March Check-In Thread!

My son started throwing up this morning and all I can think is...so glad it's now and not during our trip. hahaha probably stupid because he can get sick then too! Been a fun morning over here.
We have limited hours for our trip. 10-8 for the disney parks. but we are doing 4 days, so I think it's still plenty of time. It actually kind of forces us to go back early which I think should help us get ready for the next at the park. It also means they expect it to be less busy so hopefully we don't have as long of waits for rides. I am now having dreams about disneyland which makes me wake up in the night with butterflies. Last night all I remember was we took our son on Dumbo. I haven't been on that ride since I was a kid! I think it's going to be hard to decide who gets to ride the rides with our son because both of us are so excited to take him!

As stated earlier, March Fantasmic dinner packages are up. I had to call as my iPad kept kicking me out before I could reserve. We got March 15th at 5:10pm for a party of three at Blue Bayou. It was the last of my planning, now I can relax and count the days. The times seemed to be flying off the board, so book now!

Sounds like us - we had the notice on Thursday that pink eye was going through his class, and I discovered him at 4am sitting in the bathroom sink so he could look in the mirror to study his eye which was swollen, goopy, and very red. Sigh. Fortunately the prescription we picked up first thing this morning seems to be working already, so hopefully we'll have a short quarantine.

We're waking up with Disney dreams and butterflies, too! I'm so excited...I think I'm going to start packing this week! :rotfl:

Hope the sickies get all out of their systems before you leave!! That would be a bummer to be sick at Disneyland!!

If you click "View Daily Schedule" on the official calendar, the show times for both parks will be listed.

I'm so excited to see Fantasmic! on this trip, it wasn't showing when we were there last.
I fell in love with it as a teenager when we took a band trip to Disneyland. We had a special clinic and got to play and record snippets of the score. I bought the soundtrack and listened to it regularly after that trip. That's when I fell in love with Disney :lovestruc Sadly that cd got lost somewhere. I wonder if they still sell it at Disneyland...

I have never even seen DL's Fantasmic. We tried to wait once and my kids were just too little to hang that long and that late so I am very excited!

I think the Disneyland Fantasmic soundtrack is available used on Amazon if you want to recapture the memories. :)

We love fantasmic. I think they usually include the score on the park CD. We have bought one the last two times we went and it has been on there. I don't think we will try to do it this trip...not sure how late we will be at the parks with the little guy. I think we might try to do the Pixar play parade since those are my son's favorite movies.
Today is just dragging for me. I bet it's going to be like this for the next 2 and a half weeks. Wish I had more things going on that kept me busy!!

You won't be disappointed. It is much better than the WDW version and since the Mark Twain is running, so they can do the full show (it wasn't running in the fall so they did the closing on Tom Sawyer's Island instead of the boat).

It is! Thanks for the idea, I never even thought to look there.

New here :)

Headed to DL March 1st-3rd, then a day at Legoland. Pretty bummed about all the closures & castle, but it's the only time we can go, so it is what it is. We got a great deal at GCH (I think...) & then will surprise the boys with the kingdom room at LL.

Hi all,
I myself, my wife and my 4 DD's ages 8, 6, 5, and 3 will be in Southern California March 27th - April 5th. (To which I am especially excited because my two youngest ones have hit the milestone 40 inches and can ride most of the big rides that neither could on our last visit.) One day at Six Flags Magic Mountain, one day as a relax/beach day and 6 days at Disneyland!!!! I plan on buying my tickets online and printing them out, but when I went on yesterday to do a price check, they only offer up to a 5 day ticket. I need a 6 day ticket, any advise on what I should do about this? I am a big time planner so I prefer to purchase in advance, but if I must buy at the gate, will we still get an early magic morning? I know it says that tickets purchased in advance get them, not sure how buying them at the gate would work. Thanks everyone!!!

Unfortunately DL does not do 6 day tickets, only 5 day, so you would need to buy an extra day separately. I think someone had figured out that it was actually more cost effective to buy an AP but I haven't done the math so I can't say if that is true or not.

Hi, sorry I've kinda disappeared from this thread! Our dates are STILL not up on the calendar yet, last week in March....waiting..... Hoping they'll be up any day now!

Also, we were wondering (and I know there was a thread about this but there wasn't an answer on it) if anyone knew if the Baymax meet and greet would be returning. We don't usually do character meet and greets but our whole family is in LOVE with Baymax and we'd love to get the chance to do that.

I was sad when they took away the 6 day ticket option. We did 6 days last trip, and in a busy time frame, it really let us see and explore without feeling rushed. :(.

I too am hoping that they bring back Baymax and Hiro...until that thread I didn't know they had gone away! I see that Thor and Captain America are meeting now, the schedule just says in Tomorrowland...i wonder if they are in the same location where Baymax was? If so, we won't see them again, I am guessing. :(

Yeah, we were there for a week in October and I wish we had the 6 day option. It worked out ok for us because the Wednesday of that week was the cast member Halloween party so DL was closed at 6 anyway. We used that day as our pool, DTD, Goofy's Kitchen day and it worked out well, but if the parks were going to be open late it would have been nice to have had an extra day to spend in the parks.
