March Check-In Thread!

Wooohoooo, all our days are on the calendar now! Surprised that it is all 8 am openings (comparing to last year's calendars) but hoping that means we will have productive mornings at rope drop!

What Disney planning are y'all up to today?

No planning going on here today.
The only things left to buy are park tickets and reserve/pay for shuttle from/to the airport.
Ever since learning about the 20% cash back on tickets from Orbitz last year, I've been holding out for that. However, the next payout on Ebates is on the 15th, so I may go ahead and buy the tickets from cheaptickets to get the 6.88% if Orbitz doesn't change before then. I want to be able to use the money I saved on tickets for a meal or something so that's my way of justifying it haha. Either that or put it towards PP+ since I mentioned it to my DH and he thinks it's too much money. That's my silly indecisiveness! In the end it's not much money (about $25 from just the tickets) but hey, better than nothing.

Hey, every little bit of money saved lets you do something else fun, that is my mantra! I am so indecisive about everything. I may change hotels for the 4th time today. I have to decide which days we are doing what (Jedi, Frozen stuff at DCA) because, um, we will be wearing themed shirts, LOL.

I am with you, we are trying to sort out the best time to buy ourselves. Do we hold out hope for a 10%-20% cash back or go ahead and get the 6.88% back? I am also trying to figure out if the rumored ticket price increase will eat up a big chuck of the cash back if it doesn't end up going to 20%. I should probably just assume that what ever decision I make the end result will go the opposite way. :jester:

haha exactly!! The supposed ticket price increase is another factor. Too many imaginary balls up in the air over these tickets!

ha! That's awesome. You sound like me lol

I just went ahead and bought...I may regret it if they do the 20%, but the tickets price increase freaked me out so I just went with cheap tickets. The weather here has been in the low 60s for the past couple of days and its making me long to be in Cali! I hope the rest of this month goes as fast as this week has for me!

We want to move our trip up a week (will save us money!) but I already bought our tickets through cheap tickets...and no answer to if we have to use it on the dates specified or not. I don't understand why would have to...but it feels like a risk since we don't have an answer...

I would call them. It is likely fine!

Yep we are good! Just need to get the ok from DH's work (shouldn't be an issue) and we will be going a whole week sooner...22 days to be exact! I booked a different hotel and got our Minnie breakfast rescheduled but I'm going to wait to cancel everything until we get the ok from his job. :)

That's exciting! And yay for saving money. You'll have to come back and tell us about the progress on the castle and closures and all that (not) fun stuff lol.

Weeee! We'll be in SoCal from March 20 - 29 and spending 3 days in Disney March 25, 26 and 27. Me and DW's second time, and first time for my DS2, sis and parents too. Still waiting for our days in the calendar:)

It's official! Leaving in 3 weeks from today! Wohoo! :) The park isn't open as long during the week, but I figure that is a trade off for it being less busy. The park closes at 8, but I figure with a 3 year old that probably works out perfectly.

We are staying at the Anaheim plaza and I can't decide between 2 queens or 1 king. Our son almost always ends up in our bed with us, so I'm leaning towards the king bed...but it might be nice to have one of us sleep with him while the other sleeps in their own bed.

Booked our FDP at BB. I have to re-arrange some stuff because it was mostly sold out already, but at least it is done. I hoped for a 4 pm reservation to up our chances of a waterside table, praying they let us wait for one with a later reservation!

Looks like the calendar is finally updated with our dates (Mar 18-21). DL will be open until midnight every night of our trip. That is great for us since we aren't early risers/rope drop kind of people. :teeth: Also looks like we get fireworks and Fantasmic every night (not that we want to watch them every night but hopefully those will pull some of the crowds away from some of the rides).

I'm stoked DL will be open til midnight! That means we won't be so rushed to fit everything in since we are only planning two park days.

Just decided to book a trip to CA yesterday (for a wedding). The wedding is in Palm Springs, but I'll be spending the rest of the time with family and friends in Long Beach... Which means I get at least one DL day - March 13! Going with my Mom and Dad who will be there for the wedding. Before I even booked my flight, I had already made us a lunch reservation at CA Adventure (priorities). I'm sad that my fiancé is unable to come due to his work schedule, but he'll come out next time when we can spend more than just a day at DL!

Thinking of going once more before I head home, but I'll have to see. I'm excited just to spend one day there! This is the shortest I've ever had to wait for a Disney trip. 33 days to go!
