it is now part of them, they can't give it up, lol.

Pj

PJ - OK call me dense but I first heard it from Todd and put it off to his eccentrices (is that even a word?), he explained how it started in the dining room on a cruise. Then when I realized it came from the film - I just had to laugh - shows you how much I pay attention to movies huh? The worst part - my oldest DD is a POC fanatic and just looked at me and  - saying - Mom! Your hopeless!

I guess this isn't going to be a nice, calm relaxing cruise is it? :rotfl:

I'm off to watch "Amazing Grace". I may (or may not) check in w/ you later. If not - have a good evening. I'm meeting w/ Mary (Tigger137) and DH Patrick for breakfast tomorrow at Whispering Canyon. Only other plan for tomorrow is dinner w/ my cousins from Argentina (they came back from Miami for the weekend - heading back to Argentina later this week). Will check in btwn meals.

... I've never seen anyone kicked out of the dining room for wearing shorts. Now Palo's, that's a different story!

I was most shocked when we were having lunch in Lumiere's (yes I know they have a relaxed dress policy for lunch) but this woman walked in wearing a VERY revealing swimsuit - ok - floss suit) and a tunic that wasn't a tunic - more like a fishnet WITH VERY BIG HOLES. Have to admit - it was a bit distracting. I ended up moving to have my back to her. She was big but come one - we had a kid at the table with us!

MMMMM......Elephant Bar is one of our all time faves!

ROTFL - just went there with the girls - DD had the Honey Mustard Chicken Salad with no balsamic dressing and ranch instead of Honey Mustard - other dd had the chicken tender platter and I had the Shrimp and Chicken firepot. We also decided to do appetizers instead of the Fudge Fudge brownie - I'm regretting that decison. Too many nachos!

BTW, I did warn you guys I have a warped sense of humor?

I learned about a great Italian restaurant from another Disser in Huntington Beach called Mangia Mangia at Goldenwest and Edinger - it's our new favorite! :hippie:

OK - this may be far from you but have you ever heard of Marino's? It's a quaint Italian Restaurant right off the 91 and Bellflower Blvd? Ever see the advertising for the Jeep dealer on the left if your coming from DL? Well its on the right - one block in. Its on a corner - I've been going there since I was 14/15. Um, some ok - some time ago. Anyway, its small and quaint and has the best salad and minestrone soup. DH loves the pizza - I like the sausage and peppers. All my kids have like it - OMG! Just realized I've been going there since before they were born - :scared1:. Anyway, they usually have a fair size crowd on the weekends. They are across the street from some Bellflower Music Store. If your ever bored and want to explore - I would recommend it. The bread is always good but we prefer our with just the butter on it. Hope I enticed you to try it! :)

Steph

I hope you have a great time! Our school has a silent auction and dinner this coming April. They are holding it at the country club I belong to and it is $40 a person just to get in to the auction. It does cover a dinner buffett but still. I really think doing it that way excludes people. If a couple wants to go that is $80 plus the cost of a sitter.
I know a lot of parents have told me they are not going. A few have been speaking out asking for more affordable PTO events. I am going to go to the auction as it helps the school and I can use the clubs childcare since I am a member :thumbsup2 but then I feel as if I have choosen "sides" in the struggle to pick PTO events for our school. :confused3

edited to add: Our school is offering limo rides to the event for $10 a ticket from the school to the club. I find that odd but hey thats just me!

Hmm maybe looking for a "boyfriend" seems like all the 13 year olds on myspace claim to be 17 nowadays.
On a serious note, parents should monitor their kid's internet activities and encourage safe practices.

There are predators out there, and, sadly, myspace has only recently started to block sex offenders from its site. CNN ArticleOnMySpace
