March 6, 2011 Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder

For anybody going to DCA I highly recommend seeing World of Color. If you are going to see WoC I suggest preordering the Picnic meal online. Go to Diseyland.com and under tickets is a place to order. for $14.99 you get a wonderful cold meal, drink (soda or water), a tote bag and a ticket to the show. If you don't do this your other options are to rush to the fastpass and hope you get tickets to the same show time and section or order a $40 meal at a sit down resturant. The Alidden show at DCA is also not to be missed!

I'm an AP at the park and go often. If anybody wants tips on seeing DLR just ask.

I'm so sorry I forgot to give our names/ages. Carolyn (52) Scott (51).

Also celebrating my Bday and 31 years of magical sunsets together.

Also, we're thinking of a day pass but now maybe an overnight in Cabo at Dreams, Royal Solaris or Barcelo. Does anyone have any experience with these in Cabo?

Tinkfour, I have read other reviews, and you have to be careful about overnighting in Cabo. The tender process has not been good, and if they don't run the tenders on the second day, you could be stuck in Cabo.

Thanks PansTinkerBell for the great tip about WOC! If anyone else has tips like that, keep them coming!! :yay:

Alltheparks- We weren't really going to stay overnight in Cabo I just thought it may be more cost effective to book a room and get all the perks as "guests" rather than buy a day pass. But the day passes are more reasonable than I thought. So far only Dreams has e-mailed me back but they quoted me : "The cost for the day pass is 89 USD per person, from 8 to 10 pm and the half day pass, from 9 am to 5 pm cost 59 USD per person." Children 6 and under are free.

We are AP holders also..I love them...we go about 3-4 times a month sometimes more...I am also here for anyone that needs advice about the parks..Panstinkerbell do you go often to DLR...:)

I got my cruise docs (spiral notebook) in the mail the other day. :cool1:

We got our documents today too. WOW! Impressive! That notebook was like a free souvenir! I really can't contain my excitement anymore.

LESS THAN A MONTH TO GO!

Got ours middle of last week. Interesting thing is that our port times keep changing. The second Cabo day departure time is different online today than in the book. But, oh well, we're going and that's what's important. Very excited too!

I was just wondering if anyone booked excursions through non dcl companies I was looking at a few but didn't know which one to go through...TIA

We still have not received our cruise docs. We are leaving in 3 weeks! :thumbsup2 Wow so much to do. I work full time, I am the cookie mgr for our girl scout troop and we are right in the middle of cookie season with booths almost every night. It ends on Feb 28th and all paperwork is due March 3rd so I am so ready for this cruise.:cheer2:

believe79 I am using Puerto Vallarta Tours and Cabo San Lucas Tours they get very good reviews. They are both owed by Johann and Sandra a husband and wife team.

I am also planning to use http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/ and http://www.puertovallartatours.net/ but have not decided what to do. I will be booking tours this weekend.. Since we live in LA we wont be doing any water sports or whale watching thing but inside see the city and other land excursions.

I have a party of 5 including myself.. 4 adults and 1 child...(2 adults are seniors) ...

Can you let me know what you have booked? just to get an idea..

I am booked under the agent rate for this cruise and had a question. Do we have classes to attend while on the ship? I read that somewhere else but was never told about it. I really wouldn't mind espcially for the great price but would like to be prepared.

Nope. There is an AEP going on the Wonder this week (the classes are running from about 8-10 am, held in AP) but this was just an agent offer.

Do we really not go ashore in Cabo the first day (3/10) until 11:15? I ask because there is a great sightseeing tour available through Cabosanlucastours but it apparently starts at 9:30? I guess it wouldn't be an option then.

Thats my predicament too. We also wanted to do the tour which starts at 9:30 am but thats impossible now :-( I am still debating and planning on what to do in Cabo. Since we live in LA we are not into the water activities like whale, seal watching and coastal cruises..we want to see the city and do land tours.

By the way I just booked the city tour ( city, tequila, tropical) tour at PV on the same PV site i mentioned in my post.. It will be a 5 hr tour starting at 10 am.... Let me know and we can coordinate as it seems we have the same taste :-))
