March 31 2013 4 day Bahama cruise

I've been reading about FEs too. I'd love to hear from people that have done FEs before on what has (or hasn't) worked for them. It's such a fun concept, I can't wait to see it in action.

I think it is up to you whether you would like to do one gift per cabin or include something for everyone in the cabin.
We don't have a schedule of delivery. We usually deliver ours when we have time.
My girls really enjoy this. We have done it on quite a few cruises now. They love coming back to the room with something in the fish extender.
My PM now works. I did receive some emails and am compiling the list.
On one of the cruises we went on , we had a dis meet on the first day. This worked out really good. We were able to meet everyone and the kids were able to meet each other. Let's keep this mind as the sailing gets closer.
Right now I have 5 cabins on the list. Hoping to get more.
Can wait for the cruise. We received about 6 inches more of snow last night.

My family will be on this cruise also and we are very excited! I wanted to comment on the FE in case this is helpful to anyone. What has not worked well for me with FEs in the past is taking my DH shopping with me!!! He is so frugal/stingy/cheap :sad2: that I have always been a bit embarrassed by our FE gifts, so we won't be participating this year. I will probably buy things for our kids and put them in our FE when they aren't there. Same result for them, but much fairer to the rest of you. :goodvibes

I did want to mention a few things we got before that were really nice. On our last cruise, two people gave us CDs with music (fortunately different songs) that reminded them of DCL. We loved them. We also got a trip diary that looked like a life vest on the outside. It had pages for each day of your trip to record your memories. We also received a cruise emergency kit - which was a ziploc bag with band aids, clothes hanger and other essentials you may have left behind, but still need. We also received a note pad/box with the name of our ship and the date of our cruise. We've received coloring books and crayons and personalized pens, as well as magnets and personalized message boards. Somewhere on the DIS board are pictures of previous FEs. If you're searching for more ideas, check it out.

That's too bad that you will not be able to participate in the fish extenders. My girls always look forward to this. To me it doesn't matter the cost of the gifts, it is the thought. My daughters love the little things.

I agree...I'd happily take your "frugal/stingy/cheap" FE gift if that would allow your children to join in on the fun.

For what it's worth, as people plan their FE gifts, Ann & I live in different households (states even) so we'll both be providing FE gifts.

Hope to see more people join our Fish Extender! This is going to be such fun!

I guess I will participate because my kids do love it! They also love passing out our gifts. I will just try and go shopping without him this year! :) Do I need to send our cabin information to someone?

Thanks! So looking forward to this cruise!

Your so funny. :rotfl2:
You can message me your information.
Good luck.
Can't wait to meet everyone on the cruise.

I can't message you my information. Did you mean in the forum?

See page 4, post #59 for Tracey's email address. I tried posting it here but I couldn't...DISboards restricts the ability to post or private message an email address unless you've posted at least 10 times. I need to do more posting! :)

I like the idea of trying to meet on the first day!
We were teased with mid 50's temps over the weekend and today it's back in the 20's. Disney Dream take me away! :beach:

Thanks Scott. I received you email. We have 6 cabins signed up so far. Our family is getting excited for the cruise. Not to much longer.

I was just looking at some of things from our past cruises. I realized we never named our cruise. I think we should come up with a creative name. We could even put something with Easter in it.

I've never tried to name a cruise before. Sounds fun!

Here are a few ideas:

Easter Dreamin'

Where Easter Dreams Come True

Colorful Dreams & Easter Eggs

And (the not-so-serious suggestion) for anyone who has ever seen The Good Witch with Catherine Bell: I Will Not Dream of Bunnies!

Also, for anyone in the FE...are there any allergies we should know about?

Sheri

I love them all. How about Easter Dreamin' What does everyone else think.
Not many more days....

I have 6 cabins so far in the fish extender gift exchange. Hoping to get more. Does anyone else have any suggestions on naming our cruise.

I like the Easter Dreamin' that is cute :) Ok since we are new to FE do you usually wait to pick up things until you find out who you have an ages or start grabbing stuff now? I am a planner so rather do it now lol. Our cruise is getting close and soooo excited :cool1:

Lets go with Easter dreamin I really like that one. I have 7 cabins so far. I started to put my things together. I don't like to put it off either.
