Sorry to steal the thunder Deedee but I wanted to tell you all about my interesting experience yesterday...
Parlimentary elections are coming up, and I am stuck with leafleting stuff for the conservative party. I would love to tell you why, but it's regarded as "Top Secret" around here.. LOL
So anyhoo, I was leafleting around the most horrible place in our local comunity, ironically where my school is (
), and a lot of things happened... Here is a list:
1) Nearly got run over on a small road
2) Had Chavs Stare at us several times as we delivered stuff
3) Had Dogs bark as I posted in the letterbox, and so the immediate reaction is to run off!
4) Had Children talk to me as I posted in the letterbox, and so likewise the reaction is to run off! (LOL, only kidding!)
5) Saw a possible break-in case, where a panel of glass was smashed on the door as I went to the post slot on the door. I just slowly backed away and walked on..
6) Saw lovely houses that were close to a flyover, and had the smells and sounds of cars all day..
7) Went to the same house twice by accident...
8) Went past a house which I thought said "Ghost House" on the front, naturally I was spooked!
9) Several cases of "Where the hell is the letterbox"? On one place it was so run down I said I couldn't be bothered. Also, me and DBGF were puzzled as to how to deliver to flats..
10) Heard scrabbling on one of the doors as I went past.. Dog, Cat, or person wanting to escape?
11) As we went to one house, a guy came to the door naked!
And to top it all off..
12) We saw several black cats... On friday the thirteenth!
After that experience I think I lost fifteen pounds, and not in a good way!
We did try to make it fun with several little pieces of humor along the way.... Like on one house I gave up so put the leaflet under the flap on his bin! To be honest, I was saving him a trip!!!! 
P.s. Just a note to everyone here. Do NOT get those weird black furry things for your postbox. They are a menance to post stuff in!
