Where to eat at Epic?

One day in the park next week and will be eating lunch & dinner there. Two adults and a teen. Somewhat picky, all like meat & potatoes, pastas, burgers, sandwiches. Two of us like seafood. We want decent food and also a cool atmosphere. Also, anywhere with not so great food but amazing atmosphere that we shouldn't miss to get a drink or snack? I've looked at the Epic food thread but most of the reviews are not great.

We really enjoyed the food at the Oak and Star Tavern when we went for lunch. The brisket and pulled pork were really good. The atmosphere wasn't anything special but it was clean and relatively quiet. We did not eat in the bar area, we ate in the main area where you walk in. I think it's all the same food though. ???

We thought the pizza at Pizza Moon was really good too. Had a good crust and lots of different topping options. We got one Pepperoni and one Lunare. The restaurant was nicely decorated.

To add to my above reply... we did not do any sit down dining in Epic. We were only there two days and wanted to make the most of our park time. We did stay at Helios and enjoyed the dining at their restaurant Flora Taverna, but I'm not sure you're allowed to access the Helios direct entrance if you're not a guest there.

We ate in Nintendo Land because we were hungry, waiting for a return time for a ride and it is such a long walk elsewhere .... will NEVER eat in there again for multiple reasons.

SO SO SAD we didn't try Das Stakehaus in Dark Universe. Looks so cool and a good menu.

We did afternoon "snack" in Harry Potter land at Le Gobelet Noir. Many rooms, very themed and great spot of quick fare and rest. The other dining spots in HP look great too but we were not that hungry.

By time we got to dinner we weren't hungry enough and didn't want to waste time so we ate a late dinner outside after closing.

We peeked at the restaurants in Celestial but they just looked like franchises you would find anywhere, lightly themed. I think at one point that area was to be a "City Walk" style area so makes sense.

We looked at Mead Hall in Dragon land but other than meatballs there was NOTHING on the menu we were interested in. I get it fits the theme but ...

We loved Das Stakehaus and Café L’air De La Sirène (HP area)
Those were the two I was leaning towards so this is helpful!

The teen wanted to eat in Nintendo Land so this is good to know. We'll avoid that one. Was also looking at the celestial restaurants but won't bother if they're nothing special.

I really liked Meteor Astropub. It's not earth-shattering (get it?!) but was solid good food even by non theme park standards, not crazy expensive, and not busy. Convenient near Stardust if one person wants to ride Stardust and the other wants to sit it out... in AC with a beer.

I did 2 days at Epic last September- enjoyed Pizza Moon, the Mac and Cheese cones in Berk -Spit Fyre I think was the name. The bbq at Oak and Star -(they sort of lost my mobile order and had to flag someone down). Das Stakehous had a super cool interior ( I think I had some chicken dish) . Don’t recommend Toad Stool cafe- it was crazy *** busy even if you mobile order still have to wait in a giant line to get seated. Try to eat at off peak times because waiting for seating at various places is definitely a concern. I also recommend get a Refillable mug. The freestyle machines in the different portals even have their own special mixes.

The Quiche Lorraine at Cafe...Sirene is the best thing we've had over 4 Epic trips. We also love the Burning Cheddar Bites at Burning Blade as a snack.
Toadstool was by far the worse, but I would return for the Princess Peach cake.

We were there for 2 days. Lunch at Das Stakehaus and Mead Hall were amazing. Love their mobile ordering after you sit down at your table and they bring the food to you. We also ate at Atlantic and Blue Dragon for dinner. Both were very good, but Blue Dragon was outstanding!

I have seen some complaints. Not sure what they are about unless the people prefer the plain type burgers and all common in theme parks. To be fair, lots of people do like what is offered everyday elsewhere so if the family favors such things go plain and simple, I bet in Nintendo where it is kid themed foods will be less snazzy and more standard because kids prefer what is expected.

If you are looking for pizzaz:

Café L’air De La Sirène for the crepes, you can get butterbeer with the crepe meal so it is a bargain IMO because the butterbeer drinks are close to $10 at the carts. The butterbeer crepe is fun but sweet so we got it more of as a dessert to be shared. All loved the Quiche Lorraine. We ate here every single day we went to EPIC in the morning.

We loved Blue Dragon and Atlantic Fish, went to Blue Moon twice - the shared tea was fun and all loved the dragon rice.

Pizza Moon was terrific, I thought it would be some of those flatbread snack pizzas but it was full meal pizza, much better than expected.

We got the burger and wings at Das Stakehaus and shared, place is super cool looking and the food was good for what it is. The black bread on the burger was super tasty and seasoned but I can see how this would throw a kid who wants plain bread flavor.

DD and her BF ate at Oak and Star Tavern and said how great the BBQ stuff was there, sadly I never got there but she is super picky so I believe her.

I loved The Blue Dragon.

Also Café L’air De La Sirène for the Butterbeer Crepe. We were only there for a day, so we didn't get to try as much as I wanted.

We were there 2 weeks ago.
Lunch was at Mead Hall and Das Stakehaus. Both were really good. LOVE thier mobil ordering system.
Dinner was at Atlantic and Blue Dragon. Both were incredible, but Blue Dragon was our favorite, probably because the 3 of us shared all the entrees so got to try many items. Also Burning blade Tavern is really fun.

We had one day in Epic last November, 4 adults and two picky kids. We LOVED OUR CHOICES. Le Goblet Noir, the corn beef sandwich is to die for, the schnitzel was delicious! Must have is a mac and cheese cone for snack to share! Dinner at Meteor Pub was a great choice, I loved the sloppy Joe, was told the brisket they use is from the smoker at Oak and Star Tavern.

Some one just pointed out that the theming of Pizza Moon reminded them of Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness by the Smashing Pumpkins. It's making me want to try it on my first Epic trip, glad to know that the pizza there is solid.

Just looked up the Lunare pizza and WOW i'm def trying it!
