to the crew!!! How old is your DD going to be on the cruise?
We (DH & I) did a 3n cruise in Dec to check it all out (dream to nassau and CC). Loved it and rebooked while on OB for march 2013. As January of this year brought us closer to this year's spring break we wanted so badly to do it this year, so we last minute planned a cruise for this spring break as well. We'll be on the magic 3/17 this year (our spring break moves to a week later next year). So this march will be our kids first cruise ever and our first one for anything longer than 3-4n. We did a 4 nighter on RCL about 7 years ago and at that time thought cruising wasn't for us. After our DCL trip in dec we are excited to start cruising with our kids. We've done lots of WDW the past several years.
I Should I wear an old formal not fluffy but long prom dress (sparkly) or should I wear a cute, classy skirt i have with heels and simple blouse with pretty jewelry?
Thanks! (so this is a two part question i guess... me for formal night and kids for casual wear dining nights)
The formal would be good for formal night and the other would be great for semiformal night. My son has always worn khakis/long pants and a polo or button down shirt for the other nights, sometimes with one of his ties. He has a collection. He wears a suit jacket & tie both formal nights. DD loves to dress up every night. I don't get much opportunity to dress up around here, so I do as well. DH pretty much wears polos/khakis for the casual nights.
Tell them they can wear dinner clothes for 2 hours -- long enough for pictures and dinner, then they can change back into shorts for the club/show.![]()
Regarding the countdowns, I just checked mine and manualy counted and there are 26 days until 3/23/12 + one year. Perhaps the site you are using isn't taking into account the fact that this year is a leap year since 3 weeks 4 days would be 25 days. It is also possible that they don't count the actual day of the event. I go by wakeups.
The blue light special is covered in the first couple pages of the thread. On opening day this cruise was priced at half of most summer cruises, even though it is over spring break which is usually a high price. Many of us jumped on this and during the course of the day watched the price go up as the cruise sold. Someone said that it reminded them of one of Kmart's blue light specials since after we booked some posted to the running pricing thread for opening day, which resulted in others booking the cruise. It is pretty easy for us to price the cruise online with cash value, but I am not sure if you would be able to call DVC to find out if the point cost has increased since you booked -- if it was early opening day.
That usually happens at 3:00 pm on embarkation day for a quick meet. Other events develop along the way while you are planning.
Hi Everyone! We just stepped off the Dream on Sunday. We had no intentions of cruising in 2013, want to finish our basement next year. The plan was to book a dummy date, but we had such a great time, possibly my favorite cruise ever, that we decided to go for a real date, the week the kids have spring break. Joining me on this cruise will be DH, DD9, and DD5 (ages are at the time of sailing). This will be our 6th Disney cruise, 1 Wonder, 3 Magic, 1 Dream, and soon to be 1 FANTASY!!! I am looking forward to getting to know you all!
