Has anyone taken the Marcoline to Magic Kingdom tour? How many people do they allow on it? Is it fun and do you recommend it?

When were you planning to go? I'm doing this tour on monday so can report on it when I get back. :)

We did this tour in 2012, and we were blown away. The highlight for us was the extensive backstage segment on HM. It is our favorite attraction and just that alone would be worth the price of admission. We booked it not knowing we'd love it that much. It's very reasonably priced, and it doesn't consume a big chunk of time.

The CM was great, and even after 50+ visits to WDW, we learned some new stuff. I think there were only about 8 people total on the tour. I think most "civilians" (i.e. non Disney geeks) don't even know what Marcelline is so it doesn't draw large numbers of people.

I've recommended this tour many times, and I don't think any of our fellow Dis-ers came away disappointed. You'll want to make note of any age restrictions on tours. Several of them require a minimum of 16 yrs. old. :earsboy:

After reading lots of good reviews for Marceline to MK, I went ahead and booked it for next month. Can't wait! As for the number of people, IPO told me this tour maxes out at 20, so it's a pretty intimate experience.

I want to do this tour, but it looks like they are not offering it any day the week we are there...Dec 14-21st. No times available. Guess the guides are taking a week off.

Anyone know if you can take a camera on the tour with you? I know some of the tours you can't. We really are not planning on taking pictures but DH carries his DSLR with him all the time.

We took this tour a few years ago. Right before Snow White ride closed. We could take pictures anywhere since nothing was behind the scenes. We rode the Snow White ride before park opening with the lights on and since we knew it was closing real soon we took a bunch of pictures.
We also had narrated COP and Peoplemover rides in Tomorrowland. And a big description of the new fantasyland which was still behind the walls. Loved being in there when no one else was there. Just walking around with a cup of coffee while we were waiting for the tour to start.
I was wondering if it had changed much. Like the idea learning about Haunted Mansion. Can anyone describe the new tour. We might take it again this fall if it's enough different.
Thanks.

We took this tour earlier this month and loved it. You got to see the park empty and they even gave us an opportunity to take pics in front of the castle before the park opened up. We were the first ones on the Haunted Mansion and the highlight of the whole tour for me was the behind the scenes look at the HM. We also rode Winnie the Pooh, learned about the murals in the tunnel of cinderella's castle and learned a ton of interesting info about the COP as we rode it. We were able to take pictures throughout the tour except when we went behind the scenes at the HM. They even threw in a free water. I thought the tour was excellent and well worth the money. As a poster noted above the tour size is small so if you are leaning towards the tour i would reserve. One of the days for us was sold out and we had to pick an alternate date (i called about 4 weeks prior to our trip).

I am so excited to read all the positive posts on this thread because I am taking this tour on August 15th and now I really cannot wait :woohoo:

Excellent tour, on the recommendation of Micca above (thanks again, Ron). I have taken 11 or 12 of the various tours, this one was excellent (actually, I think they are all good). And one of the lower priced tours at that. And don't forget the discounts....AP, DVC, AAA (sometimes) 15%, Disney Visa 20%.

We did this tour last December and had a great time. We were permitted to take photos through most of the tour. If memory serves, the only time we couldn't was when we were backstage (which was awesome, btw).

This tour is pretty good. How good the tour is really depends on your guide. The backstage peek at HM is cool. The guide also narrates during portions of COP, so you get to see some of the details of that attraction in a more intimate way. Overall, I'd say it's worth the price and the experience.
