There seem to have been a lot of shootings the last week or so. A lot of college shootings, and now this.

CNN just confirmed there are 3 dead. They don't know if that includes the shooter or not. So sad!

Incredibly sad. Apparently the victims were young people. I will never understand why anyone in this country other than law enforcement needs a gun. Too many thousands killed every year for no reason.

While I am not sure about the University of SC shooting the rest this week have been targeted shootings, not mass shootings, so why people in a state of panic? On average roughly 289 people are shot each day in the US, but there are also a lot of people stabbed and assaulted with hammers or other such objects. Just because the media decided this was a "big" story does not make it so.

Seriously? When is the last time there were multiple deaths by hammer?!!

I'm not a gun person and don't understand the passion for them. However, I understand it is a right in this country. I'd at least like to see some kind of frequent registration and licensing requirement that takes into account the owner's mental health.
