Marathon Weekend 2026

SAFD: I’ll give this one to Skipper’s - I haven’t actually eaten there since pre-2020, but they really came through for me this past Halloween when I joined friends who were there for dinner for a badly-needed sangria, sipped through a straw sticking out of my mask. :rotfl:

SAFD: I really want to like Skippers Canteen, but the last few times I ate there the food was mediocre. On the other hand, Les Halles is such a pain to eat at, with consistent long lines and no mobile ordering. I'll have to give it to Les Halles though, since I've never had anything that wasn't great from there.

We have never ate at Skipper Canteen before. Our family is not big sit down meals people when we are at WDW. We are usually grab and go so we can get on our next ride. But in May, it's just going to be my wife and I headed down for the weekend before my work conference at Universal. Based on everyone's feedback here, just booked a lunch for us at Skipper Canteen. Looking forward to it.

Well, potentially some good news today. I haven't been able to run since a badly strained hamstring led to a DNF of the MW marathon ~10 weeks ago. After a lot of rest, light walking and stretching/strengthening exercises, I've gotten the green light from my PT to start easing back into running this weekend. There's a good deal of anxiety and reluctance to trust the leg at this point, so fingers crossed it goes well.
Good luck with it. Slow ramp back up is the way to go.
