March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

Hey Big Red!

We haven't received any emails, but sometimes the way it's written looks wrong, our email starts with the letter "L" then mhall2000 but it's all lower case and sometimes people type Imhall instead...maybe that's my problem not your aol issue! :) Thanks!!
Tara

Bad news for us...we will not be able to join this cruse after all. Good news for us, we will be sailing the Dream in April and then spending a week in DisneyWorld.
Happy sailing to all of you!

FYI in case you haven't seen this anywhere, Southwest moved the next release date from October 5th to September 28th.:woohoo:

Yes, I did see that on the transportation board. Right now they have some good flight times and rates up until March 10 so I hope the prices stay the same for the 20th.

Well, the reason you are not getting any emails is you are not on the list!! I can't find an email or a PM with your name or info! I'm terribly sorry if you sent it to me, I must have mistakenly deleted it. If you would be so kind to send it again, I will take care of it ASAP!! You are not alone. While I was looking for your info, I found a message someone sent me in August I for got to add!!

Got the email Big Red and sent you a reply (with a question!).

One sugeestion to the high costs of food on a zipline tour is to have room service deliver sandwiches or similar - pack 'em in your backpack and enjoy a snack "free of charge."

In the past my wife and I have carried cereal boxes with us to stave off hunger until we can return to the ship while in port. And it would be safe to say that a few boxes of Cheerios allowed her to get a new wedding ring in St. Maarten! Otherwise - we had to get back to the ship during the trip she found and bargained for her dream ring...

We booked our flights today on Southwest!!! Yay!!! Not as good as a price as I was hoping, but decent enough to book it. I heard the prices have a tendancy to go up for spring break, so I wasn't going to take any chances :)

We are flying into LAX Saturday evening, then flying out of LAX on Sunday evening. I didn't even think to check other airports...

I'm leaning torward staying at a hotel near the airport on the 12th, then driving to the port on Sunday morning. The prices for hotels were a lot cheaper near LAX.

The "Unscrambled" (I hope) 5th edition is on the way. Check it out to be sure your info is right!! :teeth:

we're trying to reserve a car at LAX Friday night and turn it in Sunday before we get on the ship. Can't for some reason, anyone know why? We figured it would be cheaper to get a car than pay for a shuttle. How do we get from our Hotel to the port? I don't want to pay for a shuttle from LAX to hotel then again from Hotel :rolleyes:to the port. Any suggestions???

Where are you staying? I have to work out transport from LAX to hotel to port then port to Disneyland. If there are other dissers staying in the same place, we could go in on a shuttle and save money.

Since we are flying into LAX on Saturday, It only makes sense for us to stay @ the port that night. If enough of is stay near the port, we can get a shuttle for the group and save some money. When we get back, we are going to DL and I'm hoping Disney will have transport to DL. Then all I need to do is get back to LAX Tuesday morning. I am going to call Disney to see what my options are before I make a final decision though.

Well our flight plans changed!! Sunday March 20th is a blackout date for SW. So we have to fly home on Monday the 21st. We also changed our arrival day to late Friday March 11th. We are still staying in Ontario before the cruise. But now we are trying to find a hotel near LAX for Sunday night. We will tour Hollywood & Santa Monica all day Sunday before flying home.

Denise.....enterprise has one way rental & I heard that they are the only rental place near the port. But, you have to call them to set it up. They won't do that online.

Whew, just got our tickets. Last night all the evening flights were available on Friday, today when my husband tried to make reservations they were gone. We're leaving Friday @ 2:30ish and coming home Sunday. Going to Disneyland on Saturday.

Those of us needing transportation to & from the airports, this looks real good. These were the prices when I did a "dry run" booking. Disneyland to LAX shared ride van, $16 each. LAX to San Pedro area, $17 each, shared ride van. They are also operate to and from all the LA area airports.
