I went out and did 7 miles at 0900 this morning in the UK. It was a nice and tropical -1 (30F ish), really helped prepare fore the marathon next weekend. Shorts and T Shirt all the way.....

You and I couldn't be farther apart with our climate experiences. Perhaps we could just meet in the middle. Then again, I would still feel uncomfortably cold if it were 7C.I went out and did 7 miles at 0900 this morning in the UK. I take it back: I think I’ll add a pair of capris to the pile. So I can choose between thermal tights, regular tights, capris, or shorts. Literally every leg option I own - why not lol?!Overnight lows are trending up a bit… which will not change what I’m bringing at all. Still opting for layers and will choose between thermal or regular weight tights on race morning.
Good call on this one @Disneyhanna. I just got this in yesterday and it is perfect. I usually use bib magnets, but with the expected cold temps I will probably have my zip up hoodie on the entire time and I can put this around my rib cage over the hoodie. If I decide to take the hoodie off it will be easy to take this off and readjust.View attachment 924647
I believe it was the first option lol. Seems well made and easy to use! I didn’t need the versions that hold gu, I’ve heard horror stories of people losing too many from their belt to trust those!
Did you already find the "pocket" in the back? You can use it for storing around three gels in addition to the front pockets. To @nancipants and whoever else recommended the Janji Pace shorts -- THANK YOU!!! I just did a test run in them over top of a pair of leggings with the pockets stuffed FULL of alllll the fuel I'll need for the marathon and it's like they weren't even there. Didn't budge, and nothing got squashed or broken. Now, it looks pretty ridiculous unless I add the skirt layer on top (TBD gametime decision) but I don't even care. These shorts are MAGIC!
I DID! I actually didn't use it for anything at the start as I wanted to test out holding my underneath layer in there (which worked great). I may redistribute a bit for the race though, as I've got other options for ditching or handing off layers.Did you already find the "pocket" in the back? They are the BEST shorts! @GollyGadget praises them, too. Glad they worked for you!To @nancipants and whoever else recommended the Janji Pace shorts -- THANK YOU!!! 5 miles yesterday and this morning. Obviously the perfect training for races in FL
For me this is a 32*heat base layer from Costco with shorts and T-shirt. Throw on thin hat and gloves and I’m sweating.

Seriously. The humidity in my office right now is sitting at 22%. I feel like a shriveled up prune! I’m unhappy with anything under 70%.

So… Weather Channel now has the overnight low Friday up to 49º. That’s basically 50º. Which is almost 20º warmer than what we were looking at just a few days ago. This is why I keep saying no forecast can be trusted until it’s hours out - and even then it’s still suspect. Will I even need that orange jacket that was just delivered at this rate?!![]()
Meanwhile I'm like yes, give me more dry!!!! No sweaty mess in my race photos!!!Seriously. The humidity in my office right now is sitting at 22%. I feel like a shriveled up prune! I’m unhappy with anything under 70%.![]()

Repeating what GuinnessRunner and others have eloquently said. Thank you so much for putting together this document. I just looked at it thoroughly today, and it is amazing!Thank you @Herding_Cats @Kerry1957 and @The Expert for putting in the time and work to make this happen again (and of course @DopeyBadger for the orginal work)! Another example of what makes this group so great! Like the release of the event guide, I love seeing this come out as it helps build my excitement for next week.
jokes on me, my suitcase hasn't gone away from our christmas trip, it's just collecting magic bands, running gels, charging blocks etc.I wouldn't even have my suitcases out yet a full day before my flight
