Marathon Weekend 2026

What race dates would be eligible for a POT at Marathon weekend 2026? I don’t see the information on the runDisney policy page.

Im sure this has been discussed or posted. I tried searching but dont see dates only the distance/ times. Thanks

The guidelines are in each event's description on the RunDisney site because they'll vary for each weekend.

On the topic of POT...if you get a better POT after 7/1/2025 can you try to improve your corral with Runner Relations? I am two minutes from a different corral based on the chart, but it is warming up here in Alabama so we won't have more half marathons until the fall...

I think they've been pretty consistent with requiring PoT changes at the Expo to be based on races run within the PoT window. I don't know that I've heard of a case where they've changed corral placement based on a race run after the window. Can't hurt to ask, though.

Sad day, but that is what I thought. I guess I will give the local halfs in May and June a shot and hope to not melt. 🙃

Who’s signing up for Peachtree? Registration opened today. DH and I are registered, and DS27 and his fiancée are coming down from Boston to run, as well as a couple of friends from NC. I’m determined to actually train this year, and not just muddle through on hardly any training as I did last year (and MW’s 10k). I’m back in training mode! Now, I just have to keep the motivation going….

Still deciding; I have never done Ptree, but have heard it’s great! A bit deterred by the thought of the heat. That said, it’s close by, and DH needs extra training for Dopey, so I’ll probably end up doing it. 😂

DO IT! I absolutely HATE heat, but when it comes to Peachtree, just suck it up. When my job took me to Atlanta for six months, a friend told me to sign up and I had the same thoughts as you do. But it is one of those things you just have to do if given the opportunity. It was truly a fabulous experience!

Thanks for the encouragement! I’ll look at registering tonight!

SAFD Part Deux

They are both great restaurants. No complaints about the food in either one.

Do I wish Les Halles had mobile ordering? Yes. Do I wish they'd add more seating by taking out the gift shop, considering there's another gift shop... right... next... door...? Yes. But all the food is so decadent and rich and sweet. I can't sit down fast enough with the food once I have that tray.

Do I wish that Skipper Canteen had some more fiery options, so I can turn my breath into Malficent's Dragon? Yes. Do I wish it were easier to get a table? Yes. But that cheese bread there is one of the best plates of food, period. It's so hard to decide what to eat because everything is done so well.

But if I had to go with the one place I could go over and over and not feel like I'd be tired of their food, it would be:

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.

It wouldn’t feel like the 4th of July without Peachtree. You really should have the experience at least once. Yes, it’s definitely going to be hot, but you can race it or not. The people in the back basically have a moving party. There will be sprinklers to cool you off, and there’s no better motivation to get up Cardiac Hill than seeing the patients from the Shepherd Center (spine and brain injury patients for non-Georgians on here) cheering you on from the side of the course. Disney races are large, but when P’tree is a full 60,000 people, it’s just incredible.

I’m voting for Skipper Canteen because we loved it when we went a few years ago. But now I’m adding Les Halles to our list. As West Coasters we only get to WDW every 4-5 years as a family and every 2-3 for rundisney. But 2026 I’m planning the marathon and a family July trip!

Oh wait! I googled It and I have been to Les Halles! NYE 2021/2022 and in 2016. It is good. Darn. But the line was crazy town both times. NYE for obvious reasons- my husband waited about 45 minutes while we staked out our spots around 10:15 and 2016 it was pouring so people were looking for shelter. So for that… I’m sticking with my gut and Skippers!

DH and I are in for Peachtree again. Because of the medal shortage fiasco of last year’s Triple Peach, we had not only an Atlanta Track Club discount, but also an “apology coupon” to encourage us to sign up. Of course after about 38 years of Peachtree races for DH, I don’t know how we would celebrate 4th of July if we were not in ATL!
